Andal Cast: Ahkallyn, Elaria, and Kieran Silvercrest (moon) Rycel, Nyrie and Fianna Swiftfeather (wood) Lateef, Caprice, and Isleandra Rainsong (moon) Draewen and Talithia Soultide (sea) Calyeer and Shylihn Brightguard (arch) Mahlari Ardulaste (obsidan) Khaiver Baeoyn (obsidian) Various Crest Brigade (pure/bridge) Now Go Read This: http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=3716557Yes, this runs on a seperate time line from Labyrinth itself. In fact it is acutually two days ahead. This will be run like the AP: Moments of the Past thread, and indeed things here have 'already happened' thus filling the time advance that Labyrinth itself undergoes.

A step through the portal had the group standing in the Sadai Bazaar. Other gates were the main sights to see, but beside that, snow blanketed the land. Indeed, snow was falling, but the sky was a bright blue despite that.
Kieran didn't procrastinate in his ways right now and merely motioned the others to follow as he started walking in a particular direction. He stopped once he approached another elf, who was clearly a moon elf as well, evident by blue tinging. "Lateef, prompt as always I see."
Fianna easily followed Kieran, leading Anica as she went as well, till she was standing next to Kieran, giving a little smile...and a giggle that couldn't be helped, to Lateef. "Good to see you again old friend. Been quite some time."
Piper sighed lightly at the familair scents and feelings that hit more or less as soon as they crossed planes. Familar things from her childhood. Was nice...would be nicer if she wasn't feeling so bad. Piper walked between Malik and Zahara, holding a pair of lead ropes to two winged Zephyrs, while Zahara had the other two. She felt the need to feed information to them both as they followed after Kieran and Fianna. "That's Lateef Rainsong, more or less father's aide. Keeps him on track and what not." She didn't know how she was feeling about seeing him again. Oh yes, she was horribly nervous.

Damn this place. first though in Malik's head as the light reflecting off the snow still made him have to cover his eyes even beneath his hood. the air was..foul to his Underdark aclimated nose, too many scents in the air, too much..well..life. So he just stood there for a few moments, breathing. the snow made it easier, since it was mostly just the scents of elves, and thier perfumes, thier bodies, and the wares for trade.
He gave a slight nod to Piper, letting her go ahead of him for a little bit while his body tried to crash course rapid adjustment. that took a few minutes to be able to see without his hand over his eyes and breathe easier, though a bit more labored, and the hood still up...before going to meet Lateef.
Winter was his favorite season. the chill, the place blanketed in white, crisp snow..blue skies, and clouds. though for now, all he gave Lateef was a nod, not trusting himself to talk yet without coughing or sounding hoarse.

The moon elf in question straightened from his relaxed pose and offered a smile of greeting. "Of course, me and my schedule and whatnot. Just a habit I can't break." He was about the same height as Kieran with long silvery hair pulled back in a loose ponytail, the back of which was tipped in a mossy green as well as a few streaks throughout his bangs which hung over to the right and down to his chin, teal eyes brigtening at the sight of the small entourage. He smiled brightly at his friend clasping his fist to the spot just below his shoulder and bowing his head slightly. "Lord Silvercrest." Formal as always when Lateef was in public this way. Fianna however got a different reaction. He smiled at her and gently took her shoulders to kiss her on her naked cheek. "Fianna Swiftfeather, how wonderful it is to see you my dear."
He lightly took hold of her cheeks, his teal eyes flickering over her face before registering recognition and his smile widened. "You're looking positively rosy Lady Swiftfeather." Yes he knew exactly what was going on with her, he'd seen the symptoms many times in his beloved Caprice. "Caprice will be thrilled to see you. She's right over there shopping if you'd like to say a quick greeting." His attention turned to the others in the group and he continued the smile well aware of the additions to Kieran's party. "Welcome to Andal. I hope she serves you well and leaves you with pleasant reveries you wish to revisit over and over again."
He studied the hoods for a moment then blinked. "Piper? Is that you? My goodness you've grown so much though I should know that since my own Isle is bigger too." He pushed forward ignoring the other elf standing beside her for the moment and smiled warmly pushing her hood off so he could see her face. "Welcome home Piper. I'm very happy to see you."
Formalities concluded he turned to Kieran and shook his head. "Kieran, would you like to handle the introductions before we move onto official business and head off?"
Zahara was entranced by this entire place afrer slightly recovering from the sudden glare of light on her eyes. That wasn't too nice. She'd been slightly prepared for the surface by the stories and such she'd heard but nothing could compare to this. The Bazaar was bustling at this hour of the day with the normal shoppers out to retrieve their daily wares and her nose was instantly assaulted by all sorts of new smells. She wrinkled the offended appendage and glanced up briefly before jerking back as a snowflake landed on her nose. There was water...falling from the sky...and what was the white stuff coating the ground? Suddenly she didn't like this place anymore and wanted to go home. She clung tight to the lead ropes, petting the Tempest absently as she studied this new world from under her hood. She was feeling entirely out of place but then she was surrounded by surface elves. This was going to be an interesting experience. Turning her attention to the elf before them she listened to his greeting and nodded. Apparently he knew Piper, how lovely.

