At some point, hopefully in the near future, we will be spreading to other forums. Currently, the next forums in line will be the AMC and Music forums. I'm calling these the splinter guilds, because I'll always consider this guild the original guild. I'm just a guy with a dream. I want the Paladins to spread to every forum on Gaia that needs them. For now, I want to say this. If any of you post in the AMC or Music forums, I'd like to know if you know any good candidates for the guilds. In addition, if you feel that you spend more time in either of the other forums than you do in the VGD, but would still like to remain with the Paladins, let me know. I can give you a "transfer," so to speak, to the other guild. If I think of any more information, I'll post here.

I know a hell of a lot more about anime and manga than I do videogames, but the main forum of the AMC always turned me off... too much like the chatterbox. *shudders*

The AMC has the Anti-guild (which I am a member of). It's not so organized as we are, but they do pretty much the same stuff.

There's sorta already a sorta underground vigilanty commity type thing in the music forum. at least there was last time I visited. They basicly do the same stuff we'd do, but in a less profesional manner.
As for the AMC forum...I never visited it.

Gah, is that the whole Pedantic b*****d and all his little cronies? stare Those guys are complete stuck-up assholes. They're the reason I don't go into the music forum anymore.

I'd volunteer, but with one or two visits to the Anime forum, I've been at the VGD my entire Gaian life.

There are a few people who have the right idea. As for the stuck up assoles, you're right in many respects, but it's like chooosing the lesser of two evils. My point with that staement is that if we moved into the music forum, we migh not be so warmly accepted. By the problem there, or the 'solution'. I've noticed a lot more hostility in that forum than others. Not only are the people making the repeat threads stupid, the've got some pretty foul language and single-mindedness. We are needed there, but I don't think the current 'caretakers' will all go down wihout a fight. True, there are some that will join, those will be the open minded people that have he right idea in their ways of educating the ignorant. Most of them though, will tell us to ******** off, possibly in a more professional way. However, conflict between the two parties only hurts the forum both are seeking to mediate, and nobody wants that. It's like trying to end a war with diplomacy and winding up joinng in.

I think we should at least try with the Music forum. It really needs help. I used to go there all the time, and I stopped going because I couldn't stand the people there. Everyone there acts like a jerk and is stuck up. It is the most unfriendly place on this site. It needs fixing...

Everyone there acts like a jerk and is stuck up. It is the most unfriendly place on this site. It needs fixing... There's no doubt it needs help. With the VGD, there's changes in the system that could make mthings a little more easy. People making the repeat threads their, at least some of them, since anything and everything is possible, read the stickys, but don't look for threads that might already be there, since there are technacly no 'official' threads, the definition of 'official' as having a link in a sticky. That might solve a small amount of problems with the VGD. The music forum is in chaos, or close to it, from what I've read in the stickys. there it's not the system that's disfuunctional, it's the people. Kinda like communism. Not to be confused with Aneurysm.

I really think the music forum is beyond help.
I mean, unless we close it off and only re-admit users after passing an IQ test.
We should really do that with all of Gaia, though...
I mean, I tried doing what we do in the Music forum once or twice, and just got flamed along with the thread starter. People are such jackasses in there.

Ok a question and a few ideas. Question: Are these splinter guilds going to be actual seperate guilds or just a specific group within this guild using a thread to discuss what needs to be done? Sorta like our prewanted list thread is what Im thinking.
And my ideas: Rather than announcing that we will start trying to clean up the forums and hope people join in on it, we should keep an eye out for intelegent people and recruit them first before having people come to join. This way when the flames for trying to help come there will be people already around to give back up when needed. I'd say after seeing maybe 10 to 20 worth while people in each forum, PM them with the idea and then make the plan to help get things less chaotic known. Also I'd suggest keeping things to a single guild rather than a mass of guilds. This would allow you to keep an eye out for potential threats to our cause that would otherwise meet another guild owner's idea of exeptable. Finally as someone mentioned these forums have their own variants of our group, though they are not so organised. If we remain as a single guild and not multiple guilds, we should probably see which members are actually fit to educate and not flame.
In short I belive we should stay a single guild and just have a sticky here for each forum's wanted and progress listing, analyse each new member for these subgroups to make sure they aren't hostile, rude, ect., and we should wait on acting until we have a large enough member base in each forum. If this was already the plan, sorry for wasting your time I did not know.
I hope I voiced these thoughts clearly enough and that you will at least think about them. sweatdrop
