'Stupid Chameleon circut... waste of time... stupid, stupid thing...'
The doctor was mumbling, bent over, studying his chameleon circut with an expression of distaste, almost anger... but not quite.
'... stupid, stupid...'
There was a loud bang, and the Doctor went flying backwards, his hat was knocked off and he received a nasty bump on the head.
'Bugger.'
'Doctor? Are you alright?' It was Mel, who took one look at the Doctor, and rolled her eyes. In her hand she had a couple of spoons.
The doctor reached for his hat with his left hand, rubbing his head with his right. He managed to smile at Mel, and then his eyes rested on the two items of cutlery in her hand. His face broke into an enormous grin.
'What are you doing with those?' He asked, barely able to contain his excitement.
Mel blushed and looked down at her feet 'I... I thought... I was going to try... I was a bit bored... so... I...' she blushed even harder.
The Doctor seemed delighted. 'You want to learn how to play the spoons!'
Mel looked up sharply. 'What?'
'Well, I'd be glad to show you... Here.' He took the spoons from Mel's hand and began to play, humming some absurd tune as he went. Grinning from ear to ear, he played on, Mel staring at him in wonder. He used one finger, two, elbow, finger, back of the head...
'Ouch!'
He looked so comical, Mel began to laugh.
'Oh Doctor...'
'What?' He stopped, panting slightly.
'I Just... wanted... to cook...a...' Now she was really gone, bent double on the floor of the TARDIS, giggling uncontrollably.
'Oh well...'
The Doctor set off down the hallway again, and soon the clinking of spoons could be heard once again, the sound bouncing off the walls.

Hahah, actually, depending on the spoon, they can be surprisingly easy to bend. Like that time when the ice cream set kinda hard in the freezer, and it bent the spoon almost in half... eek
Good old Doctor. I agree, playing the spoons would be awesome.

JagraXen I liked this - its just the kind of crazy thing the Doctor would know how to do!!! I remember seeing the Seventh Doctor start to do it in "Time and the Rani", I think. This one-shot was nice smile Timelady - Not only is there no spoon, there is no us to bend the spoon. It's all an illusion.
