A year ago Saturday (July 22nd), Malachite came into my Gaian life and has been charming the masses ever since. To celebrate, I am holding an RP Birthday Party event, set at the Kanth/Karlet mansion. The invitation is open to all [GCB] guardians and their kept, and all [GCB] staff and hopeful guardians (lurkers, etc.).
There will be games and their outcome will depend on dice rolls and random numbers, just to make things fair and interesting. wink There may or may not be prizes involved; the games are just for fun, afterall!
Whether you can or cannot attend, you are welcome to leave a quick birthday message and/or a small gift here in the thread. These messages will go into the "Guest Book."
Thank you very much! 4laugh

[Mansion Map & Description]  Adrian's view of the mansion. Enough said. >.>;
The mansion in which the Karlets reside has been carefully decorated for the occasion. Each of the rooms used for lounging or eating in have streamers running from wall to wall, and paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling (where the ceiling is low enough to hang them, that is; the exceptions are the library and the pool room).
If you know Malachite at all, you should be able to guess the color scheme of the decorations.
Say it with me, now.
Green, blue, and purple.
The driveway, lined with various green shrubberies, is long enough and wide enough accomidate any vehicles. Although there are a few sidedoors and backdoors into the mansion, it is expected that guests enter through the front door and into the Entrance Hall. Should you enter through the side door by the kitchen... well, you'll have to deal with Hana-chan's wrath, won't you?
As you step inside the entrance hall, front and center is a roped-off staircase that leads up to the bedrooms and other private chambers. To your right is the dining room. The bar on the left side of the dining room has been emptied and covered in black fabric. There are platters of all manner of unhealthy food stuffs and various table-top decorations set out upon it. There are also a couple bowls filled with flower boquets, which will be dealt with, later. In front of the bar are several coolers filled with ice and assorted cans of soda and iced tea.
In one corner of the room is a stereo, with stacks of CDs sitting on the table beside it, each one sporting the label: "Property of Kaleb. Steal and DIE!" In another corner, the house's baby grand piano has been moved in from the library for those who wish play. Do not bang on it, or your piano privilege will be revoked. Nearby is also the table for leaving any cards or presents you might have brought. If you didn't, that's fine. Just remember to at least sign the guest book in the entrance hall.
Next to the dining room is the kitchen, which is Hana's domain for the evening. Do not provoke the cook. The only ones allowed in the kitchen are those helping serve food. Do you really want to risk pissing off a moody tiger weilding a block of butcher knives? I didn't think so.
To the left of the front door is the parlor room -- more often refered to as the "front room," which is used for just about everything, but rarely has anything breakable or valuable. Anything expensive has been taken away and replaced with couches and chairs and decorations that can easily be replaced. The biggest attractions in this room are the TVs and assorted video game systems set up along the front wall. There are plenty of games to choose from and the Gamecube systems are easily set up for multiplayer use.
Next to the front room is the dojo, which has been locked. No one may enter this room under any circumstances.
Behind the staircase is the bathroom. Just be aware that are two doors, and that they are both locked while you're in there, and unlocked once you leave. As there may be a lot of people here, it is recommended to wash your hands frequently to prevent the spread of germs.
Past the dojo, bathroom, and kitchen is another hallway. To the right is the library. The room itself is small, but quite tall. The bookcases touch the ceiling, and the ladders that usually reach the top of them have been removed for everyone's safety and sanity. The windows have seats, and there is a plush couch and matching chair. In front of the windows is a space where the piano usually stands. The door to the library, as well as the great windows inside the room, have been left open, providing a nice breeze through the hallway.
To the left is the pool room, which is locked, for the time being. Children must be supervised in the pool room at all times. No one is available to serve as lifeguard, at the moment, but if you ask Soco, he might be talked into it. He and Adrian are the only ones with the key to the pool room. Guardians and adults who wish to use the pool should see them, and they'll let you in. There must be at least two people in the pool room at a time, and one person must be considered an "adult."
The room itself has a partial glass ceiling and glass walls. The pool isn't very long, so it isn't good for training future Gaia Olympians. However, it is good for cooling down in and for splashing around. There is a small shower and changing room, as well as a rack of fresh towels, available.
There are chairs and places to sit in the front hall for meeting and greeting. Everyone is free to come and go as they please, but we'd prefer they stay and mingle for as long as they can. Vandalism and other improper behavior will not be tolerated. Other than that, please make yourself at home, and have a good time.

[Karletians Galore] (Because 'Karletians' sounds so much cooler than 'Karlets')
Malachite - The Birthday GirlBoy HerHimself
Malachite currently upstairs, locked in his bedroom until someone goes up to get him and show him -- surprise! -- there's a party downstairs.
The party itself has been plotted and designed to be somewhat of a surprise for its guest of honor, and he has been instructed to stay in his room, listen to music, and not look out his windows or come downstairs for any reason.
 A. V. Karlet - as depicted by x_panda_alchemist_x
... Yes, Adrian often appears this way due to raising multiple kids, taking care of everone else in general, and never taking care of himself. He's the one running around the mansion, making sure that everything is perfect while you're here for the party.
 Rayen - Soco - Kaleb - Than - Hana
Rayen will be wandering about. He's not really going to be very handy; he's just there to look cute and fuzzy. (And what a fine job he does of it!)
Soco is acting as butler, maid, and servant, tonight, and will take care of any needs you may have. (... Well, almost any needs.)
Kaleb will be overseeing the entertainment and also making sure no one tries to get licks of icing off the cake. That's his and Rayen's job, dagnabbit.
Than is being shy and probably following Adrian around.
Hana is in the kitchen preparing fresh food. Don't you dare go in that kitchen, if you value your life. And when she's not in the kitchen, she's watching the food table so that nothing runs out.

