Mission 3 (part 4)

The next morning was rough. I had to figure out the stuff about this guys, I think, murder. The horses were still asleep when I woke up. I made sure they were asleep when i went in for the log and to search for more stuff.

The dusty ol' cabin was a pretty calm place. I felt its serenity and dust bunnies. This guy kept his stuff pretty neat, I looked in his closet. He arranged stuff so it'd give him more time to do work. I was lurking around the cabin when suddenly I found another bedroom. This guy couldn't be alone. I checked this other persons closet and it was full of guy stuff. So I'm guessing that this other guy was his son. I searched around for a diary but none turned up. He was more of a loves-horses-only kinda person. He had nothing else in his room except hay and clothes and reins and saddles but there was nothing there that a teenager would want to do.

There was something odd about that room. It had markings on the walls that looked like horses running. Each faced a different direction on each wall. If I followed to where it points, it leads to the corner of the room, where the bed was. So I went towards the bed and suddenly, a big thump on the floor was behind me.

"ARGH?!"

I spooked and tripped on a board. It was mustang?! He jumped me. I chased him round the stables and then went back into the room. He followed too of course. We were heading for the bed and we checked under it. It was pretty dusty and so I had to step back and ask mustang to stomp on the floor a couple of times. The dust kinda faded and I was able to get a glimps of a kinda metal object. I couldn't reach it so I had to move the bed.

I tugged the bed hard and the cabin shook. It seemed to be attached to the cabin. I tied a rope to mustang and asked him to help me pull it. He tried so hard to pull the bed but the bed just wouldn't move. Just then, lightning woke up. He neighed his morning neigh and troted over to me. He gave me a nudge and decided to help me. I had no idea what to expect aince mustang couldn't even do it. But then, I gave the signal and lightning just easily pulled the bed out. I wasn't so shocked but mustang was. That was another clue to the mystery.

So I went to the metal object and saw a handle. The handle was gold in colour and it seemed to be the handle of a trap door leading underground. I tugged it, and I think we all know what happened. I couldn't pull it open. So I let lightning try again. He was able to pull it open with ease. Embarassed, I pulled it fully open.

Unfortunately, it wasn't an underground tunnel, instead, it was just a small conpartment where the guy put some stuff. I took a closer look at the stuff and I saw a rusty old saxaphone. It was all dusty but looked like it was still in good condition.

I tried to play it but it seemed to be stuck. I blew even harder when a note flew out. I thought about it and opened the note. It read
To whomever finds this,
A man has come into the stables and asked about my father. I was in here when the workers told the man where father was. He was in black robes and I didn't see his face. Father was playing his sax with Pelar when the man stabbed him with his blade. Pelar was we nervous and he kept neighing and kicking about. He was able to kick the man once with his steel boots but the man was tough. The man then killed Pelar cause he was making a scene. He then took off towards the gates.
Then it ended. It was clear to see that the horse equipment was haunted. I suddenly realised that lightning was not by me anymore. I freaked out, where was he? Mustang and I tried to look for him all around the cabin. Then we heard a noise or music, a saxaphone played music. It was very soothing and it calmed us down a bit. A minute later I snapped out of it and followed the music. I came to the stall and lightning was putting on the equipment. So if he wore the equipment, we all could hear it.

He was very depressed in the suit so I quickly removed it. Just as I removed it, he stumbled down. He was in a lot of mental pain. He couldn't take the deaths of people so he broke down in slumber. Some where some how, I think the ghost of the man and the changling are still there.

Mission 3 (part 5)
March, 23, 04

Difficulty sleeping was my problem. Too worried about lightning. I watched over him that night with no sleep at all. He was sweating and I had to keep him cool. I made mustang go to sleep for he needs rest, all horses do.

The fire was placed further away from lightning everyonce in a while then brought back so he wouldn't over freeze. His condition scared me, his fever didn't go down by a little. The next morning on the other hand was starting to give me hope. He woke up, and seemed to not remember anything but somehow I knew he was trying to make me stop worrying.

His fever didn't slow him down a little. He just stood up and went to listen to the horse equipment music. He really seemed to not want to worry me but once in a while I can get a glimps of him getting spooked about the music.

He started getting less attracted to the music by afternoon time. He started getting closer to me. Hanging out you know. Thats when I really started to notice the horn more. It was pretty short and I could barely be seen but when I go near it, I get some kinda nice feeling inside, very comforting and warm.

So I went back to try and figure put some of the stuff. Now I know that the father, or the master of the stables, was killed before he planned to commit suicide and his son saw the while thing. For all I know, the son might just be the apprentice of this killer. I mean, whats up with this mystery? Theres no more mystery to it but it seems to keep calling back to me to investigate more. What else could possibly be found? We know who the murderer is, and we can't avenge this guy cause the killer is probably rotting right now. Theres something else, something about the equipment and lightning and changlings that I have yet to unlock.

So I thought about it and skimmed through what I've done when I suddenly remembered that lightning's possesion was incomplete when he tried out the armour and equipment. I knew that to unlock this solemn secret, I had to make lightning wear it and it was most definitely easy to do that. What was bothering me was the over powering spirit of this other changling, Pelar I presume.

It was for me to decide tonight and make a decision tomorrow. Let the gods guide me through my dreams to do the right thing.

Mission 3 (part 6)
March, 26, 04

I didn't sleep too good that night either. I couldn't help it, it was just to difficult to sleep. The scene of lightning struggling to gain control over his own body was too much to bear for me. It sorta felt like I was in that suit.

