The bliss was indescribable, the idea of being home once more soothing Miremba to new extremes. No longer did she feel the rush of her movements, the stress of getting there in time, instead she just felt the relaxed nature of the homelands brushing through her paws and the crickets soothing her ears. Night had fallen on the Mitima lands, and as the other wild dogs of the pack moved slowly, Miremba just sat at her den with a lopsided smile crossing her maw.
Her weight of her pups caused limited movements for her days, so instead she just worried over the need to protect and manage her pack, being pushed into the position abit unwillingly, though it needed to be done. She was the long lost heir of the lands, and soon the Alpha if she could move into her job. Instead, she just soothed the small amount of members they had, and restlessly tried to find confort with the 28 kicking paws that lined her body.
All at once, a loud yip filled the clearing, and Miremba realized she was the one who made the sound. Pain shot through her body, and caused her legs to slip out from under her in a quick movement. She knew just than what was happening, all from expirencing it before, and a whine laced her maw at the idea of once more going through it alone. Now, more than ever, she wished Binifu were by her side to help out.
Panting and shifting to her side literally, the white and azure dog tried to get everything prepaired on her own, moreso mentally than physically since she had to go through the pain of many pups, her body declairing a large litter would soon be on its way.

Jeuri walked through the homelands, his senses filled with the night sounds he adored. He was a star gazer, and he knew it. The idea of the vast amount of twinkling beings above them filled him with awe whenever he looked to the sky.
This night was different though, the heavens twinkled brighter than usual. Jeuri tilted his head to the side, giving a questioning glance to the heavens. As if in response, he heard the familiar voice he had grown to love as family shout out a yelp. Miremba!
Jeuri moved with cat like agility as he sprinted from his spot to where he heard the sound come from. As he neared her, he noticed she was on her side and panting heavily. He approached her cautiously, knowing this time was very delicate, and unsure of the reaction he'd get from her.

Shifting again as her breath came out still in pants, her eyes opened half way before she gazed with a dilousional expression at her cousin. Binifu would have been the best choice, but since she had disappeared, Miremba would settle with the male. It wasn't as if she hated her cousin, it was not that at all. Instead, she worried he couldn't handle a birth process, but as long as he was by her side he could help her through it, if only coaching her on.
"Jeuri..." She groaned as a contraction settled, "It is time for them to come...and there are a lot of them on their way..." She said it all with a dizzy smile, but a smile none-the-less as as her ears flatened at another painful wave that shot through. All the while, she hoped it would happen quickly, so it would be less pain to recover with.

Jeuri watched her with concern, and he settled beside her, head on her shoulder. "I'm here, don't worry. Everything will be fine." He cooed, his voice soft and caring. He knew this process was a delicate one, and he had never been near a birth before. His heart and mind were racing with anticipation and anxious awareness.
Jeuri sat up, stying right beside her though. He wanted to give her room while still being near to support her. He wished a female would come to help soon.

Sadly, there would be no new female to help, for all of them had already shifted out to hunt in the lands, the only two needing to feed the ever growing Pack. Instead, the clearing was filled with the soft, muffled whining of the Alpha, her strength showing dispite the fact she whimpered in pain.
It surprisingly took only a few minutes for Miremba to get close, for she was much more relaxed than last time. As she felt the first form move down the path towards life, she closed her eyes and murmered soft instructions to her cousin besides her.
"They will come one at a time...once I clean them, I am sure more will be arriving, so could you possibly keep them warm and guide them to where the need to feed...All you need to do is nudge them in the right direction, and as more come, pick up the finished eaters and hold them close...alright Jeuri?" Not able to wait for a reply, there was a flash of pain, and she leaned back to prepair for her first pup to arrive.

Jeuri nodded with understanding as she cringed, and he watched her with concern. "Alright." He said softly, hoping there would be no problems with the puppies. He wasn't sure what to do if there was a problem, but he figured he'd cross that bridge when they got to it. Hopefully they never would.
The blue and white dog watched his cousin with concern as the first pup arrived.

As soon as she leaned back, the process of birth took place, and Miremba was forced to push out her first pup. It took a few hard seconds but as soon as the pup passed, Miremba let out a releaved sigh and leaned back panting. She was forced to remember right away that the pup needed to be cleaned, so she sat up slowly and reached to pick up the dark scruff of pelt, settling it in her paws and burshing her tongue across to help the creature breath. Finally, she was able to take a good look at her first daughter."Jeuri...look at her, she is so beautiful...and a little star floating right on her chest just like our lands..." Her voice cracked at that, and she almost let out a soft sob at the idea of her daughter being so beautiful, so healthy. However, it soon passed as a sharp pinch reminded her of the situation at hand. Looking to her cousin with a relaxed gaze, she settled her pup near her belly, and guided the girl to feed as she waited for the next contractions to start.

