SSS is bringing up alot of questions and changes. Could the puppeteer possibly be Kusanagi? But one question I haven't heard yet is, "Could it be Kuze?" If you remeber from the movie after the Major merged with the Puppet Master, and became a part of the Net, she could still hack, tap, and bypass all she wanted to. So it is possible for Kuze to be the puppeteer, if this adaptation of the story is following the same rules.
There have also been some serious changes in two years since Kusanagi quit Section 9. Like her hair style, and that of Togusa. Apparently, he has gotten rid of his mullet, and has since been leader.
"Buisiness in the front, party in the back," I had to put that because it's a really dumb quote about mullets. I have no idea about the origin of that awful quote.
And what is the Major's affiliation with SSS, exactly?
So many questions!! I can't wait for the movie. If I have any information wrong don't burn me hatefully, just say so.
Any updates on the date of release for SSS?

Hmm...interesting point. It could be Kuze, but in Second GIG, when Kuze and Motoko where trapped in that rubble, he said he planned for his ghost to sail free through the net, I don't think he had any plans of getting involved in anything else. (Of course I could be wrong, no one has seen the movie yet. x.x)
As for Togusa losing his mullet, Batou losing his pony tail, and Motoko growing her hair out, no one really knows the reason. But right now I'm just guessing it's their way of proving that things change over time. I don't know. >_< But I think Togusa's reason is, now that he has become the leader of Section 9, he has matured quite a bit.
Well it says in the storyline, since Motoko broke apart from Section 9, she has been wandering around Japan, possibly finding out information of her own. When Batou happens to stumble upon her she says: "Stay away from the Solid State Society." Maybe she meant it as a threat (meaning she is part of the SSS or she is the Puppeteer) or maybe she meant: 'This is my case, don't get involved.'

Yeah, Kuze didn't seem to have any intentions then, but maybe he changed his mind. All of this is speculation. I just thought it would make a decent topic. Something interesting everyone could chat about. I mean, we all want to know what happens in SSS, right?

Yeah, your right, who knows? I think this is a decent topic, discussing things is good for a change, and who knows? You could be right, Kuze could be the Puppeteer for all we know.

Oh man I remember that site!
Stormtrooper in japan killed me. I wish I could get that....
Anyways...
Some parts of that movie showed what looked like to be Motoko, but with shorter hair. I thought it looked like Kuze's hair.
[sarcasm]But wouldnt it be a tradgedy that along with her hair, Motoko's personality became more feminine[/sarcasm]

Her hair looked LONGER in the movie, you said SHORTER. Silly error. It looked like her net self's hair to me. Which I suppose is about the length of Kuze's.
I actually like Kusanagi's personality, it mirrors my own in many ways. So, I wouldn't change it. Some would prefer her to be perky, girly, or "damsel in distress-y" more often, and I respectfully disagree. I like her for who she is, not what she could be. But any character is only who we view them to be.
Anyways...
I'm making a thread for talk about the mullet of a certain member of the team, I believe it should be comical... domokun

Well yeah I know it was longer right at the end. Some parts just looked like there was Kuze with purple hair. Until the end.
But true, not like absolute damsel-in-distress. This would go along with Batou's suggestion to switch to a male body.