So morning took no time in coming. Just as I thought about making a decision, the sun came up and lit up the stable. Even the day is trying to rush me. So I knew what to do. But I wouldn't break it to them till we had breakfast. Its been 2 days since we had breakfast together properly. We ate the baked beans as it soon became very very disgusting.

So afternoon came and I decided to break it to them. Lightning was so thinking I would send him to wear the suit, but I just could't do it. Too soft they might call me, but no one can make me softer than my horses. Lightning was very relieved and he kept nudging me a lot. He nudged me very happily and I thought that he thought he might just be the happiest horse in the world for that moment.

We then packed up to leave for the next extrodinary chamber. The mystery has been left behind to haunt the stables and the stables alone. Mustang had a creepy feeling about leaving something that is seeking revenge unsolved. But I thought its the best thing to do. No one will get harmed this way. No one and no one at all.

Just as we were about to exit that stable gates, we all heard a sort of neighing in the background behind us. As we looked back, we saw a bloody horse, and we could see its flesh on its first left leg. It had demonic eyes and he was definitely pissed off. I was guessing Pelar when it just swept right through me.

The haunted spirit of this horse was tremendously terrifying. The cold flesh of Pelar touched me roughly but in a certain soft manner. I know it doesn't make sence but thats what I felt. So I dropped to my knees and tried to breath. I caught a breath in a while and lightning got mad.

"It isn't worth it,"

I kept tellnig lightning but he wouldn't listen. He started chasing after the flying spirit. He was so fast. The fastest I've ever seen a horse run. Even mustang could run that fast. In a minute, lightning was just under the spirit. The spirit caught sight of him and started decending a stagnent speed.

As the spirit got closer, lightning's horn grew brighter. The rumours ad stories just might be true, maybe unicorn horns are holy and even the darkest of spirits couldn't defeat a uni. Well right then, lightning's life depended on half of it. He isn't fully grown yet and he is too little to take on an over-sized used to be changling that is terrifying and bloody and cold. * man I'm exagerating*

Lightning's horn got a very bright colour and it started shooting out light at Pelar. I felt that it wasn't right to hurt an already dead horse but if we didn't we couldn't get out of this castle alive. Pelar was doing a good job at dodging the light blasts but he got a few shots to his neck and his body. A good thing too. The blasts were strong enough to send him flying a few feet out of control.

Lightning got a few shots of dark balls a couple of times too but he didn't really get hit. When a ball came a feet from him, a force field seemed to be created around him. But just for a glimps second. I could barely see it, to know if its real or not. Then I found out, it wasn't true. Lightning got a 5th blast on his upper neck and stumbled, rolling into a stall.

Shocked, I ran to his side. Mustang was assigned to stay away from the stables, out of the stables if possible. But he is as stubborn as lightning was and just waited as close as possible from the gates. Lightning wasn't hurt bad, just a few bruises from the planks. There was no wound on the neck when i checked. It was totally normal. It didn't bruise, cut, bleed or got hurt for the least. And I could have sworn that the ball hit lightning. Pelar didn't want to hurt lightning at all. He just wanted lightning to stop.

Pelar vanished into a stable wall and I grabbed the chance of getting lighnting outta there, He was still quite a foal so he was light enough for me to carry him. His feet got dragged though cause I wasn't tall enough. When we were just there, Pelar gave a shriek and charged at lightning and myself. Lightning saw him and just jumped up from my piggy back grip.

While on his hind legs, he gave a loud neigh and his horn glowed up immediately. The bright light slowed Pelar down a bit and when Pelar was just about 10 feet away, Lightning fired a bright bolt of light. Pelar showed no fear for his death. Instead, he gave his loudest neigh and took the blast.

It was very bright in the stable. Pelar was breaking up, like tearing into pieces. His skin ripped off him slowly. His red demon eyes were just pealing off too. But it wasn't that horrifing, cause when he was totally pealed, we saw the true Pelar, the changling horse of the stable. Pelar got up on his hind legs and neighed loudly. He knew it as time to cross over, to see his master in so many years. In his mouth there was a picture. I had no idea how he had it through the neighing but he had it. He just troted slowly towards lightning and the glow started to grow brighter than usual even when he faced enemies. I couldn't see to clearly but it seemed that Pelar gave something to lightning as a token of his gratitude.

Just as lighning's glow started fading, we heard a voice callngi Pelar. It must be his old master. So Pelar ran through his stall and just vanished. Lightning limped over to me and gave me the token, it wasn't valuable to us but it was very much valuable to Pelar. It was his masters picture. It was so pure that lightnings horn glowed again and grew a bit longer. He was happy with the results of his actions. It was nothing a coward would have done and I told him that. He got a picture and a longer horn and I think i just might have helped him be a bit braver.

Mission 3 (part 7)
March, 28,04

We're off to the next chamber of this castle, right after the stables. I had the option of finishing my mission but I guess to me that I haven't gotten an item yet, just a souvinier. I planned on getting something really good and benefitial for lightning. I had no idea where I was going though.

The stable gates creaked as we left as if blown by the wind. There shouldn't be wind in here but there was. And the wind stinked bad. We followed the wind, which I now believe that its morning breath, till we came to a long hallway. Kinda like the first hallway, but different. There were still doorways on the sides and creepy things near the doorways too only that this hallway was smaller. Slightly narrower from the last.