Fianna giggled pleasantly, giving Lateef the same gesture back. "Why thank you Lateef." And a look over to where Caprice was indeed...seemed she had tagged along with Lateef. A nod to the others and she walked off for the moment to do just what had been suggested before she would be making her way home.
A look Malik and Zahara...they both didn't seem too enthused about this all now did they? Well she was in thier boat... but Piper smiled rather nervously from the oh so wonderful hide out her cloak made...though her head instantly snapped to the side when Lateef knocked her hood back, just so at that angle, he couldn't see what she didn't want him to see. Though he did get a hug as usual. "Come now, I'm the only moon elf with blaring red streaks in her hair in this fashion, don't play coy Lateef. But it's good to see you too Lateef...and to think I pictured you a ragged mess by now from father's running you around."
Kieran chuckled lightly, and waved a hand dismissively...he never was one to be formal with Lateef, they were like brothers practically. "Honestly Lateef, enough of the formalities...you can be such a tour guide sometimes." Though he waited a moment till Lateef finished his rune through, after all, Piper was like his own daughter as well, and then Kieran cleared his throat, gestureing to the two drow...though with hoods up, Lateef didn't know that now did he? Okay...so Kieran left some things out...he was busy.
"Lateef, this would be Malik D'vinn, Piper's fiancee, and this is Zahara Val'Ril," Then a gesture to Lateef, "Lateef Rainsong...the babysitter...among other things." Another little chuckle at that before his attention turned back to Lateef himself. "Things are set then, yes?"

Of course, custom for Malik, when his name was mentioned, he lifted his hands up and removed his hood, though that act temporarily blinded his poor eyes. He gave a nod forward, assuming Lateef was still there while his eye went from white nothing to vague imaging to normal vision. and man did that hurt the retinas. Okay, we can do this.
"May Rinc Kar keep you, Lateef Rainsong."
Hey it might be formal, and he coudln't help the drow accent to his speech, but it would pass he hoped. provided the slight hoarsness of his voice didn't affect what he actually said or sounded like he said too much.

