Subject: Wally West
Hero Identity: The Flash, Kid Flash
First Appearance: Flash (first series) #110 (as Kid Flash), Crisis on Infinite Earths #12 (as The Flash)
Origin File: Wally West was a ten year old boy who hero-worshipped the Flash. During his summer vacation, he was sent to visit his Aunt Iris West in Central City, hoping to get a chance to meet his idol. Unknown to Wally, his aunt's fiance, Barry Allen, was none other then the Flash himself!
Deciding to give one of his fans a thrill, Barry invited Wally to check out his lab, which he said the Flash often used. When Wally looked inside, Barry quickly changed, and Wally's dream of meeting his hero finally came true. Wally asked how the Flash got his amazing power, and with super-speed, the Flash filled a cabinet with the exact same chemicals that were doused on him the night he was struck by lightning and gained his super-speed. Wally looked closely, and in a million-to-two accident, he was also struck by lightning! Just like it did for Barry, Wally was granted super-speed, and became the sidekick to his hero, Kid Flash!
Wally was Barry's aide for many years, until the Crisis on Infinite Earths occured. When all of the heroes of every world gathered to try and stop the Anti-Monitor, The Flash was captured. He managed to escape, and determined to stop the Anti-Monitor by destroying his main weapon. To do so, he had to break all previous speed barriers. It suceeded, but it cost him his life. Faced with the sight of Barry's empty costume and Flash ring, Wally made the choice to follow in his mentor's footsteps, and become the third man to carry the mantle of The Flash.

Subject: Linda Lee Danvers
Hero Identity: Supergirl
First Appearance: Action Comics #252
Origin File: One day, Superman looked out his window and saw a rocket speeding to earth! His super-senses told him that someone alive was inside, so he sped to check it out. He arrived too late to stop it from crashing, but to his surprise, a young, blonde girl popped out, wearing a costume similar to his!
The mysterious girl explained that she was Kara, a survivor of Krypton, just like him. When Krypton exploded, not only Kal-El's rocket survived, but a chunk of the planet containing Argo City was blown away, intact. On this chunk, many Kryptonians survived for years, even though the atomic reaction that blew up Krypton changed their land into Kryptonite. They had covered the ground with lead shielding to protect themselves. However, after Kara had turned 15, a meteor shower pounded into Argo City, puncturing the lead shielding, and releasing deadly Kryptonite gas! Faced with immentent death, Kara's scientist father searched for a world they could send their daughter to survive. They were amazed to find Superman, a Kryptonian man, living on earth, and decided to send Kara there, where she would have super powers and be able to live. Kara's mother even sewed her a Supergirl costume so Superman would know her for a Krypton girl.
After explaining her story, she and Superman discovered that they were, in fact, cousins-Kara's father Zor-El was Superman's father, Jor-El's, brother! Overjoyed, Superman found an orphanage for Supergirl to live in while she got acclimated to life on earth. She chose the name Linda Lee for her earth identity, and promised to Superman that she would keep her existance a secret and act as his emergancy weapon until he decided she was ready to reveal her existance to the world.

Name: Patience Phillips
Hero Identity: Catwoman
First Appearance: Bad dream by WB execs
Origin File: Rumors of a solo Catwoman movie have been flying for years, ever since the success of "Batman Returns." First it was rumored that Michelle Pfiefer would be repraising her role as Selina Kyle, but then other names, including Julia Roberts and Ashley Judd were thrown around.
Finally, word came down that the Catwoman movie was going to see production-but it ended up being very different then what people had originally expected. Instead of Selina Kyle, Halle Barry would be starring as a brand new Catwoman, named Patience Phillips. In the movie, Patience gains Cat-like superpowers after a near-death experiment from her pet cat. She uses them to torment the cosmetics firm that had her killed.