So we passed the hallway and we went into this big area where there were no ceilings and there were skeletons and corpses. In the middle of this big area, we saw a container, about twice the size of lightnings head and mustang's. And inside, there was an egg. This egg, was giving out jolts of electricity, the container I suppose was to keep the egg from sending unwanted jolts of electricity around this place. Who knows, this place might now be sturdy anymore.

But what troubled me is the fact that there are creatures that know how to use complex techology. I mean, if I put a big plastic cup on this egg, the egg will explode or it might not grow too well. But the creature that put this container on the egg seems to know a lot about science and it has a pocket full of dough enough to buy equipment for this. The creature containing this poor egg is starting to creep me out. I suddenly thought of the jurassic park's raptors. Just to think, raptors working in a lab civilised among one another and suddeny turn beserk on a human or another source of meat.

I didn't feel safe anymore, so I turned back to the stables. When we were close enough to see the gates, there were no open gates for us no more. They've just closed. The bad morning breath has subsided and now, its either I camp here or get out as fast as I can. Then, I thought. If I did discover some kinda creature that can learn science and manouver the science productivity I might be ablle to release the egg without hurting anything or anyone.

I knew it was too risky for us to camp on the ground so we had to get onto higher ground. There were some places that I could go to, but it'd be pretty hard for me to carry anyone of them up here. Pullies would be useful but I couldn't attach it anywhere. Then, I remembered the big hole in the roof. Lightning could give me a big giant toss by kicking me up there then I could put a pullie at the end of the roof and swing lightning and mustang into the what seems to be a balcony and the only way to get up there is to climb.

Mission 3 (part 8 )
March, 29, 04

So night came slowly into the lab, and then we heard foot steps coming in from the exit. When I peeked down, I saw something that totally took me by suprise. They weren't creatures, they were humans, at least I thought they were. They had all the limbs a human had, they were just missing something. I didn't know yet but I had a feeling I was going to find out.

The men brought back 3 deers. 3 very bloody deers, lightning and mustang had to turn away. They were all mangled up in a terrifying position. Then as the men ate their prey, I knew what they lacked. They lacked a whole set of humanity. No human would eat their prey alive nor mangle it up so bad. They chewed right through the flesh to the bone.

As lightning, mustang and I keep from throwing up, the orcs, kinda like orcs, finished their dinner and headed for the machinery. Suddenly an orc started sniffing the air, frantically, he called his other orc friends. They then looked up to us. Bad move to keep my head out. They saw me and got their weapons. They had their spears and were immediately tossing them up to us.

They had very poor shot I realised almost immediately. Lighning found a way down. Very spirally but a way down none the less. So we all followed him, while I got the baggage. The orcs were still throwing their spears but now one of them got a crossbow. Which was so much bad news. Now with their crossbows, they almost got me sometimes.

So finally sanctuary was almost growing thin when I just reached the ground floor of the spirals. They were waiting for us down there when lightning gained his extodinary speed and launched into them. They got hit in the head and most of them grew un-concious. Mustang and lightning were beating up some orcs when I got to the head of the orcs. He looks most mage like. To my suprise, he talks. I asked him to release the egg. The experiment is stunting its growth and that it was suffering. He replied,

"We'll just have to see about that,"

I got mad and ramed him into the container. The electricity of the egg was smaller then static. It didn't hurt nobody so I got the egg and whistled for lightning and mustang. They came along in a dash and made just jumped onto the speeding lightning. I couldn't recall that scene so good so I can't explain a lot.

But without turning back, we rode off into the next chamber.

Mission 3 (part 9)
April, 1, 04

Boy, some April Fools day I'm having. No pranks being pulled on me, no people to pull pranks on. It was kinda sad. But I got an egg and I got a picture of a great horse and his owner. The next chamber wasn't as exciting as I should've been. But instead, much more challenging. It was kinda weird, actually, very weird. I had stairs upside down and I have no idea how to climb that kinda stairs. At the end of the chanber, we could see an opening. A door with light shining in. Every part of the chamber was blocked except a stair way that leads upwards.

So we took the stairs upwards into the top floor where Lightning was getting kinda anxious. He was nervous and kept looking downwards every minute or so. The maze was then getting clearer as we had a whole view of the maze. There was a slide that leads to the main maze but it was steep, so I decided to go tobaggoning. We found an old sheild nearby and I put Lightning on it. He was small enough to fit in the sheild so I pushed him down. He made a good slide and landed most perfectly.

Mustang was too big for any other shield I could find so he and I ran down together. Lightning was all the way at the start of the maze already. He had that adrenalin rush thing. He just picked left and started off without us. I had to chase him from behind and mustang had no difficulty catching up. I have no idea what got into lightning, he should be all slow after two battles but this foal is not that kinda foal I guess.

At a T-junction, lightning made a right and went into a booby trap, he fell into a trap door. I yelled after him when suddenly, a man in puffed out of smoke on the trap door.

" Do not follow this foal for if you do, you shall die with him. You shall either fall to your death, or starve to death or get eaten by the monsters that lurk the very depts to this chamber."

I replied, "Then so I shall die with him for it is of my fault that he has plunged into this trap door. We've found our way out of many situations and I believe that this will be no harder."

"So be it human, plung you shall to your grave."