A nod to Fianna as she walked off and then his attention went back to the others in the group. "Pleased to meet you all, Lady Val'Ril, Lord D'Vinn. As I said welcome to Andal." He recognized the interesting names for a moment and thought briefly of them being drow. A glance at Kieran for a moment though he said nothing on that particular suspicion...yet. Though his eyes widened slightly as the elf shoved back his hood and he was...blue. "May Rinc...Kier...keep you as well Lord D'Vinn." Funny moon elf? Or...was Kieran bringing back things he shouldn't be messing with due to his curiosity.
"Indeed you are but they are so very attractive, though I must say Miss Silverfeather, you chopped off all your hair. Not that I'm complaining you still look raidiant as always. Red always was a good color for you. Isle will be tickled blue to see you, you really must make sure you stop and see her immediately or else I will hear about it. And you know how that goes." That being said he rolled his eyes at Kieran's words but played into the joke, still keeping his attention on Piper.
"Unpaid but very much appreciated, especially in moments like this." A clap on the back for Kieran, he knew Lateef's quirky habits. He liked to do funny things, like observe the formalities for royals until permission was given to assume a more informal air. "I really should ask for something else, but I know Kieran couldn't live without me so evenutally it does even out. Especially when I do things like this." He winked at Piper then cleared his throat. "By the way Kieran, your father would like an...audience with you when we get back. But I think we're all set." He turned his head in the direction Fianna had skipped off to and raised his voice, "Caprice, we're leaving dear. Come, come, no need to be any later than we already are due to another elf's blatant disregard for schedules...." a pointed glance at Kieran at that.
So much light....it didn't feel right and she didn't like it. Zahara blinked at the elf who called out her name and nodded briefly saying nothing. She didn't trust herself to speak. She turned and looked at the gate they'd come out of wishing it was still open so she could slip back through. Why had she wanted to come here? Sevilin was right, not wonderful at all. Taking a breath she felt more smells assail her and sneezed. Blinking at the unfamiliar gesture she shook her head and rubbed her nose. Yeah...wrong. She would just stay under cloak thank you very much. Andal could be....Andal without her. Sevilin was probably laughing his a** off the drunk b*****d. He'd tried to warn her though, she couldn't deny that...she'd just been so wide eyed adn innocent, a position that was truly distasteful to her. Another breath and her stomach revolted. No, not here, not now. She forced the disgusting bile back down and pursed her lips. She was not a happy drow. And she was irritated at all the strange words she heard around her. She could understand everything that had come from Lateef's mouth but none of the others. Though judging by the nonthreatening syllables and the same sort of thing spoken by Piper at one point, she garnered it was surface elvish and she'd never really understand. As long as they spoke Common to her, she was fine.

Kieran's happy demeanor died a little at Lateef's statement...oh yes that was just an oh so wonderful piece of news wasn't it. More light leading him to the gallows for something. "Any idea what he wants to see me on or am I left in the dark as to that till I am facing such a...trial?" No, that wasn't wonderful news. But his attention was drawn away by the arms that slipped around his waist and the kiss that was pressed to his cheek, and he looked down to Fianna who was latched to his side once more. "Leaving are you?"
A little nod from her, and then a pat on his chest, giving him another kiss. "Indeed I am, and I will see you soon enough, you'll see me before council anyway seeing as I'll be arriving with you as always. By the way, dear, Brightguard is hosting." Another pat and a kiss before she let him go and moved to Piper, pulling the young elf into a hug and pressing a kiss to her cheek...pulling her hood back up to keep snow off of her as any mothre would. "Don't do anything troublesome okay?" Then a look to Malik and Zahara. "That goes for you two as well." A little nod to them, and then to Lateef and Caprice before walking over to Anica and mounting up. "Off to the trees with me then. Sweet water and light laughter till next we all meet."
"And you're ever the flirt Lateef." A hug to her mother, then watching her go off, before taking hold of Malik's arm and leaning against him. A nod to Lateef. "Of course I will...after all, she'll be crushed if I don't personally invite her to the wedding." Piper smiled up at Malik lightly...really she was still quite impressed that he was going to go through with all of this.
Kieran rolled his eyes lightly. "I do not direguard schedules...I just like to wing things. But enough banter...let's get back to Lucanna." Thus a gesture to the nearby docks before they were all lead over to a ship, and boarded. The two drow would find that trips across Anadalian waters with Zephyr winds in sails were surprisingly short. Convient if anything. Docking on the Lucana shores would lead to a horseback trek up into the mountains...rather up and down cris cross easy to be lost on path, but it was easily navitgated, soon putting the little party entering Farhian. Kieran smiled lightly. "No place like home."