Name: Frankie Raye
Hero Identity: Nova
First appearance: (as Frankie Raye) Fantastic Four #164, (with Human Torch powers) Fantastic Four #238, (as herald of Galactus) Fantastic Four # 244, (with name Nova) Fantastic Four #257 Death: Silver Surfer #75
Origin file: Shortly after Frankie Raye’s father died, her mother married Professor Phineas T. Horton then known as Thomas Raye. In the 1940's and 50's, Professor Horton invented the original android Human Torch, but the government feared android and future androids would be too dangerous and had all of his equipment and chemicals stored in a warehouse. Not long after Frankie’s mother married Horton, she did, leaving Horton alone in raising Frankie up. During which time, Horton began drinking. After the public saw the Human Torch (from the Fantastic Four), Horton became angry that someone was using his android’s name and, with his stepdaughter (now 14), broke into the warehouse to get his equipment. There, a rotting floorboard gave way, causing Frankie to fall and the chemicals she was carrying to catch fire. The flames caused by chemicals mutated Frankie, giving her the ability to flame on, without burning her body. Horton, overwhelmed by guilt, left her, but first he hypnotized her so she would not remember the event, her new powers, or even her life with Horton. Every week, Horton sent Frankie money, until a year had passed when he sent her a costume and a tape. On the tape she told her to put the costume on, then he hypnotized her into not remembering the tape or that she had put the costume on. The costume was invisible to the normal eye when underneath her costume, and, because of Horton’s hypnotism, Frankie could never see the costume. Then when Frankie saw the Human Torch, she felt an odd connection to him. After she dated Johnny Storm for awhile, all her memories were restored, and she could now use her powers. She trained with the Fantastic Four for awhile, but always wanted something more "cosmic." When Galactus returned to earth, Frankie agreed to become his herald, and she was granted the Power Cosmic. Now, she was even more powerful and went by the name Nova. She served Galactus by leading him to planets, many times populated ones. Later, she no longer wants to lead Galactus to populated planets. Galactus dismisses her and finds a new herald, Morg, who does not care about other lives. Not agreeing with Galactus’s decision, Silver Surfer assembles Galactus’s former heralds and attacks Morg. The heralds eventually defeat Morg, but not before Nova dies in the battle.

Subject name: Raven Darkholme aka Mallory Brickman Villain Identity: Mystique First Appearance: (as Raven Darkholme) Ms. Marvel #16 (as Mystique) Ms. Marvel #18
Origin File: The birthplace, birthdate, and immediate family of Raven Darkholme are unknown and open to conjecture. However, she has hinted that she could be over a hundred years old and possibly something far more sinister than a mutant. Further evidence that Mystique is far older than she would appear (approximately 30) is that she would alter her appearance in the company of Destiny to a man of her age, which would explain their affinity for each other.
The first known account of Raven Darkholme was under the assumed identity of Mallory Brickman, the wife of senator Robert Brickman. During that time, she also worked for the US government under the identity of Raven Darkholme, rising to the rank of Deputy Director of the Defense Advanced Research Planning Agency (DARPA), which allowed her access to powerful and experimental weapondry that she aquired for use in reviving the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants into what would become it's third incarnation (including Avalanche, Blob, Destiny, and Pyro).
Raven also earned a presidential pardon when she led the US Government backed Freedom Force in the apprehension of the notorious mutant terrorist Magneto, founder of the original incarnation of the Brotherhood of Evil.
She has since earned the wrath of the US government by abandoning Freedom Force and was apprehended for a short period of time by Homeland Security. Fortunately she was rescued by Charles Xavier under the guise of Magneto (who was deceased at the time), and took her into his employ for black bag missions under the authority of Forge (Mystique's ex lover).
Mystique has the chameleon like ability to change her appearance into any human or semi human form, adopting the form's exact appearance and voice patterns. However she cannot change her body mass (approximately two hundred pounds by her own admission), which limits the amount of time that she can assume larger forms. It has been theorized that she cannot take on the form of inanimate objects because it would interfere with the functioning of her organs and possibly result in her death. But much like everything else with Mystique, the full extent of her powers remains unknown, as well as her true origin and appearance.

