He knew it was real. The feeling that had started to develope only a short time ago. It grew with every new meeting and thought of her, about her eyes, her smile, how she spoke, how she made him feel complete. Logan knew it was real...but how could he tell her? What would she say?
His paws padded along the shoreline as the sun began to set beyond the horizon line. The sky beginning to turn from shades of blue to pinks and oranges. Lighting up the sky before the stars would come out and reveal themselves.
But would he see her tonight?
He believed she would come, but he was still wondering how to tell her. The feeling of love was coursing its way through his veins, but he didn't know what love was, how it felt, he didn't know...that that was what he felt towards Echo.
He loved her.
But would he tell her, could he? Echo was so close to her sister, Ophelia didn't seem to like him much anyway. But both had come back here, that had to be a start, but was he jumping in too soon? Was it right to tell her tonight...he wanted to, but couldn't find the words. His mouth felt dry, his mind blank escept for the image of Echo and her smiling.
Echo in her entirety.
Logan flopped down onto the sand beneath him, watching as the waves lapped the shore, the water with its ebb and flow with each moment. Forever changing in its own self, changing everything around it. Molding others to how the waves moved. He wanted to tell her, he wanted to change...
Logan, wanted to feel complete.

Not so much unlike Logan, the small female was also feeling something. And, like him, she didn't know quite what it was. Her heart pounded every time she thought about him or mentioned his name to her sister, and her stomach grew all in a knot whenever she thought about him. What was this that she was feeling? Was this actually due to him or was it just some illness that she had?
Unsure of it all, but determined to not let it bother her, Echo padded calmly through the forest towards the shore, where she had promised to meet Logan. As she came out of the bushes and caught sight of him, she couldn't help but notice that her heart was pounding again. The sound vibrated in her ears, drowning out the sound of the ocean for a moment. But she shook her head and, to her relief, the sound faded and she could hear properly again.
Whisking her tail for no reason at all, she yipped slightly and bounced forward, the fading light of the sunset illuminating him and making him look strikingly handsome.
Trying to keep her head cleared of all confusing thoughts, the omega simply walked up to stand beside him then immediately sat down, her tongue lolling out of her mouth in a pant. Though night was fast coming, the heat still pressed.
Still wagging her tail, she smiled and looked at him, her eyes shining with a greeting that could not be spoken.

Logan's eyes were closed when Echo was approaching, strangely he felt like she was coming close, though he could not tell with his eyes closed, head full of thoughts or the present and the past. How he hated his past...he wondered if one day he'd have to tell Echo.
Logan's history and family was no such thing he liked to speak of. He had hated himself for being born into such a life when he was so young. Hated by his siblings, looked at with disgust from his mother, his father seeing disgrace in Logan. His father even had exiled him from the pack...made Logan leave on his own, with nothing he could ever know again.
But he felt better here, in a new place, new friends, new feelings and other plans awaited him though not known yet to the male. He opened his eyes as he heard Echo yip and a smile spread across his maw, his tail instantly wagging in the sand creating a little dip where it swished back and forth.
As she approached and sat beside him, he could tell in her eyes that she wished to say hi, but her curse was not allowing her to, but he didn't care. He liked Echo for who she was regardless of her curse, though someday Logan wished he could hear Echo speak his name to him, even if it was just once. He'd remember it forever.
"How are you Echo? Everything well? You and Ophelia comfortable?" he asked with hoep in his voice, he wanted both of them comfortable. Logan seemed even more happy that Echo seemed comfortable around him as well.
Should he tell her?

