I really need help learning Gealic... Imay not live in Ireland but I would like to know the language of part of my family...plz help me...

I recommend getting a book and audio set.

Learning over the internet will teach you the spelling, but pronounciation is something best picked up aurally.

Also, depending on where you are, there might be classes offered. I'm lucky in that we have a set of International Houses in San Diego, and the House of Ireland offers free Gaelic classes.

wow... my friend s from mexico and can speak perfect english but sh eis in spanish for spanish speakers and she wanted german class...

Gaelic is very difficult to pick up online. I really have to hear it to learn it. I need to see if my library has any tapes on it. It's a beautiful language. I need someone to speak it with to make me learn it.

ick, the phoenetics on that aren't too good...
->'raibh' should be pronounced 'rev'
->irish people say 'conas a-tá tú' [the 'a' is just to make it sound better]
->'romhat' [i dont think that's even spelled right] simply has a 't' sound at the end, not 'th'
->'ainm' is pronounced 'a-nim'

can you not get irish phrase books?

wait, you can still learn gaelic? i wasnt aware that it was a spoken language anymore.....or wait....idk...
