I say if they ditched the one party thing and had a few more parties and if they cut back on the whole killing off religion (go buddhism woot) China would kick a**... oh yeah, and give theeir people free speach blah blah blah. Some people should just learn to keep it to themselves...

What do you think of China... AND my post. (Pick on China or both)

First off the Chinese Communist Party went against their people in the last decade. They call themselves Communists, however how can they be communist when they sell out their own people? Their people are making stuff for wal-mart, McDonalds, etc....Then they call it progress or what not. How is it progress when they are simply undermining the whole ideas of marxism? The people are being exploited even more, by letting these coporations come into their country and open up for so called buisness. I am not in favour of the Party at all. Its needs to go back to their roots. Another thing that is happening under the Party is the fact of the enviroment and how un-enviromentally friendly it is. Pollution is very high, the wildlife is suffering, all of the things you can imagine that involve the enviroment is turning crappy. China needs a makeover, and they need it soon or they are going to kill themselves.

I agree with red....I respect China for trying, but the past 20 years or so China has just been on track to turn itself inside out....hopefully they can at least somewhat salvage the remnants of the system...or we'll have 2 Capitalist superpowers one day, and thats teh last damn thing we need

I think they've lost focus. The lack of religion isn't that big of a problem. Religion leads to more problem than it solves. They're also becoming blatantly capitalistic.

the economy is still hevily collectivised, though, as noted, there have been major inroads made by capitalism. the fact is, it is still a deformed workers state, and thus demands our military support for its existence, while at the same time, we should call for a workers political revolution to oust that stalinist bureaucracy.

I cant really say anything that hasn't already been discused so to put it simply overall I do not like the party in China.

The thing about them being capitalist (part of it anyway) is a distortion caused by us on the outside looking in. Much of the capitalism going on that is visible is in them "special economic zones". I've looked into them and what they do is take advantage of capitalist countries and sap away their money, quiet smart actually. Unfortunatly this causes workers to be oppressed, and yes it does need reform.

I wonder if they'd let immigrants be in charge... pirate

And the Cultural Revolution was rather remniscent of Stalin's purges, except it was carried out by mobs rather than execution squads.

It went much the way as the former USSR. While trying to abolish classes, it somehow ended up accentuating their differences even more.

I don't really like Chinese Communism. They tried to have the perfect Communist state, but they failed. After Mao died, the country turned out to be capitalist more and more. I mean, would you have seen China under Mao organising the Olympics?

Already didn't like the Chinese Communism before Mao died. The Cultural Revolution is one of the worst things that happened to China. They kinda destroyed history.

That book is a utter load of s**t, now, then, and forever.

The only reason why I read it was because it forced in school, and I didnt burn it because it would have cost me 5 bucks.

But on topic, I spit on China, the nation that sells out their land, their eviroment, their values, thier tradtion, their people, they are a whore nation.

For all the name calling stare would any of you learn cantonese (major spoken language in china) find a way over there and change things? Come on I want to see hands raised people!!

I think things can't be changed in China anymore. Capitalism has taken over the country. There are huge differences between the wealth of people. It's the rich vs. the poor, not an idea of Communism.

If you want to change something, you need to change it NOW. Because the new generations don't know better than being born in a capitalist country.

A while ago I heard something interesting about the chinese commnists. "They once were peasants living in caves fighting oppression, Now they recently spent $500,000 for monogrammed knapkins for a party banquet.

I think that exactly makes the point. It expresses that Chinese communism slowly has turned into capitalism.