Echo couldn't help but smile and lean into the male as he asked how she was. For some reason, his voice just calmed her and made her feel comfortable. It had a sort of soft roughness to it that simply let her feel safe and protected.
"Echo... well," she said, nodding slightly as she pulled away from him a little. Though she felt comfortable around him, there was something about leaning into him like that that made her feel... she didn't know quite what it was, but it was a strange feeling. She felt good doing it, but at the same time she felt like she shouldn't be. What if he didn't like it?
Thinking about that caused her to blush immensely, her ears falling back slightly in embarassment.
"Echo and Ophelia comfortable," she said softly, looking away and at the ground. A part of her wanted to just curl up with him, to feel safe and warm. But then another part of her didn't want to be a fool. What if he didn't feel the same way? It would be terrible if she upset him by doing something he didn't want to do.
After that, she merely sat there awkwardly. What now?

Logan smiled softly and witheld a low rumble of his throat as Echo leaned against him. She was so warm, and it felt so comfortable, so right to be sitting with her like this.
He was glad to hear that she was well, and both her and Ophelia were comfortable, it made him relieved, to hear they were both happy with their new accomidations. He watched her as she seemed embarrased about leaning against him, and she pulled back which had him fold his ears back in consideration. Did she not like it? Was he not comfortable...which sounded very odd in his mind when he thought it.
When she pulled back he shifted himself so he could scoot next to her and he smiled, "Its alright," he said in his low rough voice, yet it was soft, caring...loving. A cool breeze swept over the shore and he shivered slightly and titlted his head and blinked, his eyes just watching her.
He shifted his paw so it was a few inches from her own, "Echo...can...can I tell you something?" he hoped it would be okay, and he hoped she wouldn't be afraid after he told her.

Even though the male had said that it was okay, she still didn't feel quite right about it. It felt good to lean against him and just rest there with him, but for some reason she felt like she shouldn't be doing it, like she was abandoning her sister or something by growing closer to Logan. She knew it was a bit absurd, but that's how she felt.
Then, when he asked her if he could tell her something, she perked her ears and glanced towards him. She was still close to him, and she felt her cheeks grow hot. Never before had she felt this way or gotten so close...
"Can tell," she whispered, nodding slightly.

Logan took a deep breath and tried to clear his thoughts. How could he just come out and say it? He didn't want to be too forward, he knew how those type of things eventually ended up, but this was different.
He wanted her to be happy, he wanted her to be safe, protected, and he wante to be the one to protect her. But he didn't want her to feel like he was trying to rip her away from Ophelia either, he wasn't sure how to say what he wished to say since the beginning.
"The funny feeling, well the good feeling I talked about before hasn't gone awy at all Echo...and its like..." he was stumbling for words now. COuld he just say it? Why wouldn't his mouth work and his tongue roll the words off, why was this so difficult?!
"Everytime I see you...or think about you...I feel happier...I feel complete...and I think..." he took another breath and looked up from the ground he was staring at moments before, "I think that...that I'm falling...falling in love with you..." he bit his tongue nad turned his head and closed his eyes as if salt water just touched them.
He shouldn't have said it...watch, now she'll run away scared, Ophelia will hate him, and he'll be back at square one, feeling like he didn't belong on this earth anymore. He curled his tail around him for slight comfort, but he wondered if telling her the truth, telling her that he loved her, which now he knew that was the feeling he had felt, he wondered if it was right to do.

Echo listened intently to the wolf sitting beside her. He seemed to stumble over his words and didn't seem like he was able to find the right way to say what was on his mind. It confused her for a second, but then he finally got out what he was trying to say. And when he did, it was like a great weight was lifted from her shoulders. It was like his confession allowed her to realize just what was going on and figure out the complicated feelings that had been confusing her all this time.
Smiling at him, she stood upon her paws and looked into his eyes for a good minute. Her tail swayed gently back and forth, before it finally stopped and rested on his, curling around in a sort of embrace.
An embarassed look came over her face as she glanced away for a moment. She knew this was a good thing, now that he had said it out loud and she had figured out her feelings, but she was still a little nervous about it all. What would Ophelia think? Shaking her head, she forced herself not to think about that. Once her twin learned that they were in love, she was sure to accept it. After all, if it made the omega happy, wasn't that all that mattered?
"I... l'm falling in love with you," she said back to him, smiling as her eyes shined with what light there was left from the sunset.
Sighing with the relief that she had finally got that all sorted out, Echo leaned into him again and nuzzled him under his chin, closing her eyes and making a happy grumbling sound.
"I love you."

