A thin pale skinned girl snuck into the clinic doors, staring around first, as if she was half expecting to see someone. When that someone hadn't been spotted, Elle sighed in relief. Her mother wasn't here, so it was okay.

She pulled off her long jacket that had covered a slightly more revealing outfit than Elle knew Neith would like, and flopped down on a cushion on teh floor. The toys weren't as interesting anymore, but Elle had always secretly liked children's books. That, and the clinic might have someone she used to know. Elle had gotten a bit lonely lately, wandering on her own.

The shrieking made Elle jump, as the once peaceful waiting room erupted into child-provoked chaos. At least, that was how it seemed to her sensitive ears.

But she could tell that Luna was nearby as well, which was a pretty good way to make up for noise. Elle twisted around to stare at the two little girls. Even though she could tell Luna was there, it took her a few seconds to realise that Luna had grown.

"Luna, you're getting so big!" Elle exclaimed happily, face lighting up with delight as she lazily wriggled across the floor on her bum to move nearer to Luna. She looked at the other, louder child and told her, "Hi, I'm Elle. Who are you?"

Elle hugged Luna happily, telling her, that Luna would grow so fast now, that she'd be as tall as Elle! Elle would have to take Luna horse riding soon, she could meet Elle's horse.

"Hi Ying!" Elle told the other girl, and stretched out one of the tiny feathered wings. "They're little wings, my Mom has some too."

She stared up at Jo, and for the first time ever since Elle had met him... something clicked. Something that made Elle's eyes widen and her head twist away towards Luna again as quickly as it could.

...had he always looked so cute?

Horse.... Elle reached out to grab a soft toy horse and showed Luna. Like this, but big so we can ride it.

She stuck two barbie dolls onto the horse's back in an odd mimic of 'riding'. But Elle couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed now, there was Jo here and she was playing with dolls. He was an adult, or something!

"No, they just sit there. I don't think they can do anything." Elle answered, wriggling a wing. After a thought, she raised her tail and gently poked Ying with the arrow-tip. "My tail can hold things though."

The tail twitched under Ying's examination, but Elle didn't let it move too much. She knew it could have a mind of it's own. "I was born with it, I didn't buy it. My other Mom had a tail, a black one. I got white instead."

Elle's face didn't stop smiling, but the very thought of her other Mom made her heart sink a bit. She probably didn't like Elle's tail either, because it wasn't the same. ...still. Elle's friends liked the tail, so it made up for it.

Her eyes darted over to Jokeph's hands. Sign language? Elle didn't know sign language! But she now had the craving to learn it, he could be saying all kinds of things at her and she'd never know!

"I don't understand." Elle told him, shrugging helplessly.

"Maybe you could make one or buy one! I saw a tail for sale once in a toy store, a dragon tail." Elle tried, adding, "And it looked really cool."

She looked down at Luna, and shook her head. Only for a bit, Elle was too happy at being with friends to be sad for long. heart

"Oh. I'm okay..." Elle blinked, and her heart fluttered, Jokeph cared if Elle was okay?!, "Just feeling a bit strange today."

Elle hugged Luna, agreeing. Friend! How could anyone be unhappy with so much goodness all around them? Elle couldn't wait till Luna was a bit bigger, she could meet one of the little fat ponies.

"No, I'm all right." Elle insisted. She paused though with the soups, because it reminded Elle of something. Was Elle supposed ot be ashamed about not being able to have food? She'd never thought of it, always having been with her Mom who knew. But the TV and movies always seemed to think that blood drinkers were bad...

She'd not tell anyone for now. "I had something to drink earlier. But thankyou."

Elle shook her head, insisting even more. "I feel good, really good. Really. Don't worry."

He was so concerened for her! Elle's heart fluttered more, and she looked back towards Luna so that she could get a hold of herself. This was the acid man, after all. She couldn't even touch him, this was silly!

...she was probably just really ... something. Probably not even that kind of like, even if it was as uncomfortable and strange and... She couldn't think about it anymore! Denial was good too.

Elle picked up a book. Does Luna want to be read a book?
