The rain pelted Vib's coat as he stood there silently his head tilted backwords. His sides heaved heavily..was the stallion crying? The pelting onslaught made it hard to tell.
Steam rose from his back and sides as the cold water hit his overly hot coat. Flowers that matched the streaks in his mane sat in random places in his mane and tail, also adorning him were two new steel band son his hind legs and a string of feathers that matched.

Rain was such a beautiful thing. A touch of crystal in a world dominated by darkness. A smile tipped at the corner's of the paint's mouth as she raised her head to meet the falling sky. A heavy breath emitted from her throat, steaming and swirling into the air, making intracate patterns as it twirled. She turned her head to watch it warmly, laughed as the cool surface of rain caressed her sweet skin. The mare was brown for the most part, but suddenly poiniented by sharp white on her face. White landed on her back, legs dipped in white ink, completing the gene that was tobiano.
Her smile broadened, then faded as she dropped her head once more, thick hair falling over soft blue eyes. Her brows furrowed as she caught the glimpse of white in the distance, followed by a shower of colors. Her mouth opened slightly agape as she realized who it was.
Calamity would not be happy with her, but at a time like this in the crisp air Rain could not care for such small trifles. The Kalona had something crawling up his hind anyway.
Her feet sprayed mud in all directions, tainting her perfectly white hairs. Her pace was slow, and a bit wary, perhaps more so concerned. She finally was near enough to consider an approach. "Vib?" she asked faintly.

Vib's ears twitched at the sound of his name floating through the wind. Turning his head he finally opened the glowing eyes, gone was the carefree look he'd once held in their depths they were lace dnow with many diffrent emmotions.
"Hello Rain, Won't Calamity be angry with you for meeting me?" His eyes flashe dwith a mixture of pai nand hatred at the spoken name but on the outter shell he kept an air of calm collected indiffrence.

Rain looked very troubled and concerned by the look in Vib's face. That glow was what she looked forward to. It was what she liked about him, his unwavering love for the world. Where had that gone? Curse the b------ who stole it from him. She shook her head to fling some of the rain soaked mane out of her eyes. She offered him a sweet smile to try and cheer up his mood.
"Calamity isn't here now is he?" she said, the mischeviousness forever in her voice. "He doesn't have to know. Unless you'd prefer to tell him and get your hide skinned?" She knew he hated Calamity. Hate was not something Rain knew. She disliked some, but never had she hated another. The only one she could hate would be the one to injure her Little Creek. None had done so yet, so her mood stayed light and her attention neutral.
"Why so gloom, you are Vibrant remember?" Her voice was full of hope, yet at the same time there was a sense of expectancy from him. She eyed him curiously and circled him, comming to his right side.
"The rain is beautiful isn't it?" Her gaze went skywards once more.

He smiled softly, but he saw the way she looked at him as if expecting him to be the same forever. "I've been thinking...about many things." The stallion shook his head "No...i shant tell Calamity...he shall see hide nor hair of me, my mate...or my children." when he spoke of his mate and the children they'd have in the future that happy light still burning deep ignighted within him again.
He tossed his head and his eyes stared at the dark sky challanging them to do their worst. His heart throbbed so loud he swore she could hear it, his untamed spirit screamed to the heavens and the four scattering winds.
"Yes the rain is nice, it cools this burning hide of mine, and sometimes the hatred in my heart."

(( That 'I've been thinking of many things" reminded me of DragonHeart in that Bowen scene. Finishing up with "Mostly about a name for you." XD ::shot:: )) Thinking? Rain wondered to herself, taking her eyes from the pouring rain down to look at Vibrant. It was always polite to look at someone when they were speaking. Rain did it automatically, without even having to think about it.
Rain was shocked about his next statement. She knew she hadn't seen him in a while, but children?
"You have done well for yourself," she said calmly. "A mate already. I could only hope to do so well in my life." Though she seemed to know and love all, none returned that warmth, or if they did she was to far out of reach for them to jump out and grasp.
"What have you been thinking of?" The mare nipped lightly at the strange flowers in his hair. They intrigued her so. She wondered how such a thing could nestle itself so perfectly into one's mane.

