Aislinn sat, curled up in one of the huge recliners and staring out the window. She wasn't...sure how she felt. She had been amazed at the amount of pain that came with her first change. It was likely much tamer than most of the others' had been-- she'd seen what horrors some had even in their first-- but it still stunned her.
What stunned her more, though, was that even just this first change had made such a difference in her life. She wasn't talking about the hairy legs or funky feet. She wasn't even considering the way her ears had changed or her hair had started to go prematurely gray. It was...well, her injury. It had disappeared almost entirely. She had walked here to the rec room without her cane for the first time in several years.
It was like magic.
Wrapped up in the scarf that Rain had made for her, she adjusted all of her clothing to make sure it hid her legs properly, and let her hair fall into her eyes to cover the ears. There. Now no-one would be able to see her deformities and she seemed almost like a normal human being again. Not a cripple to be pitied.

Kate yawned, eyes sleepy from staying up too late every night. But maybe walking around will do her good. Taking another yawn, she rounded a corner and halted. There was someone up ahead, and she was feeling rather lonely.
Walking up to the female, she smiled, "Uh... Hi?" She tried not to stare at her, but she was still not used to the 'changes' on people. She knew that she might start changing one day as well...
"May I join you?"