Subject: Steve Rogers
Hero Identity: Captain America
First Appearance: CAPTAIN AMERICA COMICS #1 (1941)
Origin File: Steve Rogers was born during the Depression and grew up a frail youth in a poor family. His father died when he was a child, his mother when he was in his late teens. Horrified by newsreel footage of the Nazis in Europe, Rogers was inspired to try to enlist in the Army. However, because of his frailty and sickness, he was rejected. Overhearing the boy's earnest plea to be accepted, General Chester Phillips of the U.S. Army offered Rogers the opportunity to take part in a special experiment called Operation: Rebirth. Rogers agreed and was taken to a secret laboratory in Washington, D.C. where he was introduced to Dr. Abrahan Erskine (code named: Prof. Reinstein), the creator to the Super-Soldier formula.
After weeks of tests, Rogers was at last administered the Super-Soldier serum. Given part of the compound intravenously and another part orally, Rogers was then bombarded by "vita-rays," a special combination of exotic (in 1941) wavelengths of radiation designed to accelerate and stabilize the serum's effect on his body. Steve Rogers emerged from the vita-ray chamber with a body as perfect as a body can be and still be human. A Nazi spy who observed the experiment murdered Dr. Erskine mere minutes after its conclusion. Erskine died without fully committing the Super-Soldier formula to paper, leaving Steve Rogers the Sole beneficiary of his genius.
Roger was then put through an intensive physical and tactical training program, teaching him gymnastics, hand-to-hand combat and military strategy. Three months later, he was given his first assignment, to stop the Nazi agent called the Red Skull. To help him become a symbolic counterpart to the Red Skull, Rogers was given the red, white, and blue costume of Captain America.
During the war, he served as both a symbol of freedom and America's most effective special operative. Then, during the final days of the war, he was trying to stop a bomb-loaded drone-plane launched by Nazi technician Baron Heinrich Zemo when the plane exploded, killing his partner Bucky; and throwing him unhurt into icy Arctic waters. The Super-Soldier formula prevented crystallization of Captain America's bodily fluid, allowing him to enter a state of suspended animation. Decades later, he was rescued by the newly-formed Avengers and became a cornerstone of the team. His might undiminished. Captain America remains a symbol of liberty and justice.

Name: Helena Bertinelli
Hero name: Huntress
First appearance: Huntress #1 1989
Origin file: At present, Oracle does not know Helena Bertinelli personally. She is, however, an acquaintance of the Huntress. And perhaps it is only a matter of time before Barbara Gordon figures out that her occasional ally is actually the sole surviving member of a mob family murdered by rival factions of the city's Mafioso.
In her youth, La Cosa Nostra robbed Helena of her parents and brother, forcing her to seek refuge among Sicilian relations. Trained to fight by her cousin, Helena later returned to Gotham, determined to hunt down the men who ordered and carried out her family's destruction. Her retribution involved dismantling the organization to which she was once bound by blood.
As the Huntress, Helena armed herself with crossbow and knife, stalking Gotham's organized crime figures with a violent intent. The city's Dark Knight defender, Batman, has tried time and again to temper her methods, even nominating her for membership in the Justice League of America, though he later had her membership revoked. But, through it all, the Huntress has remained unwilling to compromise her convictions.
Most recently, Helena found herself a pawn of Checkmate, an ultra-secret law-enforcement agency which offered the Huntress its "Queen" position in exchange for information on the Dark Knight. With Batman's help, Helena accepted Checkmate's offer without betraying him. There is little doubt that the Huntress plans to extricate herself from Checkmate's control.
Time will tell if Oracle has the means, or the desire, to make the Huntress another of her trusted Birds of Prey.
Note: This was taken from DC's web site, but it has not been updated for a few months. I'll update it shortly.

Subject: Virgil Hawkins
Hero Identity: Static
First Appearance: STATIC #1 (1993)
Origin File: Virgil Hawkins was a typically geeky fifteen-year-old student at one of Dakota's most troubled high schools, Ernest Hemingway High. He was your average strugglin' teenager, going through the growing pains of high school. He was beaten up one time too many by bullies in school, decided he must act and bought a gun. At the last minute he decided he wouldn't take a life and wandered Dakota in deep thought, and became witness to the gang warfare on the night of the Big Bang.
