my parents don't like it when i read manga. mainly because they judge books by the cover and they can't read it without getting a headache. blaugh xd

Jeez, that's sad. They should never judge a book by it's cover. Even though the cover can be misleading in some things, it may not be what you might be thinking it is.

They don't judge by cover, they judge by the first one-page drawing. Usually of a character in a sexy pose, even if it's not that kind of genre.

Heres a tip:If you have overprotective parents, seperate for a little while, go to a game store, ask for a bag, and tell them you got a game.(If you have a "conscience", buy a cheap game) ninja

My parents don't really care anymore. I think they're just slightly annoyed at the fact of my growing collection and how much money I'm spending. They sometimes kinda encourage me to read manhwa because they call relatives and friends to buy some volumes if they're coming to the US from Korea. I think they like the thought that I'm finally getting around to reading Korean and maybe adding a bit to my vocabulary.

my mom buys my manga i'll give her a list and she buys them. Sometimes she buys them for her self and tells me that i can read them but if i tear a page expect death. My dad just looks at them and gets confused trying to read them right-to-left.