Sea travel. always interesting. the rock of a boat, the smell of the sea, the roll of the waves. it was enjoyable..and short. then through the more mountainous terrian, and it got much easier to breathe. that was great. and then to Kieran's kingdom. dwarven workmanship and elven grace. a small smile and a nod to Kieran.
"A fine home city."
A pat to Ramoth, He would never dream of leaving the Nightmare at home...and a glance back to Zahara. both of them being drow, he was giving her a slight once over to make sure she was alright. after all this was technically his second trip to a surface..it was her first. and he remembered his first time. not exactly easy or pleasent on the body those first few weeks...before opening nad digging in one of the Tinker's bags, pulling out the bedside table and opening a drawer and sliding open the drawers and pulling out a bag and the tabletop mirror. gifts for Rainsong's daughter...and putting the bedside table back in it.

Lateef shrugged, "Does he ever explain why he wants to see you or anyone else for that matter? His style has not changed since his rule Kieran, very few words come from old Silvercrest's mouth...except when he's yelling...mostly at you. Then he seems to have no end to the amount of words that come spilling out. But no matter, forward then." Caprice was settled at his side in her proper place and the couple boarded the ship before the others, settling into the routine of a familiar boatride.
Wedding. He remembered Kieran mentioning something along those lines, something about a fiancee for Piper. Must be the blue...elf. That really did intrigue him and he drifted over to Kieran for a moment. But his attention was taken by the ride and Caprice had some things to share from her talk with Fianna.
Zahara stepped onto the boat shakily for a moment, grasping to the rail and studying the swirling water below. It was not dark and forboding like Underdark water yet it didn't fill her with happy feelings either. Viciously it lapped, spurred on by the wind created by the wonderful Zephyrs. She clung tightly to the lead ropes and the familiarity the brought, reaching into her pocket for sugar cubes to reward both young foals for their good behavior. She sneezed again and then the boat began moving and her stomach rebelled again. Nope, not fun. She felt that bile she'd swallowed down come right back to the surface and fled for the side. Could she lose her breakfast in this water? Weren't there elves that lived in the water that might come hurt her? But her body made the decision for her and she leaned over the side paying the homage she'd managed to get out of earlier. Not happy at all.
Lateef noticed it and walked over taking the lead ropes and holding them waiting politely for her to finish. "First time on a boat I see." He thought about it for a moment and then shook his head waving his hand dismissively much the way Kieran did. "Don't worry, the sea elves will not hurt you for polluting their beautiful ocean. They live the opposite direction and too far down to even know. You may relax Lady Val'Ril. I'm sorry the trip is rough for you."
Zahara studied him for a moment then shoved her hood back shaking her head. "It's just..." Her lunch, what was left of it anyway threatened to come back up and she chose to keep her words few. "Thanks..." That was a load off her mind anyway. She reached out for the ropes taking them when they were offered back to her and nodded. "I'll..be fine." She sneezed again and shook her head, sniffling. Go to my happy place...my happy place.
"Very well. I have a ship to pilot, can't let it happen on it's own you know." He would have reached out to pat her shoulder but drow very rarely liked to be touched so he merely headed back to his perch and began to steer the ship. It took little to no time to get to shore and up through the narrow path though he kept his eye on the newcomers to see how they were faring. Farhian loomed ahead in all it's bright glory and Lateef couldn't help the prideful smile he bestowed. "Indeed it is, one of the finest in all of Andal though every race will tell you that of their own home city." A brief glance at Malik with a smile. He was proud of his home, it was elegant and simple much like the moon elves themselves and it brought him joy when someone shared that pleasure.
"Home indeed. Now then Kieran, playtime is over, we need to get down to work. Council occurs in less than a month, you have subjects to see to, reports to go over, a pile of parchment to sign and questions to answer from me. I have things to know, and you have a meeting to attend...right now. Go. Lord Silvercrest senior is waiting in the East Conference Room. I will take care of the others." Said as they were coming up the path to the maginificent palace at the northeast corner of the city.

