It was a nice day to visit her park. This was what she had decided as she stood upon the terrace of her (and her guardian's) apartment at the early hours of the morning, when the sun was just beginning to peek over the top of the tall buildings. Noelle was a plant by nature, to be sure. A sunny day with little to no clouds out was an opportune time for her to be outside.

She had been going for a more frilly look today, as the park was no place to be skin-tight at. A white, fashionably rumpled dress clung to her chest by means of a thin pair of straps. Thick enough, mind you, to hide her bra. Beneath her ribs, the fabric ceased to rumple and simply gave way to free-flowing fabric that cut off beneath the knees. It was a sun-dress, and she particularly liked it, as well as her other outfits.

A set of emerald-colored fingers stroked the soft fabric idly before she crossed one leg over the other in a lady-like fashion. A matching pair of white, flat soled sandals were on her feet. Apparently she had been planning to go running or something. Heels would just not do in all this grass and dirt. Hm.. It was a nice day indeed.

For a while, Noelle was content, watching the ducks that glided about on the smooth surface of the pond just ahead while she herself remained stationary on her bench. Just a note of command from her would send the earth rippling, and surprise the ducks into a tither. Chaos. She was particularly fond of that too. She licked her lips gingerly before she parted them quietly, just waiting until that little boy leaned over the pond a little farther so she could...

Trouble. That's precisely what it was. Raising a child was no small easy feat, and already she'd lost several arguments to hers. Ronnie walked a few paces behind Dierdre as they made their way to the park. She had battered jeans on and a simple black tank top. And since she'd chosen to wear this outfit, Dierdre would have nothing to do with her and acted like she had no idea why this strange woman was following her.

The park was peaceful and calm, beautiful really. Serene. It didn't seem to fit her child, but she didn't see why the fae couldn't appreciate it, if not live it. They'd go a few times around the pond and call it a day.

Dierdre, fresh in her newest waste of Ronnie's money, was entirely pleased with herself. The cream colored pants suited her well, as did the red silk sleeveless blouse. She'd had to whine a bit to get her guardian to give into the price of the silk, but it had been worth it. She enjoyed the steady clunk of the black mary-janes on her feet against the sidewalk.

Risking a glance over her shoulder, she saw that Ronnie was catching up on her. In a sly whisper she hissed, "I'll be thanking you not to be so close, before your bad sense rubs off on me." Immediatly the woman slowed her pace and Dierdre went back to admiring the enviroment of the park.

There were a few ducks on the pond and boy reaching for them. He'd never catch them of course but it was amusing to think of him trying to. Wanting to see the ducks a little closer herself, she ambled a bit nearer to the water. It was then that she spoted the woman on the bench. Green skinned and red haired. It was obvious, even to Dierdre's un trained eye, that this was another fae. Pausing, and making sure Ronnie stopped far enough behind her, she took a moment to examine the older fae.

She had begun to call for the earth when she suddenly felt the hair upon her neck stand. It was the intuition of an animal, not a woman, that she because aware of eyes on her. Not good. If she displayed her power to the public, she had a feeling she'd be in deep trouble. The sound died on her lips, and she closed them. The visible, crimson eye slid over the terrain, trying to pick up on who was watching her.

Unlike Deirdre, her eye was rather good at pointing out others of her species. The child had blue hair, and red eyes- all abnormal traits. And then there were the tell-tale long ears she had never known a fae to be without. The girl was staring openly at her, she noted, and inwardly scoffed. Untrained. This one had to be very young or without the slyness to use peripheral vision.

It was forgiven to a point, though. Noelle liked to be admired. This child no doubt knew what she was, as her eyes remained. Or maybe the girl was just amazed by her green skin. Whichever. Noelle connected their gazes, for she had appeared to be staring straight ahead up until now. The teenager straightened gracefully in her seat, lifting her chin so she was looking down at the girl. A smirk flickered in her mind, but she only allowed the most secretive of smiles to grace her lips. Well, little girl, are you going to sit there and gawk or approach?

Curious. The older fae made Dierdre's mind click. So, it'd be a contest you're after then? She thought to herself. Testing the waters, the younger fae tipped her head ever so slightly in a nod of acknowledgement. She'd been told several times by Ronnie that she should 'respect her elders', but this girl didn't look all too much older, well, at least not as old as Ronnie. And she barely respected her.

It had to be said, this fae dressed herself impecably though. The pretty sundress was beautiful and it made Dierdre think of how nice it would be to badger Ronnie into buying one for her, in a different color of course. It was definitly something she approved of and made the fae step up few rungs on the ladder of admiring. Top of which belonged to herself.

Checking one last time over her shoulder to see if Ronnie was too close, she began to approach the older fae at a relaxed pace. A few paces away she gave another tip of the head in greeting and spoke, "A good morning to you, fellow fae." She cocked her head slightly up and to the right like she'd practiced in the mirror at home; she knew that it was the best look to show off her cheekbones.

Noelle observed her from half-hooded eyes, so as to hide the malice and amusement glimmering behind them. Who could this be? The may not have seemed too far apart in age, but with Dierdre's power laying dormant there was a world of difference between them. It was never her nature to act too rudely to a potential follower, though, so the teen swallowed her urge to ripple the earth and focused her intentions instead to the girl in front of her.

"It is a nice enough morning," She purred in the more sultry, feminine tone she had practiced around the house for a few weeks now. "In my park. Usually, fae don't come here unless they're invited. You must be fresh."

She kept her smile, while allowing her visible red eye to brush down the girl's expanse in a once-over. Quite tall. She was never that tall as a child... but she had had more hair. Her guttural instinct wondered if the girl could fight were she to be pounced now, but her new and sophisticated mind took in the early sense of fashion with some intrigue. Not that she let it go. Her expression was a welcoming one... but nonchalant to the girl's vain charms.

"My name is Noelle. By what will I address you?" Her eyes slid away slowly as if disinterested, though she was fully alert to the girl. "Is that yours?" She asked in a sneering tone, yet the actual expression never touched her features. With a small nod of her head, she indicated Ronnie.

Her park was it? It didn't take a genius to figure out that the fae believed she was in charge here. Well, I can play this game too. Though, she hadn't had much experience at life yet, Dierdre decided it was a good a time as any to practice her social skills. "I'd be Dierdre. Tis a pleasure to meet you Noelle." Her irish came out a bit thicker than normal. But Dierdre had come to think of it as her unique trait.

It was there, the nagging feeling that this conversation could end up in ruin. They were testing each other it seemed, and Dierdre had no intention of backing down. Glancing over her shoulder, she sent one disdainful look at Ronnie. "Sure, and she'd be my guardian. Bit of a trollop when it comes to dressing herself really."

But she's my guardian... Dierdre thought to herself, feeling rather disloyal. Still, the fae looked back at Noelle through garnet colored eyes. "Do you often find yourself here in the mornings?" It would be good information to have either way this confrontation worked out.
