"Treeeeet treet!" The boy chimed happily to himself as he toddled along after his parental unit. He'd earlier been promised that if he didn't wander off and behaved well while they where doing the errands they could go to the candy store. Even better was the fact he'd been given the promise of getting whatever he wanted, and nothing could get a child to behave better than the idea of getting anything they wanted. Thus the boy had obediantly followed along as Raja purshed the various needs for the house. By now the man's usual tote bag was filled to the brim. A wand, which he still sometimes called a stick by habit, some new clothes for the children, and random needs they'd picked up. Nothing Evani had taken much note to. He'd been more interested in playing with the wand at one point, and that glittering stone his father had come up with as of recent. The thing was tied around the feline's wrist as usual, swinging with every step he took. The two items would have made fun toys if Raja would actually let him play with them, sadly he didn't.
Well not for long anyway.
Evani had managed to snag the wand for a bit and toys with it until the thing was taken back and the lecture of that it was too fragile to play with came. Evani didn't see what the problem was however, it wasn't as if he'd broken it. Still he was getting his treat, so it didn't matter much.
A faint jingle of bells sounded as the older man pushed open the door and both were met with the fresh smell of chocolate and sugar. The place wasn't only a candy store, but it doubled as a bakery for sweets. Brownies, cinnamon rolls, and individual cakes greeted you along with a variety of candies. Everything from jars of old fashioned ones to new little packages. Such a snickers, or even pixie stix. It was a sugar freaks paradise, and Raja had the odd notion of giving a child free reign in here. Oh well, it's not as if Evani could cause too much trouble, right?
"Sugee!" Came the delighted squeal followed by the furry boy darting in toward the good smells. The first thing that came to mind was ripping open the first package he could and downing it. What he happened to reach first was a pixie stick, and it went down fast. Hopefully he wasn't too sugar intolerant. Then again, Alpha hadn't really said much about the boy when she'd given him to Raja.
"Not too much now... You shouldn't spoil your dinner..." Not that any child would take heed to what a parent said in a candy store. Still, he could try.

For someone who longed to fly but couldn't riding on her fathers shoulder was a pretty good substitute for Brianna. She didn't like that she had to be still but she could see a lot more stuff from her vantage point. It hadn't even remotely occured to her that it was also an effective way of keeping her from running off. Not that she wanted to when she could be up here and see for miles and pretend to be taller.
"One more shop you said, the best shop?" She inquired. Her father had told her she was getting a special party nd they had been shopping all day for stuff.
"Yes Bee just the candy shop left and it is indeed the best shop" Dre replied. Looking up momentarily to smile at his new daughter. He'd insisted that she needed a welcome to the family party, something to make her feel wanted and loved. He wanted any child he and Trinket ever adopted to be brought home and know from the beggining that blood or not they were truely family. Due to the amount of children that would be attending candies and desserts were in order and he knew just the place.
As they entered they entered the shop they both took in a deep breath bore matching grins , the aromas that this place exuded couldn't be beat. " Now I want you to pick out something just for you and something you can play play a game with so lots of something little" He said kneeling so she could slide off his back. He was barely halfway down before he felt her weightt leave and in a blur she was gone
Running through the store Brianna took little notice to others, there was so much to see here and so many colours, shapes and smells it was too much all at once. Closing her eyes to block out the neverending assault of new things Brianna stood still for a moment ignoring the the fact that she was likely in the way of other and that her wings were dangerously close to knocking things over.

Dangerously close to knocking over? Not only did the warning label match Brianna, but the boy as well. It hadn't taken him long to down a pixie stick that Raja looked away to pay for and then the boy was off. Looking around at anything he could curiously. Jars, smells, sugars. Hiw tail was waving to and fro just s dangerously as the bird's wings as he knelt down to look at something that was the base of the stack .Brilliant bright colors. "Green, reed, yeellow." He pointed to the colors momentarily as he gazed the the colorful beans then moved on. Oh how he loved candy, like any good child would.
Raja however wasn't as pleased to find the boy had dissapeared among the tasty treats while he was paying for the snack that had already been downed. Of course he didn't say anything, he'd already taken a bite of the strawberry coloured minicake he'd purchased for himself before turning around. Both ears drooped characteristically as he took to looking around the shop hunting for the rather unique tail and ears that might just be hovering near some jars. Thankfully the shop didn't have high aisles like most and indeed the boy was spotted, along with something else. A girl? A bird one. Well that was fine, accept for what came next.
The boy had toddled along a ways further before stopping to look at another pyramid of the jars with their unique contents. Coincidentally the pidgey child was on the opposite side, and as he looked he saw what looked to him like a new kind of candy. One shaped and colored like a face. This counted up as some variation of those chocolate bunnies which led to a gasp of delight. "Thees one! Thees one! I want feethee one!" And so the boy had just as quickly mistaken the girl for a new sugary delight as he'd downed the tube of sugar.