"Pride of the elves, ever amusing." And then indeed playtime was over as Kieran slipped off of Nerian. "Sounds like a ball..." That's what he got for being gone so long, wasn't it? Well it had to come around and get him sometime and he did need to get to work, didn't he. "Very well then." Walking over to Piper as she had slipped off of her own mount he pressed a kiss to her forehead. "You enjoy getting yourself, Malik and Zahara settled, I am going to go deal with your grandfather and then Lateef will probably chain me to my desk and lock my chamber doors. If you need me, you know where to find me, and I will see you at dinner."
A look to Lateef. "You can play host and what not, yes? While I go do this work you stress over?" That was rhetorical really. "Good." Then a wave to them all...Lateef would get horses stabled and things taken care of and what not, after all...that was his job and all. That said Kieran turned on his boot heel, heading inside and starting down corridors...oh he was not looking foward to this.
Well...Malik seemed his happy self on the boat, that as a good thing...though Zahara had seemed less so...ride up to Farhian wasn't bad either...then again as the air got thinner she supposed it was easier on both drow. Her? She was just enjoying the feel of the surface sround her, the snow falling and the sounds that caught her attention. Yes, she'd admit it...she missed this. Though she couldn't help the little chuckle as he literally pulled out the bedside table, going through it a moment before putting it back. But that only did so much to keep her nervousness at bay...after all, they were around a lot of surface elves...A nod to Kieran as he went off...him and grandfather were going to do it again, weren't they? Seemed Lateef was left with them...how fitting. A look to both drow. "Are you two doing okay?"

LAteef blinked for a moment then registered the fact that a beside table had been pulled out of the bag. Were his eyes decieving him or did he just see incorrectly? A true bedside table...right out of that entirely too small to house such an item bag. He'd ask Kieran later or snatch one of his many journals and read about it. He had no doubt there were all sorts of titillating facts to be found in one of his newer versions. After all he'd spent entirely too much time in the Underdark making him late and unprepared for Council.
Rhetorical question indeed. Of course Lateef could handle it, he handled everything around here. Taking the reins from each person as well as the foals lead ropes he smiled at his wife. "Caprice, darling, take care of these for me. Just stable them and then you're free to do whatever. Dinner is the usual time and goodness knows it will be formal since it's the first official day of Kieran's daughter back in Andal."
Caprice attended to, he turned to the others. "Shall we?" Oh yes, entrance into the palace, through the foyer and into the main corridor that ran to all wings of the palace. Piper knew this place extremely well so he was going to give her the choice. "Ah, yes here we are in your new home for however long. Piper, you may play tour guide for your betrothed and friend and allow me to get a few things done or I can do so. It does not matter to me at all."
Zahara shook her head, she had no desire to go on a tour of anything. Right now she wanted to be back in the Underdark with its cold air, familiar sickly trees and black water. But that wasn't going to happen so she wanted the second best thing. "A bed. A room, something of that sort if you don't mind..."
And so teh decision was made. Lateef clapped his hands and walked over to the suffering, female taking her arm lightly. "I will grant Lady Val'Ril's request. Piper, you are free to go wherever and do whatever you wish with your promised. You remember where everything is, yes? Good. Good. Then we'll just be off. Come Lady Val'Ril, we'll get you a wonderful room and you'll be just fine. You know Andal is really not that bad of a place, it tends to be a little rough on necomers at first but eventually things lighten up..." and he continued on as he led her down the hall leaving Malik and Piper alone in the hall.
Zahara wasn't quite sure what to think. She was sneezing, having trouble breathing, and felt like she was going to explode any moment. Her head felt strange too. How dare the surface do all this to her. She clung to Lateef's arm adn walked beside him though most of his words went right through her mind and were promptly forgotten. She made a mental note to go visit the foals later just to make sure they were acclimating well to their new home. Piper seemed to be perfectly fine and she and Malik could have some alone time. She had no desire to tag along after them while stories were shared and places visited.

