Naughty or Nice...?
The admins and higher level mods need to be kicked in the arse and told to get a grip! The Admins are too trigger happy with their Perma-bans!! There has been a mass attack on Gold Botters on Gaia and as a result anybody who has botted gold is being perma-banned. No problem you say? I say there is! Look at this example:
Person 1 owns a mini-shop selling art
Person 2 is a gold botter wanting art
Person 1 sells art for 5k
Person 2 sends a trade for 5k of botted gold to Person 1
Person 1 accepts trade, not knowing that it is botted gold plus having no way to know
Person 2 get caught for botting and perma-banned
Person 1 gets perma-banned because they have profitted from the botting
See the problem now? There are countless innocent Gaians being banned!! There is one, called Plexi_Lexi who helps questers by selling expensive items for 1k and other charatable actions. Some of her items were payed for with botted gold and she has lost her account! There was no reason to perma-ban her or any other person in similar situations! THEY have done nothing wrong. It isn't THEIR fault they recieved botted gold!
There are plenty of other examples. A person had their account hacked and their account was used to transfer stolen items from another hacked account to the hacker's account. The person who's account was used to transfer the items got her account banned, even though they did nothing wrong!
Another example is my own plight. As some of you know I had my old account banned. What happened was someone donated to Gaia for me. it was an unknown person. I recieved the letters and sold them towards my quest. A few months later it turns up that the letters were donated for fraudulently! My account gets banned! Even though I didn't do anything, i'm not guilty but I still get punished. I freely offered the profits to be taken out of the account but they wouldn't do it, the perma-ban stayed.
There are plenty of examples like this out in Gaia. The Admins are using the perma-ban feature too much. There need to be guidlines put in place to protect innocent people from loosing their accounts, items and, more importantly, the history related tot hat account. The admins are out of control, we as the community of Gaia need to do something to keep our leaders in check! I know this is a global community but I do believe most users come from democratic countries, countries that have a right to control their leaders powers. We need to instill this idea into Gaia and bring the creators/leaders/law makers of this site in check. Please, post your thoughts/support/objections/corrections.