Dare was too consumed in picking out different types of candycorn and licorice to notice. Beside he hadn't heared a peep from Brianna which he hoped meant she was deeply in thought over whether to get foil wrapped mints, gumballs or everlasting gobstoppers.
Brianna unable to focus due to the nearby yelling opened her eyes and stared at the boy on the other side of the jars. He reminded her of the gingerbread things she'd seen in a the bakery part of the shop. Except that she could sort of make out a tail so maybe not quite like them.
Smiling she walked around the jars keeping her focus on one thing or another so as not to be overwhelmed again. She wanted to meet this interesting looking stranger

Raja let out a minor sigh as he rubbed his head. "You can't have what's not a candy..." He mumbled quietly after he'd finished his bite. Of course the boy didn't hear it. He might not have even heard it if it was shouted. So the entire point of him talking would have been lost anyhow.
Evani blinked as the tihng int the jar moved, then it was going away. No! That was his treat, someone was taking it! He watched it momentarily before starting to scamper after the thing unwilling to give into the fact that maybe it wasn't in fact a sguary delight. Oh, but of course not, only candies would be in a candy store.
So along he went until he reached the end of the line and popped around to the other side. "Ya can take thee-" He blinked at what he'd thught was the candy curiously, tail giving a slight flick. "You're nuh a candee..." Well that was rather obvious.

A candy, her? Who would anyone think that? Brianna stared at the strange boy wondering why he might have thought she was a candy. " No I'm not a candy I don't even look like one but you" she said pointing a finger at his chest "Look like tasty gingerbread person." At that moment the sweet scent of gingerbread wafted into her nose again
Dare who'd wonderd close to her on his way to the part of the store with peeps caught the tail end of that conversation " You know there's gingerbread men who can walk and talk" he said before scurrying off to avoid any interrogation.
Brianna turned blue eyes drilling into the boy " Are you a gingerbread Brianna was concerned if her father said gingerbread men could be real than there was no reason that this boy who looked like one wasn't of that alive type.

"Cause you was een a jar." He replied both ears drooping as he realized he wouldn't be getting that interesting candy. "Leeke choco bunnee." He added frowning slightly. Now what was he going to get for a treat..? However the girl brought up something about gingerbread and that merely caused him to tilt his head. "Geengee breead?" He asked curiously, not familiar with the term.
However the older male piping in as he walked by prompted the next odd question. He quickly shook his head in reply. "Ees nah geengee breead. Ees Eevanee. Eevanee ees eevee. Daddy says ees eevee, no say geengee." He replied quickly, tugging slightly at the tuft of fur around his neck. "So ees not geengee mee theenk. Was geengee anyway?"

Brianna pouted the boy would have made a nice really big treat. sSe wondered if he would lie about being a gingerbread person so she wouldn't eat him. After a moments thought she decided he must be telling the truth if his daddy said he wasn't one.
" Gingerbread is really yummy cookie thing even when stale and it smells really good and taste well really good." The words tangy or spicey had no meaning to Brianna yet, all she knew was that the bit of semi stale gingerbread she'd had on her first night home had been delicous and that the fresh stuff in the store made her want more.
She watched him play with his chest puzzled, somehow she'd yet to see anything furred at least there. She didn't have any fur just feathers on her wings and tail. She liked her feathers and her wings that didn't let her fly but they were still neat and if she beat them right she never got to hot in the sun.