He just disappeared from the same smoke and the smoke cleared to reveal the trap door. I almost jumped when I remembered mustang. I took a glance at him and he pushed me down, following me soon after. It was a great but trying roller coaster ride. It didn't smell too good either. When we were, what I think was the bottom, it was a great bright light that shone from the depts of the dungeon.

When I reached the bottom, the speed from my decend sent me flying and rolling for some feet ahead. When I dusted myself off to see the shining light, it was the man, from before who puffed up from the smoke. The guy who warned me not to come here, is here. He was brushing lightning and lighnting was very comfortable with him doing that. I was suprised yet relieved. I didn't know what the relieved part meant but I was soon to find out.

"I warned you not to come but you came in anyways, with no fear nor distractions. The only distraction was of others around you. You worry for the people or in this case, horse around you. You put others before you and therefore I am to reward you for this act of courageousness without neglecting others. You shall be rewarded this mask for unicorns, this headgear enables more defence for lighting while increasing attack power. However, this only will enable you to attack threats. That is its one weakness."



I replied, "Thank you, but it has no weakness, the only time where we shall go in battle is onyl for threats, it shall be used most properly, I assure you."

"Very well, that is a good answer, I shall now lead you to the exit,"

Lightning seemed to understand the conversation and troted towards me. He had a now relaxed and calmed face, with that, he nudged me his loving nudge. I hugged him back when the guy motioned for us to go.

He leaded us through some skeletal graveyards when he said, "I wasn't bluffing about the monsters." Which got us all shaken up. When we went pass the creepy graveyard, we saw the same light that was at the door. We thanked the guy as we made our way out. He waved back as we left as well.

Now we were free of the castle, the stinky graveyard, the big maze, the orcs, and the scary horse stables. We've completed the mission for some castle stuff.

Mission 1
April, 4, 04

Just as we were coming home from the castle, lightning felt a strange vibe about the stables, he could quite identify it but it didn't seem to be a threat. I started noticing that lightning has gotten all braver since the castle events. Fighting orcs and ghosts might just do it.

So we were forced to approach the house with extreme caution. Lightning, taking small short steps while looking around, opened the stable gates. The creaking sound started in the gates, which also means that I have to oil it. Lightning started sniffing around and was all depressed when he realised that he couldn't sniff like a dog....... stare

Then, out of the manger, a little unicorn poped its head out. It had a blue mane and a normal sized horn. Lightning was shocked to see the little critter that he had never seen before. The uni came out of the manger and it sprouted its wings. Then I knew I that it was an allicorn not a uni. So the leason for today is : don't jump to conclusions......

So the little uni started over to lightning and stared up at him. Lightning did the same. They were staring at each other for sometime when the little allicorn, that I now call "Posiden", sneezed into lightning's face.

Lightning jumped back in suprise at this unidentified slimey object all over his muzzle. Mustang and I laughed hard and I just walked over to wipe it off. Posiden came to lightning to apologize and lightning seemed to accept it when posiden was rubbing himself on lightning's warm leg. It had a cold and lightning's leg was the only thing closest to it thats warm. So that night, posiden took refuge in lightning's stall which I plan on seperating into two or making another stall beside the current lighnting's stall for posiden. Wow its confusing I know but you'll see it clearer when I re-draw the stable.

Lightning wasn't very happy with his stall anymore. He didn't like the picture of the white uni I drew for him anymore so he ripped it out and spit it out the window. I was planning on drawing another one sometime later but not tonight.

End of Mission 1

April, 4, 04

Lightning ripped out the old picture I drew of a white and grey uni and he's bugging me to get a new one. I have no idea what to colour or draw so I turned to him to pick the colours. He didn't seem to care what colour it was just as long as I did it and he liked it.

As I look around the stable for inspiration, my eye caught sight of mustang with the new egg we brought home. The egg didn't do too good with water, mustang finally realised it after being shocked 7 times.

So I closed my windows and worked on the painting in my room with some light. Lightning knew I was working on it so he played with posiden very close to my room. I went out a few times to cook dinner and lunch but I always locked the door when I was out. I barely was out of the room and when I was in, the painting was my priority.

After a day, I finished the painting. It was of an electric uni with yellow manes and tail and it had a thunder bolt tattoo on its butt. Lightning was astonished and basically blown away with the picture. He grew all soggy and had totally grown on the picture. When I taped it to his stall, he would stare at it for hours and barely play with posiden and mustang. After a day or two, he grew out of it and started playing again. But he never failed to stare at it once in a while.

Today didn't go as well as I had hoped. There was nothing interesting to do, but watch the electric egg. All of us, lightning, mustang, posiden and myself were watching the egg. We were so hoping it would hatch soon but it just didn't. Guess that the containing really stunned its growth. It still gave out jolts of electricity once in a while.

There didn't seemed to be anything to do. The market was just as boring and all the running around made me very tired, but it was good exercise for the horses. When all hope of fun seemed to end, I remembered to do my homework. ( please don't ask when or where I go to school cause *I don't even know*) So I had this Socials homework and I had to draw a seigneury of New France. So I basically got the idea of stuff from my other notes that I managed to remember to take from my teacher. There were pictures of many buildings and tipical seigneuries. I couldn't help but try to draw as best of my ability as possible. *I love to draw sometimes when I'm free*

So I drew and drew for sometime when I just realised that I drew a very good imitation of a village town or in this case, seigneury. I drew a stable and a manor and a church and homes and many other farm stuff. Just as the horses and I were staring at the miracle, I got an idea to rip this place down and rebuild it. We do need the space cause more horses are definitely coming, and we could use some space for the to-come electric nuzuryn and Posiden.

