Another night, another calm relaxing at the Lake's edge. Keeper laid himself easily next to the water, staring down at his reflection. His own appearance staring straight back him, he was able to see himself through his own eyes. His orange and blue eyes looked full of loneliness missing his humanoid friend. Drey's been gone for three days now and since Keeper has ran into a few intresting things. A female named Mizu and a strange Dustling with fins. What intresting things would become of this night?

The_Thread _Reaper Looking up at the sky, Amani comes out of her trance and picks herself up off the ground. She hasn't been all that active lately..and a walk may do her tired frame a little good. With a small sigh she started her walk along the shore of serpent's lake.
She'd spent most of her time just wandering and hunting down food. She hadn't even been in the company of another before. All this time alone was really starting to wear down on her.
Upon reaching the lake, she spotted the figure of another dustling in the distance. Blinking, she took a few daring steps foreward to get a better look at him. Maybe he was friendly...or at least, she hoped he would be. Her bright pink and turqoise featherfur would surely give her away.

Keeper's eyes caught something with his perififial vision. Something very bright. He jerked his head, it was another Dustling and by it's scent it was a female. Wow...three nights, three females. He seemed lucky, he's a keeper.
"Hello there, stranger." he greeted. Keeper rose to his feet and bowed, "My name is Keeper." he smiled warmly, "And you are?" the dragon asked. The dragon stood straight and tall, holding himself high trying not to insult his friend with a sloppy body language.

The_Thread _Reaper Amani smiled at Keeper's warm greeting, and felt inclined to bow in return. After she straightened herself up, she felt safe enough to take a few steps foreward, carrying herself in the most graceful manner she could manage.
"My name is Amani," she said with a nod, " I'm glad to finally meet someone else out here." Something about the dustling's manner put her at ease. She could certainly get used to company like his.

Keeper's posture relaxed a bit. She's so...elegant he thought, a slight blush on his face makin his blue fur a hue of violet. "Uh...um...That is rather unique name, Amani. What does it mean?" he asked, sitting himself down. The female was so small and lithe compared to Keeper's large bulky frame. Females were truely a egnimatic subject to the dragon. Mizu was shy around him. The Merdust attacked him. And Amani was pure beauty. Wonder what other males are like.
"I am here everynight, in this same spot." he said, looking down at pressed grass that formed after many nights of laying upon it. "Every night while he's away."

The_Thread _Reaper Amani smiles a little to herself as she settles down by the lake. She saw Keepers blush and couldn't help but giggle. "It means 'wishes'..though I'm not sure who named me.."
Looking down, she noticed the imprint he made on the grass. He certainly had been there for a long time. " Who are you waiting for Keeper..?" She tilted her head at him a little with her question, wrapping her tail around herself as she sits there.

"My brother." he said bluntly. If people knew who Drey was, they would get confused if Keeper said brother. To Kepper, Drey was just that, a brother. The two have been together for the longest time, and it was only natural to call him a brother, a family.
"He's in the city now, I'm just waiting for him to come back." he replied, "The Lake is where he'll have to go through to get to the den so I can catch him first." he smiled

The_Thread _Reaper Amani didn't know who this Drey was..but she thought it normal that such a nice dust has a family. Maybe she was just the odd one out in that department.
" It must be nice to have a family..what are they like?" she asked politely. She was more interested in Keeper himself..but it would be rude to ignore his family, wouldn't it?

"Ah, it's not all that special. He studies and I wait for him. But do often play together." maybe his past should be kept to himself. True their life was sort of....dull at times, but he just wanted to be around Drey. Keeper laid himself down, he wasn't used to standing or sitting for long moments, he always had to move or do something to keep himself sane, usually wag his tail when he doesn't have to.
"Eh, nuff about me, what about you, Amani? What about you?" it was obviously clear that this female had no family of her own, so it would be polite to comfort her as best as possible.

The_Thread _Reaper Amani took the time to stretch a little as she laid down in the grass...pondering the question at hand. She really didn't have a lot to say..her whole life until now had been spent just scraping by a living..not exactly eventful.
She smiled slightly and tried to make the best of it. " Well, until now I've never met another dustling before..but I do love to hunt and fish..Usually that's what I spend most of my time doing." It was a start. It wasn't right to call something she needed to survive a hobby, but at least it was something she was good at.
Her expression darkened a little..she was reminded again just how lonely she was. her whole life was hunting and fishing and finding somewhere to sleep. She didn't really have time for hobbies..

"Oh? Hunting, heh." he laughed remembering how Drey taught him to hunt. For a human to teach a Dustling to hunt was unorthodox. But somehow, the two managed. "I can hunt sort of. Catch a fish or two, but rather small ones."
Keeper rolled onto his side with a smile. "So you live out here by yourself?" he asked, "It must be intresting to live out in the wild. Me and Drey live in a den we built some time ago."

The_Thread _Reaper Amani brightened again, smiling a little more. The way Keeper carried himself was...what was the word..cute? Yep..that was the one. His cheerfulness really did help her mood..it was contageous.
" Interesting? ..Well..the animals out there really do keep you on your toes..and having the freedom to travel as I please is nice too. Though it is quite bothersome when I get caught in the rain" She shrugs a little, " can't say a free shower isn't nice though." She smiles at him again and waves her tail a little, stretching once more very deeply.

"Well, you can always take shelter in our den when it does." he smiled, "I'll dig an extra chamber for guests." the dragon added rolling onto his other side. "Guests would be nice now and again."
It was only about a week ago Drey asked Keeper what he would do if there were other Dustlings around. Keeper replied, "I'd kill them..." Drey simpl laughed at his brother's reaction. He asked why and he replied, "Because I don't want them to take you from me." he laughed again. The human asked why couldn't he share, he replied, "Because I want you to myself. You and no one else." Drey remained silent after soft chuckle and a hug.

The_Thread _Reaper Amani looked at keeper for a moment..surprised by his suddon offer. Did he really mean it? A roof over her head? That would certainly take things off her mind..
Timidly she spoke..she couldn't help but look a little hopeful. " R-really? You mean it?" She looked down a little, she didn't want to seem greedy..it was rude to expect someone to break their back for you..she wouldn't want to cause that. " I..I wouldn't want to impose of cause you trouble..."

"No, of course. I've been quite busy during the days since the Lake is rather crude during the day time. So instead of sleeping all day, I can work out with a good dig." he smiled, now laing on his back looking up at her. "I need to keep working myself if I am to be presentable, no?" a rhetorical question.