Logan sighed and wuffed low as he curled his tail to entwine with hers as he shifted himself to curl around her protectively. As if trying to shield her from everything, even the cool breeze that darted up and down the shoreline.
He rested his head upon hers and smiled, his heart racing, eyes closed, "I love you too Echo...so much." For a few moments from that point he said nothing, just enjoyed the sensation of having Echo r5ight next to him. Her warmness from her body against his own. Both, held in a loving embrace he wished would never end.
Logan's instincts were racing through his veins but he witheld them, he wouldn't do anything, he wouldn't force Echo into anything. He had said he loved her, which he did whole heartedly.
"I promise Echo...I'll keep you safe, and I'll love you, I'll love you now, tonight, tomorrow, forever," he said softly nuzzling her gently, placing a gentle lick upon her cheek with a smile on his maw.
The feeling of heat between them was enough to drive him mad with love and passion. But he fought his instincts, no, he wouldn't give in. He'd wait, he loved Echo, and he'd one day show her how much he truly loved her. He wanted to make sure she was ready. SO again he was silent, just in the embrace with Echo, snuggled up, loving each moment their hearts beated together as one.

Echo felt simply amazing once they had both got out that they loved each other. It was a feeling like no other, this love between them. It was something so strong and amazing that nothing would be able to break it or even harm it. They loved each other and always would, no matter what. It was something she didn't really understand, but then it didn't matter anyways. What did matter was that they had each other, and they would always be there for one another.
"Tonight.." she repeated in a whisper, feeling him curl around her in a warm embrace, one that protected her from everyone and everything. Not even the breeze could get her now.
Laying there with him, with their bodies so close, the female felt a new feeling wash over her. It was a strange feeling, a wild feeling. She felt it surge through her veins to all parts of her body. She didn't know what it was, and it was taking over quickly. Her body felt hot as she lay there next to him, his body touching hers...
And then she simply couldn't help herself. Grumbling softly, Echo nuzzled herself into him and tried to squeeze herself under his body. When she was at least a little under him, she nipped at him playfully and nudged him.
"Love you now," she whispered, nudging him again.

He was enjoying the closeness of them, while the waves lapped the shore. The sun gone and the moon beginning to fade into the young night sky. For still some brightness from the sun lingered, but the stars were beginning to come out and play, twinkle in the ever approaching darkness.
Logan was taken aback for a moment by Echo saying tonight, he tilted his head in slight confusion. He wasn't quite sure what Echo was trying to get across to him. The feelings inside were fogging the obvious, then it hit him while she was snuggling against him. Nudging him, trying to move under him.
His expression faded from slightly confsued to soft and caring. And he nuzzled her gently. He was surprised by her boldness, but it attracted him closer to her with each second they were so close. Instincts beginning to kick in, Logan smiled and raised himself off the ground so Echo would be nestled safety and comfortably beneath him.
His forelegs were on either side of her now, he craned his neck over to whisper to her quietly and nuzzled her all the while, "I'll love you forever Echo...and I'll never let go of it or you...I love you..." he licked her gently again. And as the light of the sun faded, the silent glow of the cream moon shaded them in almost complete darkness. Providing a veil over the two to hide them from the rest of the world. As they loved each other, and there hearts beat fast, and together as one.

After all was said and done, and Logan's onslaught of loving upon Echo was through, he curled himself around her protectively, keeping her close to him as he panted slightly and nuzzled her gently.