Lightning and I decided that it was a splendid idea, mustang and posiden, not caring so much just nodded in agreement to majority. So I had the picture all drawn out already and now the final touch was to build it up.

We all had to take a trip to the market again so we packed lightning and mustang with cushions so that the equipment and material we're getting won't hurt the horses. A few pieces of cloth was good enough for both of them.

This would be our second trip to the market today and so we tried to retrace our steps to the market like how we did the last time we went. Every step we took was the same as we did the last time. It was so much fun. Looking at each other trip all the time. Somehow it seemed hard to retrace every step.

So we finally arrived at the market. Suprisingly, everything seemed the same like it did earlier today. As if everything were replayed back. Lightning was kinda freaky about it, but he was able to control himself, which I totally praised by the way.

We made our way through the crowd till we reached the carpenter's. He not only supplies furniture, he supplies wood too. So with the left over gold I had, I bought all the wood I could buy. It wasn't gonna be enough though. So I decided to come back some other time to get more.

So lightning and I came home with a new addtion, Pelar. They got along real great, loads of help from lightning, he's been socializing with other animals since foal, and now he's learned the techniques to get friends. Really cool, not like me though. crying

I went to the HQ and saw a notice on the board, and it said that owners needed for some foals, their owners were kinda tied up at the moment. So I volunteered to take a foal in for the moment. One was already taken and there was Taran. So I found my way to his owner's stables, Rose.



So he was quite sad that rose wasn't there. He would just sit in heaps of hay and stare blankly into the planks. Lightning even got put down looking at him, when he finally got the courage to confront Taran. He had his blitzball with him and he rolled it to Taran. I don't believe he has seen a ball before, because be backed up into the hay a bit. But then, lightning picked it up and started bouncing it around.

Taran was quite amazed at how lightning played. He was starting to get into the spirit of having fun. He stood up wide eyed and looked intently at lightning, lightning noticed and he passed it to Taran. Taran, was able to catch it and bounced, but at his 5th, he dropped it, he was happy and he neighed loudly, I got the ball and all of us went outside to play.

Todat wasn't as expected as it would've been. It was raining but it happened rarely so we decided to let it rain. We found comfort in the TV, it has been a long time since we watch Tv together.

We were building up the habit of a couch potato so we dragged the sofa so that it would be right in front of the TV set, then we got the popcorn cooking, and we remodeled the living room in such a way that it became very comfortable and easy to move around to get stuff. This would be the life I'm looking for.

We watched TV till it was late and dark. We've been lying around for like the whole day. A storm was coming in, and the stable rumbled at the sound of the thunder. We were watching a comedy movie so it wasn't that scary, till......

BOOM?!

The TV blew up and I had some glass in my skin but I plucked it out real quick. The horses were okay cause they jumped back real fast. I decided to check the fuis box again. I might have screwed up in putting it back on the last black out.

Having the glass in me triggered lightning's freak out sensors. He was wearing his boots but it didn't make a difference. He just was up on his hinds neighing loudly. He has started to show control of his fits. I was glad and yet sad. But it didn't matter at the moment. I had to get to that fuis box.

At the gates, something got hold on my collar, when I turned around to look, it was lightning. He wanted to follow. The rest were quite fine where they were though. So I took lightning along with me to the fuis box. We were quite wet but at the fuis box, there was a small roof thing. We found shelter under that place. I dried myself off a little and forgot to dry lightning off, I wasn't used to lightning around the box with me. The cloth was already wet so it wasn't much use to lightning, I'd dry him off later.

When I opened the box, I felt a sudden force and I remembered flying backwards. It occured to me that the box was filled with electricity stuck in there cause it was made of wood and plastic to contain such things. I got a big fat burn in my chest and it hurt a lot. I rolled around in the rain in pain ( damn I rhyme a lot today, must be that poetry assignment).

When the pain started fading a little. I saw lightning jump around on his fits. He got them back, but this wasn't fear. It was pure adrenalin. He just jumped in the rain neighing. Kicking about too. At times, I thought I saw sparks of electricity.

When he started getting tired an hour later, he started slowing down and finally colapsed. So Taran and the guys dragged him in. I had to lift him up a bit so he wouldn't get scratched by the rocks.

Pelar was acting kinda weird around lightning, he circled lightning many times and kinda stared at him, totally not himself, it wasn't worry, more like, confused. But anyways, he just circled him a lot, curious yet confused.

Special (2nd) 3???
May, 1st, 04

Pelar has become all fuzzy cause of hanging around lightning too much. Some how, I think he has gotten the electric element. But its still not proven. I had my suspicions, and I borrowed a book from Ms. Ceres. It was thin and black and it had a big M on it. It was pretty cool, but what I wanted was inside.

There were many pictures of creatures that I've never heard of. There were pictures and data scripts about that creature. I was looking for Ixions. After flipping pages for a bit, I found Ixions.



The rest was unimportant. So thats why Pelar was acting weird around Lightning. He is able to learn electric abilities. He must have senced something strange and familiar about the new lightning.

Maybe if this was true, lightning would be an elemental, an electric elemental to be exact. But that was for tomorrow, today, I got some important stuff to do.

For the past time, lightning and I have been starting his electric training. We've experimented lightning with a drop of water and realised that lightning hates my guts.

