The number of drivers switching cars is mind-numbing, so here's my little attempt to make things more clear. The Drivers by team, by car number.
Michael Waltrip Racing #00 David Reutimann - WIll be running car as teh the team's third car in 07. Burger King and Domino's Pizza will split the sponsorship. #44 Dale Jarrett - He's Leaving the #88 Yates car to drive for Michael Waltrip Racing. He is taking UPS with him. #55 Micheal Waltrip - He's leaving BDR at the end of the year to form his own team. He will take NAPA and the #55 with him.
MB2 Motorsports #01 - Joe Nemechek - Will be leaving this car and driving the third car for MB2. Mark Martin/Regan Smith will take over this ride in 07. #13 - MB2 will run a third car with Joe Nemechek next year. #14 Sterling Marlin - A rumor has put him out of this car in 2007.
DEI #1 Martin Truex Jr. - None #8 Dale Earnhardt Jr. - None #15 Paul Menard - Not running full time in the Cup series this year, but will drive this car full time in 07. #? DEI could add a fourth car, there are few details other than they are looking into it.
Penske Racing South #2 Kurt Busch - None #12 Ryan Newman - None
Richard Childress Racing #3 - It's still not coming back next year, or anytime in the foreseeable future. #07 Clint Bowyer - None #29 Kevin Harvick - There were rumors of him leaving to race for Toyota, but these are untrue. #31 Jeff Burton - None
Morgan-McClure Motorsports #4 Scott Wimmer - Is out of this car. Todd Bodine and Ward Burton have been in it since then, though no full time driver has been named. #?? - A second car has been discussed.
Hendrick Motorsports #5 Kyle Busch - None #24 Jeff Gordon - None #25 Brian Vickers - He's leaving the #25 Hendrick car to drive the #83 Toyota for Red Bull Racing. Casey Mears will be the replacement. #48 Jimmie Johnson - None
Roush Racing #6 Mark Martin - He's going to retire at the end of the season, Todd Kluever was going into this car, but poor performance on-track has ended this. David Reagan is the next hopeful, however his run at Martinsville and NASCAR not allowing him to run Atlanta could complicate things. Mark will be drivng the 01 MB2 chevy next year sharing the ride with Regan Smith. #16 Greg Biffle - None #17 Matt Kenseth - None #26 Jamie McMurray - None #99 Carl Edwards - None
Robby Gordon Motorsports - Is switching to Ford next year. #7 Robby Gordon - There is a rumor that he is going to buy, merge, or form an alliance with Yates. #? Another car has been rumored, but it's just rumors now.
Evernham Motorsports #9 Kasey Kahne - None, other than he's still dreamy xd #10 Scott Riggs - None #19 Jeremy Mayfield - His contract with Evernham has been terminated in what looks to be a nasty breakup. Elliott Sadler is the replacement.
Joe Gibbs Racing #11 Denny Hamlin - None #18 J.J. Yeley - None #20 Tony Stewart - None #? A fourth car has been rumored, with Ricky Rudd driving.
Wood Brothers #21 Ken Schrader - He may or may not be back, full or part time, in either this car or the #47, which may not run. #47 Jon Wood? Alot depends on what Ken Shrader does, but he might be racing next year, maybe in this car or the #21.
Bill Davis Racing- This whole team is changing over to Toyota in 2007. #22 Dave Blaney - Looks like he will be back next year. #23? The second ride still needs a sponsor and will likely be occupied by a current Toyota driver in the Truck Series. Bill Lester, Mike Skinner and Johnny Benson already drive Tundras for BDR. #55 Micheal Waltrip - He's leaving BDR at the end of the year to form his own team. #36 Jeremy Mayfield - Has been terminated from Evernham's #19. IS going here in 2007 in a car sponsored by 360 OTC, a pain reliever.
Robert Yates Racing - There are rumors that Robby Gordon Motorsports could be buying some or all of this team. Robby Gordon has denied this. Of course, Elliott Sadler denied he was leaving the #38 as well. ninja A name change is also possible to Doug Yates Racing. #38 Elliott Sadler - Has requested and been granted a release. His last race was at Watkins Glen, and is now out of this car for good. He is now in the #19 for Evernham. David Gilliland will be the replacement. M&M's will stay on as sponsor. #88 Dale Jarrett - He's Leaving the #88 Yates car to drive for Michael Waltrip Racing. He is taking UPS with him. Stephen Leicht or Matt McCall could replace him. #? Robert Yates could be running a third car next year.
Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates #40 Reed Sorenson - None #41 David Stremme - None #42 Casey Mears - He's leaving #42 car to drive the #25 car for Hendrick. Juan Montoya is going to replace him.
Petty Enterprises #43 Bobby Labonte - None #45 Kyle Petty - None
Haas CNC Racing #66 Jeff Green - None
Red Bull Racing #83 Brian Vickers - He's leaving the #25 Hendrick car to drive for Red Bull Racing. #84 AJ Allmendinger - He's leaving Champ car to drive this car in 07.
Hall of Fame Racing #96 Tony Raines - None
Misc. Bill Elliott - He's testing for MWR, but rumored to be headed for Red Bull. He also will be driving a few races this year for Evernham. Ward Burton - Yates, and Red Bull are rumored to be interested. Ricky Rudd - Red Bull and Joe Gibbs might be interested. Juan Montoya - He's leaving F1 to drive the #42 for Ganassi. Danica Patrick - There were rumors that she was going to Nascar in 07, but she has said 'NO!' Has just signed with AGR racing and is staying in the IRL...for now. Stephen Leicht - Rumored to be the new driver of the #88. Matt McCall - Also Rumored for the #88. Todd Kluever - Is going into the #6, though his recent performance has cast doubt into this. Paul Menard - Is moving up to Cup and will drive the #15 for DEI. David Gilliland - Is headed for the #38. Sarah Fisher - Has voiced her unhappiness in the West series, so a move back to the IRL is possible. She ran the IRL race at Kentucky, where she finished 12th, adding weight to this rumor. Jacques Villeneuve - has been reported to have signed with Roush Racing and Ford for the Busch Series in 2007. Thanks Ponza!
If you see anything wrong, or missing, let me know!

robby gordon has rumors of expanding his team...also ward burton may likely be going to robert yates racing also.....And it makes me wonder...if robby gordon were to start a second team who would the driver be? Paul menard and robby gordon seem to have connections with each other so i wouldn't be too suprised if paul menard would drive with him....

Thaks for the Info!
Paul Menard to DEI's Cup car is a done deal, so Robby will have to look elsewhare for a teammate, or else pull off a major sneaky move.

Any word on RYR's third car? I've heard Stephen Leicht is either driving the 88 or they're gonna get him a third car for RYR.

Matt Kenseth signed a contract extension already. He's locked in with The Cat in the Hat himself until 2010.
However, Matt's about to lose his main sponsor, DeWalt, unless they sign a contract extension to stay with the 17 car. Rumor is they'll sign the extension. (They have a ton of PR vehicles with 17s on them, I've seen them and gotten free goods from them. ninja )