Sprayed by the same radioactive gas as the gang members, Virgil survived to discover that he, like the other "bang babies," has a slew of new superhuman abilities. Virgil has the ability to manipulate electromagnetic currents; he can generate force fields, "taser punches," lightning bolts and can even fly by surfing on elecromagnetcally charged discs of metal such as garbage can lids and manhole covers. A comic book fan himself, Virgil relishes his chance to don his homemade blue and white tights and one of an asortment of baseball caps to become the dashing teen superhero with the ready quip, Static.

Name: Patricia "Patsy" Walker
Hero name: Hellcat
First appearance: (As Patsy) Patsy Walker comics #1 1945, (As Hellcat) Avengers #144
Origin file: A bored, abused housewife and former child model whose mother used her as the basis for a popular series of teen comic books, Patsy Walker was a life-long admirer of super-heroes. After aiding the Beast on a case, she made him promise to help her become a super-hero. He agreed, thinking she would never hold him to it. Shortly after The Beast joined the Avengers, the newly divorced Patsy Walker appeared seeking a new and more exciting purpose in life, demanding that The Beast keep his promise of training her as a super-hero. To this end, Walker accompanied the Avengers on a mission, during which she discovered and adopted a surviving prototype of the costume once worn by the female crimefighter known as The Cat. The suit was designed to enhance the wearer's physical abilities (which it did, more by the power of suggestion than anything else), and the naturally athletic Walker used it to join the Avengers in action as the Hellcat. She accompanied them in an unofficial capacity for some time thereafter, and was soon invited to join the active roster. She would have accepted, but fellow probationary recruit Moondragon convinced Hellcat to undergo further training with her first, and the two departed from the group as reserve members. Hellcat soon completed her training but never did join the Avengers full time, though she has assisted the group on an irregular basis over the years. She has devoted most of her superheroic energies to the Defenders, an informal team of adventurers whom she befriended shortly after parting company with Moondragon. She remained a key member of that team for years until marrying fellow member Daimon Hellstrom (the half-demonic "Son of Satan"); the couple then retired from the group, working as demonologists and occult investigators. Patsy even wrote a successful volume of memoirs about her bizarre life experiences (The Hellcat Chronicles), only occasionally resuming her Hellcat guise. Eventually, Hellstrom's repressed demonic nature reasserted itself and drove Patsy mad, reducing her to an incoherent, near-vegetable state. Daimon kept her locked away in an upstairs room while he got on with his life, and he even began cheating on her. Eventually, he inherited his father's position as ruler of one of the universe's several hells (dimensions of spiritual torment), largely withdrawing from human contact. Patsy, meanwhile, had been slain by the mystical mercy-killing entity known as Deathurge, which sensed her pain and despair and acted on her desire for death by expelling her spirit from her body. Her soul was restless, though, and remained linked to the Earthly plane, contacting the world of the living through a radio and promising to return someday. Because of the manner of her death, and because of her connection to Daimon, Patsy's soul was captured by one of the rival demon lords, Mephisto, and imprisoned in his hellish realm. Once there, Patsy was forced to fight in Mephisto's Arena of Tainted Souls, where corrupted heroes and warriors are locked in eternal combat. While there, she fought alongside Mockingbird, another Avenger whose soul had been trapped by Mephisto. When Mockingbird and Hellcat were among the deceased Avengers temporarily resurrected by the Grim Reaper to battle the living Avengers, they and the other dead Avengers turned against the Reaper to save their living teammates, dying anew in the process--but before they faded away, Hellcat realized how much she missed living, and Mockingbird tried to send her husband Hawkeye a message about a way to rescue Patsy from Hell. The message was garbled, though, and Daimon Hellstrom used it to manipulate Hawkeye into thinking he was meant to rescue Mockingbird. Hawkeye and his Thunderbolts invaded Mephisto's hell to attempt this, but were surprised when they learned that the soul they had freed and resurrected was actually Hellcat, just