Lab 1
Motive of Experiment :
To prove the fact that electricity is running in lightning's body.

Procedures :
1. Try something with water (Note: prepare some armor)
2. Use armor
3. Observe subject closely
4. Write better instructions
5. Get some Candy?!

Observation :
Subject gets a sorta static reaction everytime water droplets are dropped onto the subjects body. However water inside his body has no effect on the electricity. *Lightning now drinks through a dry baby bottle.*

So thus it is proven, lightning has some electricity in him. But now to bring it out and control it. Lightning's new discovered electricity is yet to be controlled, thus used. He hasn't been shooting out bolts of electricity or shocking people......on purpose. sweatdrop

Lab 2 was done with procedure and stuff like that. However, we have chosen to take lightning to the Dark Forest for some monster incounters. The last time I came here was to search for some stuff I forgot about, slaughtered all the monsters on my way. It was horrible but their corpse always vanish into smoke. Lightning and the gang came along, to improve experience and to try and discover lightning's abilities, maybe pelar's too.

*Dark Forest is in mah map of mah stables so if i can scan that anytime soon, then u'll be able to see it*

The gang were just spooked at the sight of the place. It was dark at 3.00 in the afternoon. With every step we took into the forest, the exit was growing darker. They should be scared. When they're scared, they're alert. I had brought my battle axe and my bow and arrow just in case electricity doesn't pop up. But I had a plan on how to pop it up.

So just a few minutes after we were dark in the forest. A pair of giant tarantulas poped out from a tree. They were just too easy to kill, so I gave lightning a chance at them. I was kinda shocked that he can't even go up to them. They seem to be faster than him. But from my calculations, lightning has the speed to these tarantulas, added together times 3. So lightning would be able to at least go up to one. I felt really ashamed when I saw the tarantulas giving him a chance to strike them. They even struck poses. I wasn't worried about them as much as I was lightning. He really seemed to know that he's some kinda lousy fighter. I knew just what to do though. I instructed him. When the tarantulas were on his tail, I'd ask him for a donkey kick. He had a good donkey kick but he was just too slow for them. Then I knew I had to help 'em out. His self-esteem was goin' down real fast. One more time I instructed him for a donkey kick. The kick barely missed the tarantula when I ran my axe through it. I used my super fast technique I learn from my old master. So technically, lightning just rid the world of another evil monster. The other tarantula was on the guard now. It was all in due time, the tarantula knew it was about to get crushed. Lightning's esteem boosted up a lot and he charged the tarantula. It has been defeated, not technically but the tarantula got a nice donkey kick from lightning that sent it flying.

That battle seemed to have boosted lightning's strength and confidence. We whacked a couple of spiders and clay bird things them it was time to get home. According to my game level up calculations, if lightning started from level 1, he'd be in level 5. And comsidering past events, I calculated as well, he's approximately on level 7 by now.

Special 3

Today has been a great day, expecially in the morning. I keep getting crank calls saying, "May the 4th be with you?!". It was kinda hilarious. The gang kept neighing their heads off. Anyways, we've been workin' on our " quilt. The finishing product is not like a quilt at all.

We took our time at this thing. New stuff are always fun to do, nice and easy. We got a whole set of funny grandma equipment from no other than my grandma. Tough old bird. She traded the knitting kit for our X-Box, which will be returned sooner or later when we trade back, or she could keep it and I could get a new one. Hm.......... Anywho, she had some pretty cool stuff in there. She had a long thick pair of chop sticks and lots of wool. I had no idea what the chop sticks are for though.

Then when I phoned grandma about it, she lectured me about knitting over the phone. Lightning and the gang were yet again laughing their heads off. But they were listening intently to the lecture as well.

After that, we started on our project. Lightning instructing pelar, mustang, magnum and posiden around. I opened my room door to let them go back and forth with the stuff they were assigned to take. For some reason, it was all candy and 15 bags of my personal potato chip collection ( saving for a rainy day ).

Sewing and sewing, eating only when I'm terribly hungry, I worked on the quilt. Lightning and the gang were always there watching me and that was very comforting and gave me more strength to work on the quilt.

I pitied tailors after that. My hands were sore and there were many quilts made and thrown away. But I made one that is not so nice but the best I could make.



Lightning and the gang were real suprised at how this came about too. It was the best I could make so far and I thought it was satisfactory. Lightning snuggled by it. Warm I suppose, hand heat.

Lightning and the gang have now rid the dark forest of some really bad monsters. But they were all simple creatures reacking havoc in their own territories. They were all no match for us. There were more monsters than I had noticed before this time. Every single tree had something, and we found some other new ones, pit vipers and just normal snakes.

We went deeper into the forest without really thinking about what we were gonna do. By now, Lightning and the gang had already increased in about 5 levels.

I will try to keep this Data Analysis as updated as possible.

So we were just making our way into the heart of the Dark Forest, when we bumped into the side of a mountain, kinda steep like a cliff. We made our way along the cliff's side and we reached this cave. Full of other monsters the horses have yet to discover, we went in and found a sorta torch thing on the floor, and beside it was the skeleton of a person. The horses jumped up and ran for the exit, but lightning cut them off and regrouped them in a second, I was amazed, he was kinda like a sheperd's hound, he did it to pelar before right? And now he was capable of holding down a whole stampede of really strong horses. Impressive leadership, anywho, I made the fire and we continued on ur way along the cave wall, we had a few obsticles and it seemed to be a big puzzle. There were levers to pull and we found a couple of smooth items. Mostly some healing herbs.

