Elizabeth (Beth) Sat in the car of the train by herself. She had no idea what to expect of Hogwarts, she had never even heard of it before she got her letter. She didn't even know that magic existed. Her long honey colored hair flowed around her shoulders and into her face, she ignored it. She put the end of her hair into her mouth and chewed on it, thinking. She was nervous about the sorting, some people were saying that it would hurt really bad. She was also nervous about making friends, what if no one liked her???

Elizabeth (Liz) roamed the halls of the train, unsure about her surroundings. She grew up with a wizarding family, but being alone and going to a whole new place was scary. She knocked on the cabin door, wondering if anyone was inside. As the door slid back, she peered inside to find one lone girl. "May I come in?" She asked.

Beth nodded and smiled, she would be glad for company. "Sure, that would be great." She said. Wow, a friend! She thought. She motioned to the seat across from her, still smiling. She felt like a dork doing nothing but smiling, but she didn't know what to say... "Are you a first year too?" She said after awhile. She flipped her hair back over her shoulder and waited for a response.

"Yes, I am", she replied. "what house do you think you'll be sorted into? Are you muggle born or wizard born? Sorry if I'm overly chatty, I'm a bit nervous. Oh, I'm sorry, I never introduced myself. I'm Elizabeth, but everyone calls me Liz." She offers her hand to the strange, yet friendly looking girl.

"Oh, I don't know about any of the houses yet, all I know is I don't want to be in Slytherin. When I was shopping at diagon alley, I heard a boy talking about Slytherin, and it didn't sound good....My name is Elizabeth too! Only everyone calls me Beth." She took liz's hand and shook it, not feeling so nervous.

Shakes Beth's hand. This could be the start to a wonderful friendship, she thought. "Well, there are four houses, Hufflepuff, Gryfindor, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. You're right about not wanting to be in Slytherin, I haven't heard good things from that one, either. My whole family has been in Gryfindor, so that's where I'll probably be. I'm kinda excited, actually, about coming here. But a little nervous, too." Smiles at the new girl, hoping she's not dominating the conversation.

Beth smiles back. "I'm really excited and really nervous..." She laughed. She was glad to let Liz take over the conversation, she was so hyped up right now, shw thought that she might throw up if she opened her mouth much more.

Liz hears the snack trolly coming down the isle. "Would you two like anything from the trolly?" the older woman asks. Liz bought a few things, like pumpkin pastries, frizzing wizzbees and some bertie bots every flavor beans.

Beth bought a few things that didn't look too uninviting and sat back down. She didn't touch any of her candy though, she was still nervous... "What happens if I pass out infront of everyone?" She asked Liz with a shaky laugh

"Hopefully someone will pick you up" Liz replied. Though, there really isn't anything to be nervous about. Everyone does it, and it's just putting a hat on your head.
