Tiacapan padded softly through the dark of one of the central tunnels. This one was large and well-used, connecting directly to the main hub, and the dirt beneath her paws was packed down smooth with use. Green eyes adjusting to the dim light shed by the odd, cave-dwelling mosses of the main chamber, the reddish lioness shook a bit of dust from her coat and looked round. Not seeing anyone, she continued up to the large raised stone in the middle of the chamber and pulled herself onto the edge of it, allowing yellowish paws dangle off of the edge. She'd just come back from a long stretch of patroling, and while not tired, felt a bit sick of the aboveground.
Relieved to be back in the tunnels, she laid her head on her paws with a contented sigh.

The blue lion paused in his steps as he made his way through the tunnels, his forepaws extended before his body, back arching in a long rolling stretch before leaning against the earthen walls to scratch his shoulder. Everything about this lion was calm and casual as he moved through the tunnels like flowing water, pale eyes picking up on even the dimest light though he found his way more by scent and memory than by sight. Even in this darkness, his brillian white mane seemed to luminess, perhaps serving as a small light source in this dark, dank place.

Ears flicking slighly, Tiaca lifted her head and looked round the cavern. Seeing nothing, she flopped onto her back lazily, tail flicking. Waving a forepaw at the domed dirt ceiling, the lioness stretched. She was a bit hungry. Not a very good hunter, the lioness tended to wait till she was back underground to eat... catching the alarming blind fish in the river, or sharing others' kill.
She closed her eyes.

White tipped paws moved silently through the chamber, his tail flicking casually behind him leaving a yellow glow in his wake, steps carrying him toward the central chamber where the lioness rested.
His white mane glowed, his form emerging from the darkness like a silent ghost, pale eyes settling on the form that rested on the stone. He had guessed someone was in the chamber, he'd probably have known who had he bothered to actually take in her scent. But he was a casual lion, steady and calm as the flowing water and thus he hadn't really thought about it.
Though he smelled the lioness and acknowledged her with a slight nod of his head, the lion's nose was more focused on something else...water.

Tiacapan opened one eye and observed the other lion padding into the chamber, a slight smile curling onto her muzzle. She stretched and slipped sideways off of the stone, landing softly on her paws.
"Ali," she said in a friendly sort of tone, dipping her head in response to his nod. She hadn't seen fellow pridemembers in a while. It was a regretable consequence of wandering while on patrol.
"How've you been?" she asked, sloping towards him with a warm smile.

Ali'ikai moved further into the chamber, his nose twitching, searching for the source of a scent. Locating it, he walked toward one of the the nearby walls, grinning faintly as he found the small pool of water that had collected on the floor, moisture that had seaped from deeper underground, carried over the rocks from the waters above.
"Yo Tiaca," He lowered his head to the small pool, lapping up the refreshing liquid. "What's up?"

Tiaca smirked slightly, watching Ali's progress to the small pool. Though he hadn't directly answered her question, his offhanded attitude told her only too well that though it had been a while since they last met, he was the same lion.
She padded a bit closer and rolled her shoulders tiredly before sitting down, waiting for him to finish drinking. "I've been well," she answered, tail flicking. "Just returned from a rather long stretch of patroling.." the lioness tilted her head back and smiled at the ceiling of the cavern. "I've missed the tunnels."

The mistweaver born lion kept his nose to the water for a moment, inhaling the scent that was so closely tied to his birth and his cubhood, a memory of the salt of the sea flitting through his mind.
Having his fill, Ali stood, a broad yawn parting his maw, his forelegs extending in a stretch, talons scrapping across the earthn floor. As relaxed and carefree as ever, he turned to face the lioness, his shoulder now propped against the cavern wall.
"Yeah? I've been up there myself, then sun's a drag, but the stars are pretty sweet."

{Lmao xD Tiaca is so politely baffled by the way Ali speaks. *snerk*}
The lioness nodded, returning her gaze to her fellow pride member and looking thoughtful.
"I don't mind the night, and the breeze is rather nice.." She trailed off, wrinkling her nose a bit. "But it just doesn't feel...safe. To me, anyway." She smiled and shifted position slightly. "I was thinking of going to one of the deeper chambers and trying to catche a few fish," Tiaca informed him, extending her blunt claws in a stretch. "Would you care to come with me?"

The lion shrugged at her words, casually scratching his shoulder with one taloned paw.
"That's cool I guess."
His ears perked, tail flicking at thought of visiting the deeper waters of the underground cavers and the fish that dwelled within. Most lions didn't care for the water, but to Ali it was part of who he was, and fish sounded good to his stomach right now.
"Fish, huh? Awesome, count me in."

The dark reddish lioness grinned and flicked her tail across her paws as she stood, shaking a tuft of fur from her eyes. "Excellent, then!" she said in a somewhat unusually cheerful tone, beginning to stride towards one of the wider, deep-sloping tunnels that led to an underground rock pool.
This particular pool was her favorite, because it contained not only fish, but an odd variety of wiggly, blind shrimp-like creatures with far too many legs. Tiaca was both fascinated and appalled by them, and rather enjoyed batting them with her paw to watch them wriggle.
She glanced back over her shoulder at Ali. "This tunnel okay?"

The lion straighted, shaking the dirt from his hide, strands of white feathering around him before settling around his shoulders again. Turning from the wall, he followed the lioness, back into the tunnels that they both knew so well.
"It's cool with me."
A goofy grin worth of the greatest surfer bum crossed Ali's maw as they drew closer to the pool, the scent of water filling his nose again. Perhaps they'd find something more interesting that the usual fish today.

Winding her way down the somewhat steep tunnel, Tiaca grinned back at Ali. He was an odd one, but his amiable attitude was rather catching. As the tunnel widened, the lioness approached the rather rocky pool near the back of the small cavern they'd entered. She crouched by its edge, peering into the depths before looking back at the other lion with a smile.
"Think we can catch any of those... nasty wiggly critters?" She asked with a slight laugh. She wondered if he'd ever eaten any... she'd always been too scared to try, but she knew Taban had, and nothing terrible had become of him...

Ali'ikai approached the water, his paw steps sure, the underground passages easily navigated despite the darkness. He didn't answer for a moment, pale eyes staring into the water, barely reflected on it's surface, his nose taking in the scent.
Then as if to answer her question, a white tipped paw plunged into the water, dark talons extended like deadly hooks. A moment later the paw emerged again, grasping a pale wriggling crustacean.
"You mean these?"
His maw parted and he dropped the creature into his mouth, chewing a moment before swallowing it. He licked his lips and looked toward the water again.
"Sure, you want one?"

Tiacapan made a face as she watched Ali devour the wriggling, many-legged beast. She glanced back to the now-rippling pool and back to the other lion, looking only mildly disgusted.
"Erm," she answered, wincing as he crunched the crustacean down. "I've never had one... they look a bit.." pause. "Horrible?" she finished lamely, hoping Ali would contradict her.
"..Are they any good, though?" the reddish lioness inquired, peering curiously into the shallows of the pool.
