Well, if you can't figure out what this thread is from the title... I don't know what to do with you. this is where you can submit prayer requests for the other members to pray for. This isn't only for prayer requests, though. If the LORD has done something in your life that you want to share with us, please do so. Giving God His props when He's done something for us is just as important as asking Him for help in our times of need.

 Hi all. Well, my husband has been pounced by Bell's Palsy. The medication you recieve to treat it is Prednisone (a steroid) or another set of pills that heal the oral herpes virus that is also believed to cause it. He doesn't have oral herpes, so his poison is Prednisone. A month ago we both had poison ivy; he gets it worse than I do so he went to the doctor for it. The medication they gave to him for it was also a steroid and it screwed him up horribly.
His blood pressure runs high as does his temperature (just runs in his family) and the steroids pushed it even higher. Not good. So off of the steroid he went. Sadly, not much is known about the palsy and so there are only two forms of meds for it, only one that he can use, and though it's only affecting him mildly I'm still on pins and needles.
Two, the palsy is an ordeal unto itself.
It isn't a permanent thing (although there is a small chance it could become so) but three months of this is going to be nerve-racking; we're only on day seven as it is and we can't tell if it's getting better or worse. It seems to change daily.
He has a doctor's appointment on Tuesday but I don't know what in the world it could be for - there literally is nothing anybody can do now but ride it out.. and pray. I've been praying and we'd both really appreciate it if you guys would too. It's not just a vanity fear - along with being droopy on the left side of his face for the rest of his life, his sight can be affected, his speech, his ability to eat with any manner of ease and to even shut his eye all the way without the use of weights (surgically implanted if it's permanent). It takes a lot of strength to try to move mostly paralyzed muscles and it drains him of all energy.
I've never asked for prayers before but he really needs some Love.

I'm praying for your husband. I've heard of palsy before and have a slight knowledge of what it is. Hope he gets better!

please pray for my mom. she had uterine cancer cancer.. then a hysterectomy. Now its spread through her body. Shes has been taking kemo for months now. The kemo that they were giving her she is alergic to. She has been getting blisters and rashes all over her. SO they gave her a different kind of kemo and it turns out that shes more alergice to this one than the one before. Both of these kind of kemo treatments are the highest and strongest kemo treatments you can take. ... just keep her in prayer. There is a high risk that I could have uterine cancer as well and I haven't had children yet..

if you guys wanna pray for my friend, I would love it.
he needs some love and support right now. the problem is, he lives about six hours away from me so I can only do so much.
I don't now what's bogging him down so much lately, but I hear he's uber distracted.
he's preaching a revival this friday through sunday. I love this guy to death, and he was one of the two guys who showed what living for Christ means.
pray for peace of mind, and pray that God's words aren't lost in the mess.
if ya wanna slip a little side not in there about me, too, I wouldn't complaine. ^_^

hey guys.. as far as prayer concerns go.. please keep me in yalls prayers.. my life is a mess..(as usual) im always stressed out.. its hard to not let the stress get to me sometimes.. right now.. ive only got 4 days of summer school left for a credit that i need to pass in order to graduate (from high school) and right now im failing.. chances are pretty high that im going to have to get a G.E.D. and my mom yelled at me for like 2 hrs the other day about it.. made me cry.. i hate my parents so much.. >_<;; and then my boyfriend lives in kentucky..(i actually met him on gaia personals, 2 yrs ago) ::sigh::.. also i really need prayers for my best friend.. she said to include her in my prayers bc shes going to college this fall and she doesnt like any courses on her schedule except French and it sounds like shes having to take courses that her mom wants and not her.. so shes not the only one trying hardest to please her parents.. x_o they're such a pain sometimes.. anyways i found another christian/anime thing a while back called the Christian Anime Alliance.. its a good site/forum if u ever need somethin else.. yea sry this is so long.. id better save it in case it doesnt work.. lol ...thnx! ~Umi

Also, I've inherited a disease from my mom called Endometiousis, which is the disease that gave my mom cancer in her uteris.

I gt a terrible infection after a foot surgery this year and the doctors kept giving it to me even though I am allergic to it because they thought I might have MERSA. Vancomicin is the Srnold Schwarzenegger of antibiotics so it would kill MERSA if I had it. I had to get a bunch of shots and then they'd push the Vanc into my blood and have to stay there in case my throat closed up. That wasn't fun. So yeah, that drug is terrible...

My mom was allergic to it too. She had a home health nurse, but they first found out she was allergic when she was in the hospital. She swelled up like a balloon [literally] and they were afraid she was going to arrest. You're right, it's a terrible drug to be on, but it works.