"We haven't had foals yet...but we're planning one it." he smiled softly "i guess I've done well for myself, Awnaety is one of the sweetest mares ever...you'd like her i think."
Giving the mare a soft nuzzle he smiled "You'll find the right one someday Rain...you're a kind sweet mare ... the right mate for your is out there somewhere you just ain't found him yet."
He watched her n** at the flowers in his mane, "About my family I guess, I fear for my children's feelings being foals sprung by my loins...especially around that Remy and Calamity. But i know they'll be strong even faced against their attackers."
He stared off itnto space for a minute a frown casting over his sparkling face ebfor eocne mroe he forced that happily glitte rinto his glowing eyes.

Foals. She shoved the thought to the back of her mind with a sigh. How she hated them with their obnoxious questions and their sweet innocence. No, she wouldn't have children if she could help it. She would never be able to raise them. "I would like to meet her sometime," then she added. "Provided Calamity doesn't hunt me down."
She smiled lightly at him. Him or her she added to herself. It was such a strange thing to think about, this not minding of genders. In some ways it scared her, but if she was to live her life with someone who cared what gender they were? She was in it for the love of caring companionship. Eternal friendship and truth, not for love. She sighed.
"You should not fear for them. You will give them a heart, and with that they can conquer the world." She meant every word in that. She believed spirit was everything. She smiled as the glint came back and turned her attention to the distance, following his eyesight.
She felt like running, but she held herself, her muscles twitched, longing for the tumbling earth beneath her hooves. Her heart thumped wildly in anticipation, but she set it to rest. "You would make a fine father."

"Who is Calamity to control you dearest Rain? We are all free like the four winds none can bind us to ones will" he tosse dhis head again. "maybe I'll make a good father...that answer will only come when i have foals."
He clsoed his eyes as the wind lifted his mane once more, he was one with the wind, of the pulse that thudded from the earth beneath his hooves.
A smile graced his muzzle, "wanna run?" ah yes Vib to loved to run...to feel the wind whip against his body and to hear the thunder from his hooves.

Rain beamed at Vibrant. He was right, Calamity had no power over her, despite though he may think it. "The four winds clash," was the only response Rain could think to give. They four shared the power. Only one could reign at a time. Who then, was the wind now?
It was as if he had red her mind. "Why, I'd love to!" she exclaimed, the fire welling up in her eyes.
The rain tearing against her flesh while she arched her neck and let her feet fly. Dripping down her face into the neverworld below. Running was her life. Kicking out her heels into the air she tore forwards, hoping Vib would follow quickly.

"Indeed...but it's not always the stronger that wins."
He let out a sound almost like a mountain lions roar, but it wasn't angry it was playfull.
With lightning under his hoove she took off after her, hooves drummed like thunder and the earth trembold as the galloped.
Vib pulled along side Rain and stayed there, but he stayed far enough away that the shower of sparkles he was throwing didn't cast any into her coat, even though they just would have been washed away during their gallop.

She had always held a certain facination for the shower of glittering color that seemed to pour from Vibrant's coat. It was a spectacle she had never seen before in her life, that is before meeting the stallion she now ran next to.
It brought back memories of running with Calamity, but she shoved them aside as it was no time to think of thoughts of the Kalona. The rain felt cool on her sweating body, causing white mist to billow upwards from her warm back.
She was about to pick up the speed when she heard a sharp whistle over the open plains. Her ears flicked and she skidded to a stop. Gracing Vibrant with a large smile she excused herself.
"I'm afraid my time is up. It was a pleasure meeting you again. I wish you luck with your family. May times be well. Seek peace, breathe deep."
With that she broke the silence with her paws and took off towards the sound of the distant whistle.

"Come back and visit again Rain," he watched her gallop away. A streak of lightning sliced the sky and hit nearby the stallion, but Vib did not jump but instead turned his head twoards the sky and bellowed a roar of challange to mother nature itself.
He reared bloody looking hooves pounding the air, when it came to nature Vib was fearless and uncaring.
