I do and I love it. You can read a book first to see if you will like it or not before running the risk of spending lots of money on something you won't enjoy.

I don't go to the public library much, since our school library is so well stocked. I go to a private school that dedicates a lot of money to our library program, so our library has a lot of the more current books. Plus, it saves me a bunch of money.

My budget simply does not comply with my reading needs. If I didn't go the library, I'd be spending at the minimum $200 a month on books. I practically live at the library!!

I never go to the library, it is like my mortal enemy. It's not that I hate books it's that I hate fines. I can never seem to get my books back on time so I always manage to get some sort of fine. I always forget the books aren't mine or I loose them so I don't go to the library anymore. I just borrow books from freinds because then I won't have to return them in 2 weeks or whatever I keep them until she gets mad and asks for them back or I just finish it and remember the book isn't mine.

At the library in my new town, they don't even use due date cards inside the books anymore. They just print out a receipt with the date on it. This isn't very good for me, since I'll go to the library once a week, and have a few different piles of library books. Now I have to remember which books I checked out at which times. sad

Actually, at the moment, I have Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyers checked out. The local library was just begun and they don't have much space, so they purge their books often, keeping a not to large selection available.

However, I can check my account on the library's website too. I also made it so that reminders on due books come to my e-mail a few days ahead of time. I don't have a budget to accomodate my book needs either. The entire staff of the public library is familiar with me so they know I usually come to check out several books at a time. xd

I'm a Student Librarian at our school library, so it's my happy place. ^_^ I know where everything is, and I never have to wait long to check out books since I can just go behind the counter and do it myself. That's probably why I don't like going to the public library....I don't know where ANYTHING is!

It's funny, when I go to the library I always find myself wanting to get books out that are in the reference section, thats so annoying, because of course you can't borrow from them sad

I usually don't read a book before buying it. I hardly spend over $10 for a book anyways, because 99.7% of my current books are from thrift stores, garage sales, and my Sister's leftover required reading from college. Even if I don't like a book I bought, It's still another read and another space on the bookshelf. I can always trade it with friends for a different book. heart
I don't get books from Libraries anymore. I always get too many books, so many that it's impossible to finish them before the due date. I always lose them and they're overdue for weeks and we owe a couple hundred dollars. whee Since then I figured It'd be much cheaper to buy books than get them from a Library. heart
