BRIT LOVES ARTSES. Brit also has many characters, and cannot draw people to save her life. Therefore, she frequently spends money on auctions and other things to get OTHER people to draw said characters. 2. What I Look For In A Commission
Things I love to see:
-Clean, elegant lines (this means good inking, definate edges, with blurryness minimized as much as possible, unless that's something you specialize in- don't let me cramp your style!)
-Pictures with EMOTION. Don't just make a picture, give it a pose, an expression! Happy, sad, angry, whatever.
-Attention to detail. It's okay if you can't handle all of my little requests, but if, say, I SPECIFICALLY ask for something and it doesn't show up, I'm going to be a little miffed even if it IS a gorgeous picture.
-Creativity! Even if you don't think it's along the lines I wanted, run with your ideas! I LOVE surprises, and commissions are a lot more fun if the artist gets to be a little spontaneous.
-See the very last post for more ideas to make me go EEEEEE~!!!
What I don't care as much about:
-Perfection. DOn't worry about it! It's OKAY if you can't get my requests perfect, or if I'm not very clear and you're not sure you've got it right. I LOVE ART. I'm not as picky as a lot of people.
-Going without a reference. I find new characters FREQUENTLY, so I don't always have reference pictures. If I don't...then YOU get to create the look of that character! I have a hard time visualizing people, so I'll throw a few details at you and let you HAVE FUN.
-Getting my commission IMMEDIATELY. I know good art takes time! I DO like progress reports nad sketch ideas, but I won't jump down your throat if it takes a month or two.

3. Britain Newark- GAIA VERSIONGaia-Brit is very much like Chara-Brit in personality and everything else- it's just her outfits that change! These are the 'me' portraits, the ones that are just fun to play with. These will probably be easiest on most artists, as well!
Name: Britain Newark
Hair: Shortish, red-orange (natural red)
Eyes: Sage green (se example!)
Height: SHORT. 5'1"
Brit's eyes are the most important thing about her! She is a tough police officer, determined to protect the innocent, but at heart she is very innocent, too. Her eyes usually look a little sad, even when she is being all tough and stuff. If she is wearing her sunglasses (which she usually is), I like to be able to see her eyes over them. Her tough nature hides her soft heart.

4. Britain Newark- CHARACTER VERSIONName: Britain Newark
Occupation: Police officer, liaison to the genetically altered humans known as 'hybrids'
Looks: Short, with natural red hair and sage green eyes. Very practical clothing most times, usually in jeans or soemthign she can move around in.
Likes: Guns! Weapons. Making cookies. Target practice. Listening to stories, seeing magic.
Loves: Family (the good kind), children, the reality that magic DOES exist.
Dislikes: Soggy, dreary rainy days; bad food, spoiled brats, hateful/closed-minded people.
Hates: Those who hurt others for their own amusement. Violence for the sake of petty revenge. People who ridicule and torment those who have been helplessly victimized.
Britain was a regular federal agent until she happened to lead the team that cracked open a human experimentation lab. The victims she found within became her friends, and in one special case, her husband- she devoted her life to protecting them. After her husband committed suicide, however, she took her son (see Aoshi Newark, below) and left it all behind- only to meet an elven theif one night by the name of Orasteele. Suddenly, there was real magic in Brit's world- the water kind, not the card trick kind. She fell in love with Steele, and now they live together with their family.

5. Orasteele ColdwaveBrit's Wife-person heart An elven master thief. Black hair with a faint blue tint and cold blue eyes is a base description of Steele. A foxtail is sometimes seen depending on the outfit she is wearing. Clothing is mostly black and tight fitted, though has been known to wear whatever is necessary for a good heist. Elaborate ladies dresses to peasant's scraps, even dancers garb she has worn. When she is at home she is seen in a pair of comfortable pants and a small tight fitted shirt. The mini nightmare wings are included in her wardrobe. Her lifemate is Britain, a cop whom she adores. On Gaia Steele has several children including a Legend, Zephirae Angel, a Natural Orouh, and a number of others, as well as a soon to be biological one! Orasteele is part water elemental in the sense that she can control it. If you think Orasteele you should think water. She often can be seen creating small balls of water and playing with her children with them.
Before she met Britain she traveled alone with her black Ice Cat, Nightcatcher. His intelligence is that of human level (when he wants to use it). Nightcatcher is black with clear blue eyes and about the size of a medium to large dog. He's mischievious to the end. He loves to disappear right when he is needed the most, and is ever loyal to Orasteele. He was raise from a cub by her and will defend her if needed. Nightcatcher enjoys taking the less valuable goods on heists for his own collection of things. Occupation: Federal Agent
Looks: Tall and thin like his father, pale skin, dark eyes, longish black hair that falls in heavy, romantic curls. Blackbird's wings. Very much a flirt and a pretty boy, but also very good at heart, with his mother's determination and strong will.
Likes: Lazy afternoons, clear skies, guns, good friends
Loves: True devotion, honesty, getting a job done right. Protecting people.
Dislikes: Sleeping in too late, cold showers, getting feathers out of line.
Hates: Idiots who think they know what they're doing, being told he doesn't know or doesn't have the experience to know something, reading anything that isn't military/science fiction or a gun manual.
Aoshi is cynical, sweet, and quick to make other people smile with his outrageous flirting and sexual behavior. He knows he's beautiful, and capitalizes on it. When he's at work, however, he's all business- this is serious stuff, and protecting the innocent is what he does best. After watching his father suicide and his mother collapse when he was seven, this blackbird has learned to depend on himself, and no one else. He us currently about 25. Because he is one quarter blackbird, he is resistant to magic; he can't use it himself, but he is immune to almost all illusions.Previous commissions/gifts:Fyre