as Daimon and Mockingbird had both intended. Despite Hellstrom's role in her resurrection, the newly alive and sane Patsy was disgusted by Daimon and promptly divorced him, resolving to start life anew yet again. As a means of coping with her recent experiences and generating a new source of income, Patsy wrote another autobiographical book, Gidget Goes to Hell. She also began to act as Hellcat again, discovering that her resurrection had given her supernatural powers, enhancing her natural senses and physical abilities and giving her heightened perceptions of and resistance to mystical energies. With her new powers, Patsy helped expose her ex-husband Daimon, the supposed son of Satan, as a demon of otherdimensional parentage--the son of Satannish and grandson of Dormammu, planted within Earth's supernatural population as a sleeper agent to help Dormammu conquer the Earthly realms, beginning with the underworld realms or hells. Thanks to Hellcat's intervention, Hellstrom's conspiracy to conquer the underworlds has been stalemated by Mephisto and the other surviving hell-lords, earning Patsy Mephisto's uncommon gratitude and freedom from further torment at his hands. Thrilled to be alive again, Patsy makes a living from her writing and the merchandising of her name and image while continuing to engage in superheroics as Hellcat. While she has renewed her association with the Avengers (who teamed with her to drive the Sons of the Serpent out of her hometown Centerville), Hellcat is primarily committed to the recently reorganized Defenders, and remains active with that group today.

Real Name: Rita
Other Aliases: Ricochet Rita, Agent First Appearance: Longshot #1
Previous Affiliations: Freedom Force, Wildways, Body Shoppe, and Brotherhood of Evil Mutants
Powers: Spiral was given mystic spell casting powers from Mojo. Spiral also has an enhanced strength, speed, and reflexes along with six arms that can come in handy in all sorts of situations. Her mystic conjuring helps her teleport, project concussive energies, paralyze others, turn invisible, remove superhuman abilities, and stun people in unconsciousness. Spiral also has handy swords/knives that accompany her in every battle.
History Ricochet Rita was a movie stuntwoman and a former rodeo cowgirl who loved animals. Rita had a pet parrot and a few other animals living under her roof. Soon, though, Rita met Longshot who she seemed to be in love with. Mojo soon got a hold of Rita and had her tied to prow of an interdimensional ship and the shock of seeing so much made her catatonic. Eventually Doctor Strange was able to bring Rita out of this catatonic state and once recovered she went back to helping Longshot and she fought Spiral, a six-armed nuisance of a woman. At that moment Longshot returned to Mojoworld and Rita jumped in the portal after him, because she truly loved him.
The vicious Mojo once again captured Rita sometime after. Mojo had his scientist, Arize, engineer Rita into Spiral (and the experiment drove Rita, Spiral, to insanity). Through some sort of time loop Spiral and Rita are able to exist at the same time. Spiral’s curse was that she was doomed to betray and fight her previous lover, Longshot. Rita is currently somewhere in Mojoworld, yet her whereabouts are unknown. As for Spiral her journey has just started…
Spiral soon became a member of Mystique’s Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. A bit later Spiral was introduced to the Freedom Force and was one of the founding members of it. Spiral was with Freedom Force during their trial-run mission. Spiral enjoyed being on the team for it helped her more in not only finding Longshot, but also in finding her way around the dimension she was living in.
She had no criminal records who problems with the government so she truly didn’t have to stay with Freedom Force, so she left to pursue other things. Another reason Spiral left Freedom Force is because she heard about Longshot and Dazzler reuniting somewhere in the Mojoverse, she was out on the prowl now. Spiral soon helped the X-Teams to find Mojo, so maybe for once her time paradox could be stopped. It seemed her goal was accomplished, though, when Mojo seemingly died.
After this Spiral soon helped with many things. Spiral helped in the transformation of Karma’s children, which helped Mariko and Wolverine save the universe. Spiral was soon subjected to the Crimson Dawn and later fought its dragons along side of Excalibur. Spiral hassled the X-Babies a lot, maybe because Ricochet Rita had helped them. Also Spiral soon went on a rampage in search of Arize, the man who created her.