[Game - #1] Pin the Tail on the... Tiger...? For this game, Kaleb was nice enough to draw a life-sized picture of a tiger (that looks suspiciously like our own Hana-chan, but don't mention that to her), but he left out one very important detail.
Each participant will be given a tail and blindfolded, spun around, and then sent in the direction of this picture to "Pin the Tail on the Tiger."
Simply use the "roll dice" post action to roll one six-sided die. If the participant rolls a one, then they get the tail on the tiger. Anything other than a one misses, but a two is close and a six is really far off.
For safety's sake, the tails will be attached with tape, so no one will get stuck by the pins (as much fun as that would be).
Those who get the tail on the tiger, or those who get the closest, will receive... flowers. 4laugh

[Game - #2]Piñata Time! Wikipedia The piñata is a bright candy-and-toy-filled container (generally suspended on a rope from a tree branch or ceiling) that is used during celebrations. A succession of blindfolded, stick-wielding children try to break the piñata in order to collect the candy inside of it. It has been used for hundreds of years to celebrate special occasions such as birthdays and Christmas.
Source The piñata game we'll be playing is a little different than the "traditional." Where we'll be having the games inside, it just wouldn't do to have people swining bats and things around in the crowded dining room. The piñata will be hung from a rope from the dining room ceiling. Hanging from the bottom of the decoration are twenty ribbons in various colors, and at the end of each ribbon is a piece of candy (that way, everyone gets something, you see).
One by one, starting with the "youngest" and ending with the "oldest," guests will approach the piñata, blindfolded, and pick a ribbon to pull. There is only one ribbon that will release the trap door for the goodies to spill out.
To play, each guest will roleplay going up to the pinata and pulling a ribbon. He or she is to set their post action to the "random number" feature. The random number will be the ribbon the guest pulls. The range will begin with 1 through 20, and decrease as each ribbon is pulled. For example, after the first person goes, the next person will generate a random number 1 through 19; the person after them, 1 through 18, and so on. No matter what the highest number is, the lowest needs to be 1.
Should there be an error or a glitch in your posting (maybe you didn't put the numbers in correctly, and put 2 through 21), go ahead and try your post again.
Should we get through the whole line of guests without pulling the correct ribbon, the line will start over again.
Should a guest's random number be #1, the piñata will open! I won't spoil the surprise by telling you what's inside... But when that ribbon is pulled, please do not immediately swarm around the lucky winner -- who will still be blindfolded and disoriented. Please wait for him or her to recover, and only then may you descend upon the goodies. >.>;
Piñata and "Pull Piñata" idea from http://www.pinatas.com/ The whole random number part of it? That was all me.

[Game - #3] Spin the Bottle! (Oh, hell no...) Oh, heck, yeah...
But unless the adults want to give it a go, the "spin the bottle" game will be cancelled. mrgreen It just wouldn't be right to have all those little girls corrupted, now, would it?

[Guest Book] The guestbook sits on a small table just inside the doorway of the main entrance. There are plenty of thick pages for guests to scribble on without fear that the ink will bleed through to the other side. A pen rests on the page that has yet to be signed. If you flip through the pages before it, you may see these messages.Quote: Mal; I can‘t believe how old you've gotten! I remember how small you used to be--you were such a cute kid. And now, you've grown up, still cute, but oh-so sexy too. wink Have a great day, kiddo, and may life give you wings so you can soar.
Love, Tsunake and crew. Quote: Malachite,
I remember the day I first met you, and shared with you my now tattered and overloved sheep plushie-- and it doesn't seem at all like i've known you so long. I guess we're all growing up too fast. Just being near you brightens my mood, and your happy go lucky attitude has helped me become more confident without even knowing it-- I hope you know how wonderful a person you are! Your one of the few people involved with my life, and I wouldn't trade your friendship for the world. I love ya, and Happy birthday!
♥ Aponi Quote: Hey Kid~ Congrats at not being shoved off to some strangers place like that other brat kid.... and for having the misfortune of making it to your birthday. Make sure to get royally smashed or I'll have to break your legs. -just kiddin! -Dt .... oh, and here's ten dollars for the window. Quote: Mal - it seems only yesterday that you were the skittish little shock of bright green hair, but look how you've grown! It's been a privilege to watch you grow into the wonderful boy I know today, but you've still got some growing to do yet, and I'm sure you'll become greater still.
A very happy birthday to you!
Smexy ~Mako and Lucavi Quote: i know i haven't seen you much and my boy here ain't even met you but happy birthday anyways and i'm sure i'll get you drunk by nights end ^_^
