Tyranna would enter the arena silently, hood up and using her staff as a walker. Unbeknownst to the audience or her opponent, she was streaching and kneading her muscles with little muscle spasams she had taught herself to use to make herself ready and to enhance her reflexes. She would smirk in an odd way and she'd twirl the staff lazily in her left hand.

In the middle of the arena sat a bundle of rags that looked like someone's 10 year old laundry.
The pile of clothes quivered slightly, moving a little...

Tyranna rose an eyebrow at the moving pile of rags. She tilted her head to one side and folded her arms across her chest.

The rags suddenly shot off into the air, landing in the crowd somewhere. Of course, that would be the least of her problems.
Now, from where the rags were, was a massive yellow eye with a "w" shaped pupil. It clearly had a membrane across it, as the sand rolled off the eye with ease. The eye stared at her for a monet before suddenly, with a sound of shifting sand, a massive suction-cup covered tentacle erupted from the ground beneath her, attempting to wrap around her, as the creature it belonged to began to rise from the sand.
It rose up...and up...and up...
Upon being fully freed from the sand, the entire leangth of the creature could be seen. 300 feet from the top of it's head to the tip of just one of it's tentacles. Each tentacle was at least as thick around as a greyhound bus.
It's skin contantly shifted through all the colors in existance, untill it finally stopped at a pitch black with white rings.
The original tentacle that attacked her was amazingly quick and sudden, most likely she wouldn't know what had happened untill she was sqeezed to death...if she had been caught...
This was the Ringed Lusca.

She would blink as the giant octopus rose out of the sand and would smile beneath her hood. This WOULD be interesting... As the tentacle darted towards her, Tyranna would react with equal speed. She would whip her hidden pale green katana out of her staff and dance backwards, slicing and slashing at the oncoming tentacle with surprising speed and ferocity as she began murmering under her breath. A huge gust of wind would pick up in the arena and push the young looking ex-mage out of the octopus' range. She'd twirl her sword rapidly, muttering more incoherant syllables, then point the tip of the blade at the octopus. A bolt of electricity would shoot out of it and would scream towards the behemoth with a cahrge around 3 amps. Tyranna would move her left hand in a sweepign gesture and the winds picked up again, this time swirling around the bolt of lightning, which would burst into flame as it struck her opponent.

A lone being stood in the stands, watching the battle begin. It mystified him how such a large being did not break the rule of going beneath, or above, the legal limit of the arena space. Also, another object that perplexed him, was the fact that the being would need to have left a large gaping hole beneath it. If there wasn't that hole beneath the large Kraken-like being, then something was seriously iffy.
Humbra continued to look on at the massively perplexing oddity.

Tyranna would move her left hand in a sweepign gesture and the winds picked up again, this time swirling around the bolt of lightning, which would burst into flame as it struck her opponent. The lightning hit the creature and...disintigrated? It certainly seemed so, the flames landing on the creature but it seemed unaffected. Meanwhile, the kantana would hit the Tentacle and barely do any damage. It was apparent the Creature's skin was incredably dense, as well as element resistant. Further, the electricity did very little damage to it's rubbery body. Then, suddenly, the sand under her feet would leap up at her ankles, attempting to wrap around them. This would serve as a distraction as the creature would raise one of it's entacles once again, then send it crashing down upon her as it's other tentacles would drag it toward her in the sand.

As the sand wrapped round her ankles, Tyranna would look down at her feet and mutter a curse under her breath, then attempt to pull free. Suddenly, one of her many pericings wiggled, and she looked up in time to see a large tentacle bearing down on her. With her demonic strength she would pull her feet free and sprint to the left just as the tentacle crashed down onto the sand. She would bring up her electricity infused katana, point it to the celing of the stadium and cry; "DYNOVA!". A rumble would be heard, then a blast of lightning would explode from above, showering the audience and the two warriors with hot blinding light. Tyranna would use her speed to dart towards the octopus. Then she would light her hands with a glowing white fire, scoop up some of the snd with the other and turn it into small but extreamly sharp bits of glass. extinguishing the fire, Tyranna would throw the shrapnel into the air, wave her fire-free hand, and anotehr large gust of wing would direct the sharp glass to the octopus's eyes.

The Lusca's eye membrane was incredably dense, a shotgun blast would rebound off it at point blank range. Of course, this would mean the glass would do little damage, bouncing off the eye.
Suddenly, the creature lept forward at her, attempting to wrap it's tentacles around her and pull her into it, all it's tentacles coperating, all sweeping in from 8 different angles around her, trying to pull her in, the tentacles coming in like a compass, including the Northeast northwest, ect parts.

Tyranna would look around her with a swordwomans eye. She would see the octopus's tentacles whipping at her from all directions...that seemed to be the coordinates of a compass. She'd grin beneath her hood and start off at once, darting in a confused fashion between the tentacles, then slipping between a gap fromed by two of them as the tentacles closed in. Tyranna would raise her left hand and bend it in a "come hither" motion, and summoned the wind yet again. Tyranna would begin to rise upon it, hovering in mid air about five feet off the ground. She would twirl her katana and shoot towards the octopus with incaluable speed-that perhapds, this interesting octopus could calculate- and bring her razor sharp katana down on his eye.

As she shot forward at the lusca's eye, the lusca seemed to think for a moment, and then suddenly she would feel the force of a car wreck crash into her gut.
"...Pathetic human..."
The lusca was telepathic. Of course, the force was a psionic orb of mind energy that was invisable to the naked eye. It was possible that she could dodge it, but considering she had no way of knowing that the lusca was telepathic, nor seeing any attack coming, it would be rather hard to even know she was being attacked untill she had already been struck.
However, if she managed to attack the eye, it would still be futile, considering it's eyes had the strongest defense sicne everyone seemed to target them and thus had evolved to defend it's eyes. She would be better off attacking something else, since it's eye was basically invulnerable to material damage. The blade would most likely bounce off the membrane like rubber.

Tyranna was not telepathic, but the thought was still clear. Her earrings would jangle as they always did when an attack was coming at her from any direction. She would roll mid air to the right, but not entirely out of the way. Her left side'd be clipped by the impact and pain exploded in the left side of her body. Her hood blown back, she would land on her feet some distance from the Lusca. She would reach into her cloak and pulled out a vial. She'd drink half of the liquid and pour the rest on the chain whip on her side. On the top of her mind was the thought; You ain't seen nothin' yet. She'd sheath her blade and kick up her mental sheild, the perfect image of a ten foot thick and eighty feet tall steel door. Tyranna would unravel her chain whip, murmer something under her breath and strike the ground, hard. The sand would rumble abruptly underneath the Lusca, then stop. Tyranna, the spokes model for malvoeant beauty, would leer at her opponent-depite the throb in her stomach-and allow the wind to drifther to the other side of the arena. Beneath the Lusca, the ground would rumble again, louder this time, and suddenly a large explosion of magma would erupt from beneath it with temperatures half that of the sun.
