If any of you read the thread " Hate Crime", that was a horrible thing for people to do. They mostly do it to us Bi's, Les, and gays. But why do they do it? Why do they hurt us? Don't just say it's homophobia, it has to be more than that. We're just like other people, and some of you thinking it's wrong to be Bi, Gay or Les, it isn't. Because, it's who you are. And, if some of you are confused like me, you have plenty of time to make up your mind. So, Back to other people. Share your thoughts and opinions as to why people do these things to us like beat us up. Thanks for sharing!

i agree. It's human nature to fear what you don't understand, or don't bother to try to.

2 reasons: 1 animal instinct, we fear wut we dont understand, just like the 1st time a cat sees a dog it gets sassy because it doesnt kno wtf its looking at
2 religion, some ppl attack us for the same reason they attack non-christians, we're evil satan suckes lol and they attack us because in order to maintain they're [preists] power they unite their ppl agenst a common enemy, [gays [and such] and non christians]

Its human nature. If you look at the past, look through history we as humans always find something to blame. More so when it comes to commen people. Hitlar did it to the jews, the amarican people did it quit a few times through out our 200 year history. It just happens.

Saddly there is no cure for bigiotry. Its enviomental. If your father hates african amaricans then you are most likely too as well, unless you are smarter then him and can see that its wrong.

Are we treated like this because there is a common fear installed into todays people? Perhaps. But give a group of people something or someone to blame their problums on, that group of people will.

Often its religish or prolidical leaders that install this fear. Holy men often cruse homosexuals, claiming they are damned to hell and fire and brim-stone. Polatishions do it as well, we saw that with both Bush and Karry.

Can such hate be stoped? No. There will always be hate and fear of what people do not understand or will not understand. Its human nature saddly.

We shouldnt ignore it however, if we ignored such things there would have been no woman's right movement, no march on the capital for either blacks,gays or women. There would be no Martin Luther Jr's "I had a dream" or no "We're here, we're queer, get used to it."

But for now, we have to deal with it, and hopefully laurn from it. And perhaps the next generation will know that this is worng and will not make the mistakes we and our parents did.

"Strait" people are just as confused as we are. When they see something that they aren't used to they are instanty suspicious of it and many times shun it or hate it. I think that religion has a very small part in how people treat others. It's individual people who are uncomfortable or suspicious of a lifestyle they don't know about that use religion as a way to make what they do and how they feel right.

When my dad sees two men kiss he makes a little face and makes some comment, never hurtful or anything just a comment like "why do they have to show that?" He's not used to such a lifestyle and doesn't understand how a man could be attracted to another man. It's not that he hates its that he doesn't understand. I think a lot of people tend to lean towards not understanding then that of hating.

Of course there is no true explanation to why people hate homosexuals. It's just going to be the way someone feels.

I try not to dwell on it because even though it is sad that someone would hate something that may not even affect them and even get to a point where they are going out of their way to make that hatred known, me continually thinking about it won't fix it and it shouldn't be fixed to begin with. If we don't know this hate then we wouldn't know what love is. Which blows because people can do some horrible horrible things.....

Anyone else noticed that it was three/four? guys that did this proticular hate crim..and they all did the victem up the a**? Maybe thier are the ones who are gay and just are sexuly frustraited? sweatdrop

Thanks for posting guys, the smartest replied ive heard so far that make sense to me is by Mage, revan and Pheonix 3nodding I agree. people don't know what it's like to be in love. You can't control your feelings for any gender.