Here comes the best part, we spotted another healing herb in this sorta room, so we went to get it, we didn't know something was to come so we minded out own business and got the herb. When we wanted to head out, a sorta wooden bar thing dropped onto the entrance of this room and monsters started falling down from the ceiling.

Battle Mode?!

There were 5 monsters, 2 vipers and 3 sorta new ones, ogre-like monsters with clubs. We were battling these monsters and magnum and mustang made first moves, smacking the vipers outta place. The ogres were next they attacked pelar, lightning and myself, we all defended, using horns and blades alike. We tossed them across the room and pelar finished his ogre off. Lightning kicked his ogre back onto the ceiling which he smacked quite badly, and my poor ogre was beaten up the rest. The monsters were in pretty bad shape so I left a big supply of medicinal herbs in the room. The wooden bars were simply, one slash and they were as good as gone.

So we healed up a bit and continued on our way to the dept of this place. We followed a path that was rather creepy since there were no monsters at all. Then we found out why. There was a big circular room ahead and we saw what was in it. The boss of the Dark Forest, the big dude in charge of everything, The Minotaur.

If we defeated this dude, there would not be so many monsters, he kinda creates monsters, not as a mom but kinda like a summoner and he summons 100s and 100s of monsters at a time, so his life is kinda easy you know. We went in to face this ugly piece of monster maker, he had known we were coming so he had prepared some of his own monsters for bodyguards, but as usual we'd whack em dead in a sec.

Battle Mode

Now this was a boss battle and we had to be super careful, his bodyguard ogres were custom summoned they were hard to take down, for the horses of course. I kinda knew the minotaur, we have been faced in battle once, he totally chickened-out that time, but now, its the battle to the death. The arena was around water and the minotaur couldn't swim so basically if he chickened-out he'd die. The horses took care of the ogres. But suprisingly, the 20 ogres smacked lightning and the gang to the back wall. Shocked and unprepared, I was being attacked by the ogres. They were obviously specially packed hell ogres cause they were really stong and skilled. I jumped back and I gave a running slash into the crowd, none were really evaporating right now. I have been surrounded, the minotaur at my back and the ogres in front, I was doomed, I kept running back and forth in the crowd of ogres though. Some of them were evaporating already. But there were still loads more. I had no choice, I had to use some sorta skill that could kill all of them at once. But if I missed, the horses would be in danger. So I kept slashing back and forth. Till I was soo tired, I fell to the ground panting, by now, I knew it was too late. I fought my best and so did the horses, we were gonna meet our doom here. Suddenly, Magnum and mustang rushed into the crowd that was 2 feet from me. They were injured bad but still fighting. Tackle after tackle the ogres were evaporating. The minotaur was shocked but not ready to give up. He said, "To the Death", roared and charged at the now tired magnum and mustang. I built up all my left over strength and gave and upper cut to the lower jaw of the minotaur that sent him flying. Now I was definitely all out of order. But that minotaur was just getting started. He shaked his head a bit and started breathing hard. His eyes were on me now and there was no way I could defend myself. But when he charged, Lightning and Pelar appeared. The on coming donkey kick by lightning really hurt the minotaur bad. Pelar gave his horn slash which doubled the damaged. The minotaur was down. 1, 2, ........ The minotaur gets up and charges for pelar. He rams pelar and he is tossed across the room, pelar has been hurt badly till he couldn't get up. Oh no, our last hope his lightning, what would he do now? Well, he dodged a couple of rams and countered it with donkey kicks mostly. His donkey kicks have improved a lot. Then when we thought all was good, the minotaur took out a very strong healing potion and healed himself. Energy and damage has been increased. Lightning is starting to get real pissed now, he shone a bright color and then, we saw sparks fly around, this is the stage of lightning that I haven't seen before, there were electrical sparks all around him and he growled at the minotaur. It was kinda scary, lightning was all pissed, and a bit bloody since the minotaur hit him a couple of times too. You could see his breath and all comin' out of his nostrils. Then after what seems to be the evolution of lightning, the both horse and bull charged. I could see that the minotaur knew this was the last attack, one of them would win and one would die. Neighing, lightning skidded under the minotaur and when he reached the back, he jumped up and gave some sorta donkey kick, only this kick was full of electricity.

Both the animals flew in the opposite directions, the minotaur, unfortunately, fell into the icy cold water and drowned before we could get to him. Lightning on the other hand bumped into the wall. He was tired but the electricty around him was gone, he changed back to the normal lightning. He wasn't moving though, he was kinda still, against the wall, when I shook him he still didn't move, this couldn't be it, he couldn't have gone now, he just bumped into a wall? But he didn't wake up. We shook him again and it was no use he was gone.

So we carried lightning outta here. Then we passed that room again where we left some of our herbs. The monsters came out of that room and I drew my blade, I have no time for mercy right now, if they attacked they'd die, but instead, the monsters gave us something. It was a bottle of a purple liquid, they kinda signaled us to give it to lightning. I pondered their request and thought, "What's the worst that could happen?"

I opened the bottle and poured it into lightning's mouth. I made him swallow it and when it was down, we waited. The ogres and vipers were behind us waiting to see what was happening. It was no use though. Lightning didn't move. We thanked the ogres and left. When we reached the exit of the cave, where there was sunlight and everything, lightning choked up and spit out some green stuff. We turned to face lightning (on mustang's back by the way). And he kinda looked dizzy and shaked his head a couple of times. Lightning hopped off mustang's back and he all gave him a nice big, group hug. He was kinda suprised at what's just happened and what had already happened. So he just accepted our hug and we just stood at the exit of the cave till dark.