Jeuri watched with interest as Miremeba gave birth to the first pup. When he saw the pup his pink eyes widened. "Yes, yes... she's beautiful." He said softly, his voice filled with honesty and awe. He watched as Miremba cleaned the pup, and as she got ready for the next one Jeuri moved the little girl closer to Miremba, hoping to be helpful. He cleaned her off a bit as well, knowing Miremba didn't have much time to clean each one. He waited anxiously for the next puppy, while keeping an eye on his new family member.

Upon feeling the warmth escape her, the firstborn pup struggled to go back to her warm home, not wanting to awaken from the dream which was before birth. When the lapping of her mother forced all of the air to rush into her lungs, Keilantra let out a soft cough before just perking her slim ears at Miremba's voice. The emotion was clear, and somehow right away, the pup stilled and relaxed, soothed by her mother already.
Placed near the belly, she eeped in surprise at the cold nose of her cousin before latching onto the appuratious of her meal, ready to fill the hunger that resided in her belly.
Miremba cringed at the sharp pains, both coming from the feeding and her next pup journeying towards the light. Looking at Jeuri when he spoke up, she just paused a moment in her thoughts to smile softly to him, clearly warmed by how much he seemed to welcome the new family. In her heart, she felt homely, as if everything would work out. There was no questioning for a father, because in all honesty, she knew her cousin would take care of them. Though they knew eachother little since the break up, she knew enough.
Before the words could come out, she had decided with that moment and just needed to make it offical, she instead let out another whine and got back to focus. Pushing just like she taught herself before, she let out one last breeze of a breath and turned her eyes to her pup, biting her lip as she knew it would not be wise to bend and pick her up. "Jeuri...could you clean her for me...there are more on their way...just help her breath by cleaning her chest first...than settle her next to her sister." Somehow, with just one look, Miremba knew she had two beautiful daughters, and hopefully more on their way. No ounce of disappointment was there in her voice, in her eyes, all there was was pure happiness.

Jeuri watched as the next, piebald pup escaped her mother and felt the first few breaths of life. He smiled warmly before perking up at Mirembas instructions. He felt his heart race, and carefully did what she told him, making sure he was thorough yet gentle with her.
When her bath was done, Jeuri gently picked her up and set her next to her sister. He glanced to Miremba, hoping he had done well with the little girl, and braced himself for the next pup to come.

It took only a second for her warm smile to fade as she felt not one, but two forms work their way. Though they would not be twins, it seemed that the beginning was not yet over. She took a deep breath before suddenly two forms came out, only seconds after another. True, they were not twins, but they were close enough that the birth process was unabling Miremba to give them the proper cleaning. She only got a moment to look at them before the pains took control once again.
She nodded for Jeuri to continuing the cleaning, as first the gray male was born, than the white and blue one.

Even through sealed eyes the dim cavern light seemed to burn. After the deep, comforting, infinate darkness he remembered, this was hell. Flickering memories of warmth and comfort swept over him; the heavy resounding thrum of blood through veins, smooth, calming ...
A faint whimper escaped his throat, legs weak beneath him as he stumbled on the harsh, unforgiving ground. It was so cold! And his small body burned for nurishment. He whimpered again, louder this time.

Life had been a warm, encompassing utopia, ruled by the steady, eternal rhythm that was his mother's heartbeat. However, life had suddenly turned into a cold turmoil, governed by pain, fear, and confusion. Gone forever was the warmth, rhythm, and the vague awareness that others were around you.
The sound of his brother's whimper seemed to awaken his own hunger. At the arrival of this new discomfort, Khima began to release his own whimpers, mingling them with the cries of his brother.

Jeuri watched as the two boys were born, and he quickly began to clean them. He did it quickly but efficiently, and picked them up gently in his jaw. He set the blue one beside his mother, showing him how to feed, and then did the same with the grey one.
As Jeuri watched them, he smiled warmly, his heart filled with the happiness that Miremba must've felt when she saw them. His warm smile left his face as Miremba looked in pain again. He braced himself to help her if she needed it.

With more siblings appearing, Keilantra was feeling overwhelmed by the bodies around her, and as soon as she finished, she squeezed out away from the forms and fell with the weakness of puphood. Eyes closed and sounds not coming through, she just let out a whine and wanted warmth, though did not want anymore food. Squirming, she sought out a place to rest, somewhere where she could curl and slumber, tired from her first real day at life as the warm meal soothed her senses.
Miremba was happy that Jeuri was there to sooth her family, and he definatly soothed her with how well he took care of each pup. Prepairing herself for the next move, her form let go of just one this time before her next rest, the pace having peaked with her past two and now slowing slightly, though not as slow as the first.
The next pup was another female, dark like the others as Miremba smilied at how they got their father's rich coat and her markings. It made her warm dispite how she couldn't even remember the males name, though she did not foresake him. He healed her, just as these pups will, forever she would thank the male for his gracious gift, he gave her life.
The female was black, and had blue marks on her tail, face and paws, as well as a bit of white. Waiting for Jeuri to clean, Miremba caught her breath as always, smiling to her pups as well as her cousin.