Once Logan had finished, Echo whimpered to him and pressed herself firmly against him, resting her head on his paws as she did so. She had never felt anything quite like that, and she wondered just what it was that had sparked that. It didn't really matter, though, not now.
Grumbling happily, she rolled onto her side and nosed his face slightly. Then she smiled and tried to n** at his ears while she pawed at his face playfully. The strange feeling before had faded by now, and she felt rather refreshed and renewed after what he had done. But she was also aware that it was growing late and that her sister might be asleep by now. If that were the case, then she'd have to get back to the den before her sister woke up and grew worried.
Whining slightly, as she didn't want to leave him, the female rolled to stand on her paws then nuzzled him gently. Afterwards she lifted her head and looked towards the forest, off towards where she shared the den with her twin.
Hopefully, Logan would understand that it was late and that she'd have to get back before Ophelia worried.

Logan watched Ehco and smiled at her as she playfully pawed and nipped at him. She seemed so happy, and he felt so happy, so...complete. He felt like there was a reason to live each day now, somehting he hadn't known and felt in a long time.
As she stood up he immediately knew what Echo was thinking; Ophelia. It was late now, if Ophelia was still wake, she;d be worried, if she woke up and Echo wasn't there, she'd be wrorried. He stood up and shook himself free of the sand that clinged somewhat to fur fur and smiled and padded to her side so he stood next to her,
"Time to bring you back I think...I don't think you want Ophelia to worry yes?" he asked as he nuzzled her and stepped one paw forward. "I'll take you back, but I won't be too far from both of you, remember?" he said, jsut in case she was worried he'd be far away. He'd stay close from now on, perhaps even make a makeshift den so he'd be closer to Echo.
He liked being close to Echo. He loved loving Echo for who she was.
"I'll walk you home Echo, I'll keep you safe," he said with a wag of his tail as he waited for her to start padding forward with him. They'd be sneaky...very sneaky.

Echo nodded at him, her tail swaying slightly. She was glad that he understood what she was thinking and that she needed to get back to her sister, but she didn't want to leave him. Even if he was close to her den, she still wouldn't be able to stay with him the whole night. She'd have to go into the den she shared with her sister until she could find the moment to tell Ophelia what had happened that night. Well, maybe she wouldn't tell her sister all of it, but at least the part where they learned they loved each other.
"I don't want Ophelia to worry, yes," she said, nodding. And suddenly she yipped and leaped forward. That was probably the first full sentence she had been able to say in a long while! Normally she put together bits and pieces from other's sentences, but this time she was actually able to make a good response. It thrilled her, and she only felt closer to him.
Wagging her tail quickly, she trotted forward a few feet, ready to be taken back. She was glad they had done what they had done tonight. It felt nice to know that there was someone out there, outside of her family, that truly cared about her.
"Keep safe," she whispered, nodding. Yes, he'd keep her safe from everything, she knew. There was no way that she could doubt him.
Turning back around, she faced towards her den again, her tail still swaying back and forth. She wondered how Ophelia would react...

Logan smiled and padded along with Echo, she seemed so happy, and spoke a full sentence. She seemed happy, nad he seemed to be able to pick just the right words if she wanted to sya something, which made him feel good. Like they had a conection, that their love made it easier for both of them to communicate with and without words.
He padded along as they reached the forest and started to weave between the trees. He smiled and his tail wagged as they kept going forward, their paws silent against the ground as if not to awake the smallest of creatures, or draw any attention to themselves.
Soon he picked up Ophelia's scent, it was strong, they were veyr close, and he stopped. He turned to Echo with a smile and nuzzled her cheek, "I think its best for you to stay with Ophelia tonight...so that, you cna tell her sometime. I'll come say it too if it will make it easier," he said giving her a lick. "I won't be too far, and I'll always be close with you..."
The sound of the water covered his voice pretty well, but now would be the hard part, saying good night and goodbye, but then he realized, he wouldn't have to say goodbye...this was only the beginning, "I love you Echo, sleep well," he said wagging his tail and nuzzling her again. He knew tonight, he'd probably get the best sleep of his life.