7. Coritani NewarkBritain's brother, younger by three yearsName: Coritani Newark
Occupation: 'auto parts purchaser' for a large dealership- specializes in stealing cars and handing them over to the pirhanas for stripping.
Looks: Blond hair, gold eyes. Only slightly taller than his sister (5'5"-6" max). Strong, but lightly built- not very bulky. Graceful. Tends to be angry, cynical, scornful, or neutral at all times.
Likes: Cheese, swimming, apples fresh off the tree. Cool, fresh water.
Loves: Sunlight, fireplaces, s'mores. Being held. Cynical lovers with wicked eyes. Taking care of children.
Dislikes: Being woken up, disloyalty. Hot orange juice.
Hates: Unnatural things, his beliefs being questioned. Being told no. Family arguments.
When Britain began working with the hybrids, her entire family disowned her for working with something so 'unnatural'- including her favorite baby brother, Cori. This didn't last forever, though- Cori ended up in the area, needing a place to stay, and Brit dragged him home. He tends to be spiteful and angry with himself and everyone around him, dropping scathing comments and not really worrying about who he hurts. He is, however, very careful of what he says to the children, and there is a line he won't cross with Brit- he still loves her, and slowly they are working towards the close relationship they once had.
Cori is getting very attached to Synge, which, considering how rarely Synge gets involved in a serious relationship, probably isn't too healthy. He worries about the other man and has recently started focusing on him more than he thinks about himself. Synge is not aware of Cori's feelings, and Cori tends to hide them behind cynicism and biting comments about responsibility. Cori would do anything for Synge.Previous commissions/gifts:Spork Ninja

Name: Synge Sunfire
Occupation: Who knows.
Looks: Smoke Grey eyes, pale skin, strong but slender build. Has long red/gold hair, and a knowing smirk. Intricate tribal tattoo across his shoulders with a star surrounded by a circle somewhere in the center of the design.
Personality: Couldn't really give a damn about most issues, slightly tempramental when provoked, cynical and slightly cocky.
Likes: Cigarettes, BBQ, Sleep, the color Black, paper umbrellas.
Loves: Gold, Open Flame, Horses (shhh, it's a secret), Starlit nights.
Dislikes: Muggy weather, Swimming, cooking, children, Winter.
Hates: Ice, Cold, Rain, paperwork, the postal service.
EXTRA: Tamrien Sunfire
Synge has a baby girl named Tamrien (Tamri, Tam-tam). She has raven-black hair, and her bangs are the red-gold fire colors like Synge's. Her eyes are brilliant blue-green. She has no real information yet aside from a happy, easygoing character- if you are commissioned to draw her, have fun and do whatever you like n.n
Tamri is largely being raised by Coritani, because Synge is never home (and is also...erm..not a very responsible father).

