In the episode "Reckoning", what if Chloe died instead of Lana? Would Clark still go back to save Chloe?

He would but there would be no reason for Lex to even call Chloe so she wouldn't be in that situation.

yeah, i definately think clark would have gone back for Chloe. her being his best friend and one of two people that he actually can talk to about his powers makes her pretty important to him, even if lana is his first love. what makes me wonder is, why didn't he go running back to the fortress of solitude after johnathan died? (or did he and am i just not remembering?) i suppose he probably just realized this was the way that the world was going to balance itself and he couldn't fix it again.
i wonder, if they make chloe die in one of the coming seasons, will clark try to go back and change that as well? or would he have realized by now that you can't win when it comes to life and death?

Your right, FaithHopeLove.
But what if Chloe was in sort of life-or-death situation, Clark would go back. What if he would of let things how they were before he went back. Then at least I wouldn't be hurling at the end of the season where Lex and Lana are kissing and sucking face. xp

I dont even think Chloe would have died because she already knew Clark's secret and Lex still didnt suspect
But if she did Clark would have went back for her..
Its kind of funny... Right after Lana died Clark could have done it over again and run to where the crash took place and stopped it from happening..

He could only go back one time, that is what Jor-el said, ONE TIME. So he couldn't go back to save Jonathon. AGAIN, why would Lex call Chloe? Why would she be on route 40? No reason, she has no reason to be in that situation so there is no possibility she would have died in reckoning.

well think about it. It could have been another reason why chloe would have died. I still think Clark would go back. I mean think about it. If CHloe died, then there would be no connection to the daily PLanet, no one who knew his secret because he wouldn;t have told Lana otherwise she would have died and he would be loosing his best friend...again.

NOt to mention if he had the chance he WOULD go back to save her. Because the episode would have turned out totally different and it would show that he DID have feelings for CHloe because the sacrifice was for someone that Clark LOVED. Not saying he didn't love Chloe. i think at that time it was a different kind of Love.

If he were to choose between Chloe and Lana to save I'm not sure what he would do. Probably find a way to save them both I suppose.

yeah. I mean how do you choose between your best friend and the girl friend you don't have a very good relationship with. But either way your right he would find a way to save both.

Clark could have done the same things and SAVE Lana. Jonathan was meant to die. Atleast we know he's in a better place now.