"Better. the thinner air is much easier on me."
Thougha slight grin to Zahara as she was led off.
"I remember my first time on the surface. she'll be grouchy a few days, while she adjusts. I'm adjusting faster becuae I've been to the surface before for a long time."
Though he did walk over and take piper's arm, lacing it through his.
"Well, Amael...care to take me on the tour? and we'll see your friend while we're at it?"

Piper chuckled lighly. "Lateef is such a show runner...indeed the babysitter...my father's that is. Though he's a bit wordy and worries too much sometimes I think." Of course a little sympathetic look after Zahara, as Lateef took her off to go find a bed. She knew that bein sick and out of place feeling...she had had it the first few weeks or so when she was down in the Underdark. So now, no giggly mother, no kidding father, no talkative Lateef, and no sicky Zahara. Just them two. A little smile to Malik. "That's good love...wouldn't be fun to have you panting when there's no reason to be doing so." And she twined thier fingers together as he laced his arm through hers. "Well it's not horribly exciting but if you really want to, I don't see the harm. We'll start this way." Thus leading him off down some non descript hallway. "And it's Chev' remember? Don't turn into a surface elf on me." A little chuckle and then a nod of her head. "Perhaps...I'm sure she's around here somewhere, our rooms used to be right next to each other." It was all that one expected of a palace...lavish long corridors with doors that led to any number of rooms, conferance and bedroom alike...others seemed to be like store rooms for one thing, or work studies, little libraries and what not. Tapestries and what not on walls, various objects which looked like that had been gathered from some miscellenious adventure...which they probably were and by Kieran. The usual noble and lavish everything, but not overly so. But she had a place in mind, she wanted to see her room...not to mention it had a great view of the city. Easy enough to find, and she turned the knob of the door...rather surprised it was unlocked, and stepped in with Malik. Same lavish decor as the rest of the place, but those little touches that spoke of a young girl once occupying it. "Come here." Thus pulling him over to two glass doors covered by curtains that were pushed aside and the doors opened, pulling him onto the balcony which indeed had a perfect view of the city.
Kieran sighed as he rested his hand on the door knob. He wasn't going to let this ruin his day...besides, it could be a good thing. Though usually when his father wanted to talk to him...it was to gripe about something or other that he wasn't very fond of at that moment in time. Clearing his throat he turned the knob and stepped in. "Hello father...Lateef told you me that you wished to speak with me when I got back."

((Due to the abundance of speech and characters, surface elvish in Andal will be italicized and correspond to the color of the character speaking. Telepathic communication will be marked by no or one quotation.))
Ahkallyn Silvercrest did not even look up from the documents he was perusing. He would acknowledge his son's presence in his own time. Slowly he skimmed and scanned over them, making marks on a few and looking pensive on a few others. Finally after an undetermined amount of time had passed he glanced up and folded his hands leveling his gaze on his son. "Kieran."
Kieran had taken after Elaria though he shared Ahkallyn's hairstyle, leaving it long with the exception of a few strands that passed for bangs. Ahkallyn's was braided back with golden streaks appearing throughout the braid and golden eyes stared back from a pale face. Blue highlights on his cheekbones and the tips of both ears bespoke his origin as a moon elf. On his right cheek the tattoo that told of his status as a former ruler matched the one on his son's.
"I see you finally decided to come back and attend to the duties that you took on with that tattoo. I never understood why you felt the need to go gallivanting off on adventures when you have plenty to entertain you here.Tapping his laced hands on the documents in front of him he shook his head."Council begins in less than a month and I shudder to think what you actually have prepared. Knowing you, you have a few makeshift scribbles discussing various things that Lateef has given you so you can appear prepared when in reality you have no idea what's actually occurring in your own kingdom. Am I anywhere close to correct?" One silvery eyebrow raised in the gesture his son would recognize from times when he'd been much smaller and called into his father's study to give an account for whatever mischief he'd gotten himself into.
