Character descriptions:
  • Laio Brash, humourous and a little full of herself, Laio has travelled pretty much everywhere in her cubhood, and is proud of it. However as she's grown she's found a deeper sense of responsibility and more compassion than she had before; she also tired of the travelling life, hence deciding to settle down at last in a place she would make just for cheetahs.

  • Sauda Sauda is very much a chipper female. Now a full grown mother of two she's come an incredibly long way in finding herself before returning to the coalition. Unexpectedly she'd run into Bato, who has stuck with her through it all ever since she found herself seperated from Laio by Sauda's own wanderings. She's level headed and quick witted, a good compliment to Laio's quirky brashness.

  • Tomoyo Laio found Tomoyo isolated out alone in the grasslands, weak and tired from a lack of food. The jewelry adorned on her front paw deems her almost useless during hunts as they make a right awful clanging racket everytime they touch. Because of this she was damn hear half starved when the Captain found her. Tomoyo was unknowingly carrying cubs at the time that she joined Laio, and watched as member after member trickled into the group to populate Duma'Bara, soon after her own two little girls joining the member count. She's been recently reunited with her mate, Kiamba, and they've made a full family again.

  • Uri Uri seems about as deep as a mirror when you first meet him - full of himself and of the opinion his pelt is beautiful. However, he's rather really lonely and sensitive about his looks. Where he came from, all cheetahs looked the same in traditional cheetah style...with maybe a few Kings scattered about. This made him decide if no one else would love him, he'd love himself.
He took an unintentional journey on a fast boat to the SoA area and has been wandering about ever since.

  • Bato Bato is brash and a bit on the hot tempered and broody side of things. He doesn't like other males near his Sauda, and he's more than a little posessive and protective over her, but she only seems endeared by it. The two have traveled together, always looking out for one another. They've now had their first litter, a girl and a boy, and are making the trek to return to the place they'll call home.

  • Colche Shy and quite, Colche hides away from others, she isn?t so much anti social as she is simply afraid of others, she has never socialised, always being alone when her mother was killed by lions. She's rather twitchy though perhaps her trust can be won over one day. She is a very skilled hunter having been alone for a long time though she is more adept to hunting under the shade of trees rather than in open grass lands.

  • Kit'searva Kit'searva is not one to shy away like most others, instead she is bold and care free, even though she's been on her own since her mother abandoned her, she continues to keep a positive attitude. Half the time she's absent minded and forgets previous questions and subjects, sometimes even forgetting her mother is gone, when finding something new to her interest.

  • Bichi Bichi is a pretty much laid back, lazy kind of cheetah but, when given orders he'll most likely follow all the rules set to him. He is very nice, and dislikes those who are mean. xD

  • Davu'AdemAdem is quite skittish when it comes to meeting new people. When meeting new people, Adem usually hides himself in tall grasses until the cheetah speaks with him.

  • Chuakari Chuakari is the type to worry about what people think of her, and is constantly working to please those around her. It's most evident as a cub, where she's a little obsessive, tense and anxious- and likely to tell you she's a hyena if it'd make you like her more. Of course, her personality will probably evolve as she grows, but there'll always be some degree of obsessiveness and anxiety. These qualities have their advantages as well as the obvious disadvantages, it makes her a hard/dedicated worker as well as responsible and considerate.

  • Kilindi

  • Sawia'na'mifu Nicknamed Sawia, this juvenile cheetah cub is just like most other younglings -- rambunctious and playful to the point that she'll wear out just about anyone else except her mother, who seems to have endless amounts of patience.

  • Akili
  • Afiya
  • Moyo
  • Chozi
  • Zuko

Rankings
========

Captain: The leader of the coalition, though it is only a loosely bound group. Almost always female.

Vice Captain: The captain's supporter, almost always the same gender as the captain (rarely their mate).

Advisor: One who is turned to in times of need, or for strategies to drive away invaders, that kind of thing.

Storykeeper: Cheetahs tend to travel, and many like to know what is out there... the storyteller can collect tales from all the different cheetahs in the coalition, or from passing travellers, or from new arrivals, and teach the young about what is out there.
*This is also somewhat of a babysitter position.

Border Patrol (males only): As the females have the inner part of the territory, the males have the outer edges, and thus serve as good border guards in case anything attempts to threaten the cheetah land they have claimed.

Hunter / Huntress: A rankless cheetah who lives on the lands.

Youngling: One who is born in the lands or taken in as a cub.

There are no 'royal' families as it were; rather, when the position of captain becomes vacant/debated, either a new one is voted in or a fight will determine the outcome. The family of a former captain would have no advantages (other than having been better fed, etc. and therefore more likely to beome a captain). Positions do not always have to be filled, and different cheetahs can take a title as it passes around.

I just thought I'd post to say that Chuakari will be leaving the coalition for fear of always stepping eggshells due to her mate's species. If you want me to delete this post, just PM me and I'll remove it for you. I didn't know where else to post this smile

Thanks!
