but i bow to Jennimac and fawN as to if this is real...got it from a friend of mine
I actually wouldn't know! I don't know Chinese, although Jenni took some in college (that's where she met her husband!) and she lived in China for a year. My mom would know best! (I showed her how to play word bump on her account yesterday, AND showed her her profile, and she could read that the characters on there said "Sky Dragon Love", so wheew at least Gaia has Chinese characters for profiles and not Japanese!) I'll see if I can point my mom to this thread!
Although from what I understand about Chinese, each character stands for a concept. If your name doesn't MEAN anything, like Butterfly or Jasmine (I'm assuming hers is the actual words for the flowers in Chinese, but it might not be), then they'll come up with your name by trying to find words for each syllable-sound in your name. And since there are so many Chinese words that sound similarly, they'll look at translations and find words that when put together, mean something meaningful. So like, Co-Ca Co-La (coca-cola) in Chinese, they picked words which translate into something like "tates good, makes you happy."
4laugh Here is Elizabeth:

Fawne:

(not sure why they put an e on the end)
And here's the first half of my actual middle name:

Autumn
Although I can't find the exact characters for the second half. It's Qiu-Xia, pronounced "Chew-Shya" and meaning Autumn Twilight or Autumn Dawn or Autumn Sunset or Autumn Sunrise (although none of the characters for those are the same as what I'm looking for) or more specificaly, Autumn Orange Clouds. But I can't find the characters for that.
I can't find the characters for Jade's middle name Qi-Hui (pron. Chi-Hwi) meaning Long Awaited Blessing, nor my mom's Kok-Heong (or Guo-Xiang in mandarin) meaning Country Fragrance. My sister's is Chun-Lian, for Spring Lotus, and her daughter's is Xia-He for Summer Lotus. (It's funny.. I'm Autumn and Ella is Summer, while HER birthday is 3 weeks AFTER mine in August!)
