Would the ion be a decent starter gun? Please state why, or why not.

The Ion makes a great gun for Starting players through Entry Tournament play(Please do not argue about it being a true High-End marker). With the Ion being highly affordable yet packing good features it makes a good marker for the average player.
If you are to get an Ion I suggest reading the manual inside out so your going to be confused about what to do when you get it.Why read the manual I say?, becuase you might need to do some minor tinkering and such as change a mode for the marker. Reading manuals does wonders, don't be afraid to read it even people who have great knowledge of their markers will go back to the manual to find something out.
It might be advanced compared to a Tippmann 98 Custom but it will serve you well if you know what you are doing.

I personally had an Ion... realized I didn't like them still don't. I know have a Diablo Wrath LTD. Get a Diablo Wrath there awesome the only upgrade you'll need is a barrel, and a new bolt from ACP.
