That's terrible... At least people are doing something about it.

I feel so bad for them... -cries.-

Now I'm tempted to get my group of friends together and make 1000 cranes, and personally give them to them at the concert next month...

But, if we can't do that, we were already planning to make signs to hold up at the concert. We'll definitely be writing words of encouragement [in Japanese, even] on them.

Vampi-onee-chan, we need to make our posters asap.

I must fold 1000 paper cranes! I must! Diru must not break up, they must not! For people like me who have just recently become fans they must continue!

They may have lost a lot of fans, but they're gaining more too. Especially, now that they have made their way to America. So, it would be terrible for them to break up before they complete their world domination.

I remember hearing about this a while back, and it really pissed me off. stressed But I agree with merciless... even though they may have lost a lot of their japanese fans, they are gaining a ton of attention from people all over the world. Hopefully they won't break up just because their japanese fan-base *not necessarily all, but most* were so shallow :/ I'm not gonna be able to see them while they tour with korn, but *fingers crossed* whenever they play again in the u.s., just themselves, I'm definitely going to be there. 3nodding Long live diru!

crying DUDE!! thats it im making 1000 cranes lol, and im having my friends do it too!!! crying

this is going to be sort of off the subject but anyways:
its like when metallica cut off their hair, there "true" fans stopped liking them, and started breaking there cds and t-shirts of them that they owned, just because they said that they were sell-outs......so its kind of like that in a way but for Diru, and except they didn't cut off there hair....so i guess maybe its not close to it lol...but you get the point.... crying

Kiti, you're actually giving a perfect example. Metallica was known for their long "flowing locks" and crazy music. Kinda how Diru used to be known for their elaborate costumes. And once Diru decided to tone down their image...people thought they were sellouts. People are just stupid. The change of an image has nothing to do with the music! DX -wants to cuddle the boys and tell them that they will always be the best band in the world-

Can't. Fold. Paper. Worth. s**t.

>_> Poor Diru. While an image has to do with a fanbase, you're stupid to base a band only on clothing. A band's job is to make music, isn't it?! stressed

It's wrong of people to start hating them over an image change. I mean serious, how long have Dir en Grey been together? And so how long have they been doing the whole dramatic VK thing? A VERY long time that's for sure. So, if they think it's time for a change we should respect that. After all, they did keep up that appearence for quite a while. Besides, them changing their image like this just lets us see another aspect of one of the best bands ever.

It amazes me, how shallow people can be sometimes. It makes me wonder if just because the image changed some fans stopped listening to the lyrics. What Kyo puts out is just as powerful as before, I see absolutely no reason to say thosae things to him or any other bandmember. confused -Going to try and make cranes-

Exactly. You don't have to wear leather and eyeliner to sing / play an instrument well! (Although it can't hurt! biggrin heart )