Has overall black fur, tail, ears, and facial features of a cat, with large butterfly wings. His hair is short and blue, with matching blue fur patterns spiralling around his hands, eyes ,and tail tip. Big green eyes. Very sweet, quiet nature- a true gentleman. Usually seen with a top hat. Clothing as he gts older will lean more towards Victorian era. Preferred colors for clothing are greys and greyed-out blues. He is never seen without a cross pendant of some kind. Likes: Being warm and dry, sunny days, pretty music Loves: Reading, prayer, having his faith and devotion proved worthwhile Dislikes: People who question the existance of God, loud people Hates: Rainy days, those that harm others, 'demon' type creatures and people of a hateful nature. Cypris is one of Brit's older kids, even though he is still so young (aka, Brit's first journal pet on Gaia!). A reborn angel, his faith is very strong and has produced a few miracles in the past; he takes being an angel very seriously. Though he can be a little old fashioned and uptight sometimes, he does his absolute best to help anyone in need and care for those who need an open heart. He is very much a young gentleman. In his previous existance, Cypris was the Guardian Angel of a Victorion couple that he loved very deeply. One slow rainy day, he was unable to prevent the carriage accident that killed them both- as he is growing up, he is unable to avoid the flashes of memory that remind him of the accident. Because of this, he becomes very melancholy on rainy days. Cypris has a mechanical familiar (a Fandangle) named Ailes Argent. The faithful device is never seen far from his owner; Ailes is currently in the form of a large mechanical spider (about the size of a small horse). 12. PawnsOriginal characters and story (c) Brit. Do not steal!The current version of Pawns can be found HERE. I sugest reading it if you have been commissioned! "Pawns" is a short story (at the moment) about a pair of chess players with connections to the illegal side of business. They are both very businesslike, so they propose a deal- whoever loses the chess game must leave the city, giving the winner free reign to run his business there. The chessboard: an 8x8 city block grid, positions being on the intersections of streets. The peices: loyal employees/thugs/agents of each businessmen, with some desperate innocents thrown in to make things more interesting. When a peice is taken, that person is expected to die. Our main characters are peices in the game. Each is his own person, but ALL art of these people should be influenced by the peice they play, as the game becomes central to their lives once they become involved. A Note On Costuming: If you want to think up some intricate costume so that they suit their assigned peice, GO FOR IT. I'd love to see what you can come up with! Quote: Angelo Gretchen SolisBlack Queen's KnightOrganization: Caterra, Inc. Occupation: Caterra Agent/Thug Looks: Mixed parentage, Venezuelan and German. It started out as a desperation gambit, but after he managed to pay his boss back for keeping him alive, he found he liked the organization enough to stay and become one of their most trusted agents. Loves: Hates: Quote: David Chennner (Torch)Black Pawn 7Organization: Caterra, Inc. (coerced) Occupation: Student Looks: Dark brown, curly short hair. Quiet nature and gentle eyes. Tall and lanky- young enough that he hasn't grown into his height yet. Usually wears jeans and T-shirts, nothing fancy- he would have been a nerd, if he had constant access to a computer or video game system. Very uncomfortable with violence, but has the potential to take a stand if someone needs protecting. Motives: Getting out of debt to Caterra, finding a way to live his own life. Past: Torch had a good (if poor) life before his father was killed in a car accident. After Mr. Chenner's estate was evaluated, Torch found that his father was actually painfully in debt to Mr. Caterra. There didn't seem to be any options available to the boy- so when Caterra called with his offer to participate in the game and clear all debts, Torch decided it was his only option. Loves: Boys ^_~ Card games that require skill, not luck. Hates: Clingy women, heavy alcohol, and early mornings. EXTRA: Torch gets his nickname from a scene that hasn't been written yet. Angelo takes him to a bar to meet some friends; the barkeep (not very trustworthy) slides him a drink that is supposedly safe for a 16-year-old. With the curiosity of a kid, Torch absently strikes a match and touches it to the drink...which promptly goes FWOOOOSH and lights on fire, taking away his eyebrows for a while. The drink was almost pure Everclear. From this point on, he lights all of his drinks on fire xd Quote: Fillipe SantiagoBlack KingOrganization: Caterra, Inc. (inherited) Occupation: Student, mathematical genius Looks: Black hair, short and straight, usually falling over his eyes (but not in a sexy way, like Angelo's). Pale skin and hugely dark eyes. The King is usually seen wearing a school uniform of white shirt and black slacks, with tie- very well kept, except for his hair. Occasionally wears glasses. Almost ALWAYS seen in the company of the Black King's Bishop.Motives: Past: Loves: Nice people- REALLY nice people. Cake. Good books. Hates: (Yes, as a matter of fact, this WAS largely influenced by the Human Chess Game. I bow to their genius.)

If you happen to be like...HMM I'm bored, I wanna draw something for Brit (and Jesus...let me hug you in ADVANCE), here's some things to wrack your brain with:
Things Brit likes, in no particular order:
* Pretty men (girly. Very girly)
* Butterflies
* Spiders in conjunction with butterflies
* Angel wings
* ...hell, any kind of wings xd
* Long hair
* RANDOM pretty bishies! I don't have to have a story behind them- trust me, it is NOT hard for me to make one up!