Ricochet Rita first met Excalibur in an attempt to save the X-babies from cancellation. While rushing them to safety she was separated from them and transformed by Mojo into The Agent who was sent to retrieve them. Though Shadowcat kept them safe in the end the X-babies returned to Mojo in exchange for him freeing Rita from her contract. At the last moment Rita jumped into the portal joining the X-babies, determined to see that they remained safe.
When Shatterstar was trying to discover his past, Spiral had joined Mojo’s side to defeat X-Force. After a battle with Mojo, in which Shatterstar killed the villain, Spiral saved the boy’s life when she transported his soul into the body of the almost dead Benjamin Russell. . In that act of heroism, Spiral revealed to have some very deep feelings for Shatterstar, maybe almost maternal feelings.
The Exiles recently traveled into Mojoverse, where Mojo still resided with Spiral at his side. She shot Morph with some sort of device, which creates a bubble around its prey. This new toy of Spiral's is not known to be an all-time thing or if it's just a one-time use. Even though Spiral plays a very small role it still proves that she’s alive and kicking. Look out for more Spiral, hopefully soon.

Subject: Dr. Donald Blake Real Name: Thor Alias: Odinson, The God of Thunder, The Might of Asgard Weilder of Mojlnir....etc
First Appearance: Journey into Mystery #83
Team Affiliations: The Avengers, The Asgardians
History: Thor is at least 2,000 years old. He is the son of the Skyfather of the Asgardians, Odin, and an Elder Goddess, Gaea, though she is known to Odin and Thor as Jord. Because he is a union of Asgard and Earth, he has powers far beyond the natural abilities of other Asgardians.
When Thor was eight, he was sent by his father to Nidavellir, the land of the dwarves, so that he could have a special weapon forged. This weapon was Mjolnir, which would one day become Thor's, but only after he had performed a number of good deeds. It was during the next ten years that Thor would strive to become worthy of the hammer, often foiling the plots of his foster-brother, Loki. Thor considers this one of the happiest periods of his life.
When Thor was eighteen, Thor finally earned the right to wield Mjolnir, when the young goddess Sif was captured by Storm Giants. Thor grabbed Mjolni and rushed to the Storm Giants' fortress. There he learned that the Storm Giant King had given Sif to Hela, in return for immortality. Thor rushed to rescue Sif, and volunteered to give up his own life for Sif's. Hela was so impressed by his selflessness, that she chose to release Thor and Sif.
Thor quickly rose in rank in Odin's army, and came to lead thousands of warriors. His prowess in battle led him to become overconfident and arrogant.
During the age of Vikings, Thor was placed in mortal form by Odin, where he Thor was known as Siegmund, and later Siegfreid. The legends of these heroes from Norse mythology were in fact based on Thor's exploits.
Thor actively sought the worship of the Vikings, until he learned of the atrocities some of his more fanatical followers committed in his name. It was then that Thor allowed the worship of his race to die out.
In recent times, Odin learned that if Thor was not kept safe from harm for several years he would die. This would cause Ragnarok, the end of the world, to have a worse outcome than had been foretold, and no new race of gods would rise from the ashes.
Odin chose to place Thor in the mortal form of Dr. Donald Blake, so that he would be safe, and he would also learn some measure of humility. This strategem was successful, but has caused Thor to become very attached to Earth, because of the love he developed for Jane Foster during this time. Odin disapproved of this, and erased Foster's memories. Thor eventually dropped the Blake identity.
Next Thor took on the identity of Sigurd Jarlson, but this identity was short lived.
Thor was later merged with the mortal Eric Masterson, to save Masterson's life. When Thor was banished for killing Loki, Masterson took over the heroic identity of Thor.
After a short time in banishment, and living merely as Thor, with no mortal identity, Thor was merged with the dead mortal Jake Olson, by Marnot, the third raven of Odin, given human form.
