Obviously people on gaia don't user their real names. Most use names based off anime, or game characters, some of us don't. For those of us that don't, reveal where you got your username from.
My username came from wanting a unique name I could use for whatever. A gamertag if you will. If someone heard that name, they thought of me. So I pondered. At one point I was watching Witch Hunter Robin on [as] and I thought I heard one of the characters being called "Gunn"(later I found out I just hadn't been paying enough attention, and misheard). I thought Gunn would be a good name, but it'd be used quite a bit. As a surname it would work well. I went to work on thinking up a unique first name for my internet persona, and somehow came up with the name "Vieras" however I was thinking more of the pronunciation Veras at the time. Rather than confuse people, I used Veras. Thusly the name Veras Gunn came into being. I use if for just about anything now. Do a Google search for "Veras Gunn", and every result you get will be tied to me.

When I was making my name, I was thinking 'Hmm...I want a name with no numbers...'. I choose to use Sailor Moon's name (unfortunately, it was already used by someone who left the site after one day) but Super Sailor Moon wasn't taken.
After my account was banned, I looked for another anime character without numbers and seeing how I recently watched Grenadier, I went with Rusyuna Tendou.

I originally wanted to be El Cid or Syd (Syd Barret mind you), but some lass or lad took it. So I used my first name 'Chester' and chucked Sydel on it. Name stuck, but I still want to be El Syd/Cid...

The year is 1999, as a wee lad I was searching for cheats for my SNES and GameBoy games. I came across GameWinners and in teh GameBoy section I saw a link to a thread about Link's Awakening glitches. Knwoing a few myself I thought I'd contribute. As I only intended to post once, I only needed a simple name, this is when I used BGBW, which is just my initials. I've kept using it because I ended up being a regular on the GameWinner forums. WHen someone asked me to join their forum, I wanted them to know who I was, so I kept to my simple user name, and I just kept using it, as it was unique so chances are nobody else would have it.
To those who don't want to read much;
BGBW = my initials.

It's a pun on the whole "Ultimate Super Soldier" thing. Because in the gaming world, "Warrior" is usually someone very powerful. And "elite" is a very obnoxious way of saying uber or 1337. So by adding them together, I come out as an obnoxious person who thinks he's powerful.
Pisses people off, to be short. All my usernames are some deviation of "Elite" placed behind another word; most of which make no sense.

I wanted too use a name from my favorite game. Considering that most names of the main characters weir probably taken I tried important NPC characters. I liked the name Zeal and it was from my favorite time pewriod so I used it. But then I got tired of the Brackets and changed it too Queen Zeal. So thats how the name for this account came to be. My persona name for all other sites is Spekkio. Always Spekkio if it isn't used. I think that name fits me more so... I consider changing my username again. xd

People ask me all the time what EC means, so I've pretty much memorized the answer.
EC was an old role playing character of mine. Back in the day when me and my best friend used to make sprite comics and crazy stories using characters based off ourselves. My character was EC, which doesn't really stand for anything. I kind of just made it up without it standing for anything. It was also the name of my sprite comic character, and pretty much became my online identity that I used for almost everything. Since EC was to short to use on forms, I just thought of a random cool word at the time to tack on there. That word was Unlimited. So there you go.
My old username, EC_Maya, was just EC...then the name Maya, which was another RP character of mine. A girl, to be specific. I like the word Maya, and I had recently studied the Mayan culture in school.

I recently took to naming my characters and screen names after German WWII weapons and machines.
A Flakpanzer is exactly what it sounds like, if you know minimal WWII machinery. A flak gun is an AA cannon that often came into use as a field gun, and panzer is the general term referring to German tanks. It means "armor" in German.
Faust is from Panzerfaust, a German anti-armor weapon, the German equivalent of the bazooka. It was actually one of the most ingenious weapons of the war, and was intended to kill the crew sooner than destroy the vehicle. When it hit it's target, it exploded, but also fired a large metal rod into the cockpit, which bounced around inside, often killing the crew and leaving the tank itself intact.

I have gone trough many name changes in my two year stay on Gaia. Past names have include:
Knightfire [Harvester] [Of] [Sorrow] Eternal Knightmare The Eternal
Pretty much, I thought they sounded cool. That's pretty much the premise.

my name requires a slight history lesson in relation to Anime
when Vampire Hunter D was first released they mistranslated "Dunpeal" and "Dhampir"
my name is a romanized version of "dhampir" resulting in "Dampylle" which ironically is closer to the true translation of "Dunpeal"
and the reason for it all.... VHD is among my favorite anime and novel series, adn Amano is among my favorite Artists

I've had three names here...
The first I don't actually remember, that goes to show how noticable it was...
Anyways, Bunny--man comes from a stunt I did my sophomore year. I went to school dressed in a Pink Bunny outfit. The stunt caused quite a stir as I expected it would. As I would soon find out, every administrator was out looking for me, they made announcments to locate me, sent an email to every teacher, along with a $20 reward. I made it through half of the school day before an administrator caught me. They marched me into the office and people congratulated him by saying "You caught the Bunny-man!". Very few new it was me in the costume, so from then on it was referred too as The Ogden High Bunny-man.
I quickly made a comic character out of it, and added a hyphan because two is better than one.
As for Shaun the Bunny, I got a 14 day ban, and got Shaun from my favorite movie (bet you can't guess which one), and I added Bunny to make myself a little reconizable.

It was a Friday night, back in 19-something. Me and my brothers were playing a wrestling game, where we made our own characters and had to make up names for them. They had names like "Outlaw", and "Unknown". I chose "Darkness". And ever since, I've been using it in everything. So here on Gaia, this one is Final Darkness (well, Omega now.)
I also got a little creative, and made up a new name if all else fails, De Espirit (which is usually pronounced wrong). I also noticed something something scary about this name. Even though it's completely made up, it's really similar to the word dispirit, which means to lower one's spirits and hopes.