It was about time now that we make the renovations on the stable. The plans are all drawn out and we hired a contractor and bought a lot of supplies, cement and planks and bricks. The stables were as good as done.

All my pets were evacuated and accounted for and all my furniture and belongings were brought out. Now the contractor advised I hired someone profesional to take the old stable down and I knew this one guy in the West Side. He blew up a few buildings and he was an expert at blowing up stuff. He planted a lot of mines in one of the wars, I forgot which one. So he came to the stables and use just five 12 inch dynamites and took care of the stable. The pets that were watching on were horrified and they were neighing and roaring and just screaming. They were pretty upset I blew the stables off. But they'd get use to the new home.

The pets and some hired hand helped us to clear the place up. All the rubble were pretty much roof tops and the walls, when I built the stable I forgot to put a floor in sweatdrop . Thats one of the reasons I felt I needed a whole renovation.

The pets were very upset at the decision I made, but when I showed them the plans for the new home, they started making sence outta things. They too decided that it was the best decision. The constructor got to work right away after the clean-up. He made the crane with the ball and chain leave and started getting the cement mixers and other machinas in. We were to spend the night at the HQ, it would make the beds in the place ever useful.

Quest 2
June, 25, 04

The HQ was nice and comfy for the whole gang but it was some distance from the Forest. So I got on Lightning and the whole gang raced back home. We checked on the contractor's progress. He was having "technical difficulties". Some cement mixer ramed into a whole pile of cement and it got busted and we lost a whole bunch of cement powder. He'd have to restock, pay back for the mixer, and try to get a new one, though he's got some convincing to do.

The horses exictedly raced to the forest, sending me into total speed fright. Hanging on for dear life on lightning, I kept in my puke till I got to a stop. The horses slowed down near the forest and I jumped off to lean on a nearby tree, panting deeply trying to get my grip. I've never felt like that on lightning before. He seemed faster and he was all......fast?? It was a new experience I'd have to get use to.

Lightning was very impatient and he troted about neighing loudly while tossing his head north, south, east and west, practically everywhere. His body was sparking and he drove the others away. Then a few minutes later after trying to calm him down, he just gave a big bolt to the whole place, sending the horses and myself flying. The bolt grew slowly from the center of his body, then slowly grew bigger till we got our senses and ran for it, but the bolt was so big, it got a few trees and the monsters on it, just fell off, shocked.

Lightning had had these lappes where he couldn't control himself and he'd get all uncomfortable and restless and just send bolts all over the place. The bolts weren't severe. just tiny jolts of static. But after everyone of these, he'd get real tired and we'd have to drag him home. Now, he's gotten much bigger and the terrain we're going through is rough and rocky so we'd hurt lightning if we dragged him.

After the laps at the forest, we expected to see lightning on the ground tired and almost dead, but he was standing up and confused at all of us lieing on the ground with hair standing up. He came over to me licked my face, bit my shirt and tossed me on him. Then he went over to pelar and the rest, shook or nudged them up. The gang shook themselves, tossing off an spare static on thier fur and decided thats enough drama for one day.

Entry # 14 (part 1)
July, 7, 04

After days of training and travelling back and forth from the forest and the HQ, lightning developed quite a thing for running. Running used to be a torture but now his muscles have been built up and he outran a pair of long legged birds yesterday, and nothing, in my life can outrun them. The rest of the gang were now falling back but they could keep up at a distance. Thank goodness Lightning's mane was long enough for me to grip on. If it were any shorter, I'd slip off and fall at about 200 mph.

The gang was falling back and they didn't like it a bit, they tried calling for lightning to slow down, but he never did. I made my own conclusion for this, Lightning has never been that fast a runner before and now he can outrun anything. He was due some speedy time, but I didn't expect it to be like this.

When he came around to rush past the gang panting heavily, Magnum on the floor, I jumped off and rolled over a few times, cause of the tremendous momentum. Mustang nudged me up as I stood watching Lightning race around the forest madly, as if almost insane, uncontrollably insane. Now I got thinking, what if Lightning got possesed like all the other times he did, I wouldn't like to find it out but it was just meant to be.

I called Lightning in, but he wouldn't listen, so Pelar and I took glances at each other and I whispered to him and told him about the plan I cooked up in the moment. The others weren't here right now, Mustang and Magnum took of somewhere but they'll be here when I call for them. So he took his place and as Lightning was running through, I jumped on 'em and Pelar knelt before his path. He stumbled forward and I lost grip and flew into a tree> Lightning stumbled forward but he stood up in a second and looked at us with eyes I had never seen before. As I held onto the tree branch for dear life, I felt a certain regret. Lightning wasn't possesed but he was just free, we needed to stop him, but it just wasn't in the right way. Lightning ran off and Pelar trotted till I was right above him, I let go and he got me. Pelar and I stole glances once more and I called for the others, we then trotted back to the HQ.

I never expected to see Lightning there, cause he'd probably gone somewhere. I made it my responsibility to make sure he's safe, so I left the horses back in the stables at the HQ and packed a bag with a 2 day supply of food. I was gonna hunt for him like I used to hunt for game, only I brought no weapons this time.