Evani had thought she'd be an equally nice snack, treat thing. But she wasn't sugar coated, so she would't taste good. He'd have to find something else... Then again... Her suggestion didn't sound too bad. "Geengee taste good..." He breathed the words quietly, obviously in thought. "I ask daddee for geengee maybee? Daddee say I cn have treet I want." He added nodding faintly. "An I like cookee so I theenk I like geengee." He was becoming more sure of this new choice as he spoke. In his mind he was imaginging some brother hued round cookie with frosting, and god knows what all. Some super cookie really. "But no want eet to bee stale..." He added. Stale didn't sound like a good word for it to be. Stale couldn't be that good.
He finally gave up running his fingers through the mat of fluff before nodding. "I ask daddee geet mee geengee. Theen wee see eef ees good." He called proudly starting along down the path toward where the orange eared male culd be seen enjoying the last of the small cake while waiting. He paused after a few steps looking at the girl. "Ees you comeeng weeth?" He asked quickly before starting up on his path again. "Geet cookee cause cookee ees good!"

Brianna nodded " Yes I'll get cookies too." While it seemed that her father loved all forms of sugar Brianna so far found the good old cookie to be the best. She'd get herself a nice gingerbread cookie and a box of some smaller types of cookies for the games.Tucking her wings to her back Brianna followed the Eevee boy.

It didn't take long for the enegertic little kid to make his way to the feline, of course he did stumble once on his way from being over eager. However when he arrived he quickly tugged at the man's pantleg. "Shee say geengeebreead ees good. Want geengee breead treet." He quickly announced.
The feline had been slight distracted byt he girl following along with, so there where more. Well of course he'd thought that, he just hadn't really realized from the quick glance he'd gotten of her earlier. "Ah, did she now. Well if that's what you want for your treat." He reply after looking back down at the chocolatey hued boy. Receiving a few eager up and down head bobs the man turned his attention to the girl. "Thank you for helping Evani decide on a snack." He added, more thanking her for keeping him from trying to eat more things around the store. "Now then, Evani tell the man what you want."
The boy practically burst as he tried to scramble up enough to look over the counter, so instead the man had to lean over. "Geengee! I wanna try thee geengeebreead~!" He exclaimed happily, and soon received the requested treat, which of course would be paid for by Raja. Once he had the sweet smelling delight he took his time sniffing it a bit. "Eet smeells reeallee good. Ees you geetteeng geengee cookee too?" He asked quickly. Not that it really looked like a cookie.

Again Brianna nodded," Yes get one too' she said waiting for her daddy to appear so she could order. In the meantime she spotted a bunch of tiny cookie with different coloured peices in them. Rainbow chip they were called. That was what she would get for the game, rainbow chip cookies.
Remembering that she'd been spoken too she smiled at Raja "your welcome it was fun becuase he sort of looks like them but he's not even though he could be."She babbled happily.
Dare walked up behind his daughter shaking his head, perhaps he shouldn't have told her gingerbread men could walk and talk. Although on gaia such a thing could theoretically happen." You decided on cookies for the party and your treat?" he asked aware that with another child in the vicinity she might just be making conversation.
"Yes I'm getting raindbow chip for the party and gingerbread for me like Evani who isn't a cookie but an eevee" she replied voice still a bit mournful.
Dare relayed the order to the man behing the counter before letting his eyes stray to the apparent eevee child not too far away. He wondered if it came from the same place Brianna had.

At least he hadn't bothered the girl. He did seem rather hyper today, so it had been a slight fear. Though issue adressed it was back to business. Paying for the thing. He quickly dug out his wallet to pay the price given and forked over a few bills. Waiting briefly as some change was handed back.
Evani hadn't waited more than a moment after finishing his question. He'd stuffed one of the arms of the cookie into his mouth and tugged it off, chewing happily. A little tangy with stuff he didn't really know, but sweet and tasty. A success of a cookie. "Ees guh cuhkee!" He managed to sputter inbetween chewing. Then swallowed the chunk and glanced up at the order made by the man. She was getting a lot of treats, something about a party. "Manee cookees?" He sneaked a glance up at Raja as if expecting something, the gingerbread man still in his hands. Why didn't HE get a bunch of cookies or a party?
The man knew just what the look was for too. After raising one child you quickly learned the 'looks' you got. And a quick head shake was given to try to tell him no. Because there would not be a sugar outburst at the house tonight because of cookies. No way, no how. "One is enough, Evani." A parent had to put down there foot sometime.
