Bree grinned to herself, settling out a beach towel and some other things. Today was a good day... Simon was beyond happy, cause.. this was his day. Even Kizu had been left behind so the pre-teen could fully enjoy himself. And.. partially so Bree could enjoy herself.
Now all they needed was one more ingredient and the day would be perfect... Axel and Nero. And they should have been there soon right?
Bree was wearing her favorite swimsuit, the most revealing.. The one that got her grumbles from other women on the beach.. yes, that was always fun. Snickering some as a woman glared at her, she dug out the sunscreen, starting the intial spread over her front half.. She'd bug Axel to do the rest, and ofcourse she did this part as inticing as possible... grin widening as a few men stopped to stare at what they couldn't have. It was good to be young and sexy...
Simon practically dry heaved at his mother's actions, he had on simple red swim trunks and was already headed to the water with a fangy-grin. Atleast he had been. "Stop that!" he frowned at her, receiving an oh so innocent "What?" With a sigh, he waded out knee deep into the water, ignoring Bree for the moment to enjoy the feel of the ocean around him... The weightlessness that came with it, it was a big strain to try and keep his heavy tail up off the ground... But in the water it was like it wasn't even there.

Two figures stalked in silence through the sand, eyes scanning the landscape for the rendez-vous point. The older of the two was in a pair of baggy swim trunks that hung rather low on his hips, and his hands were currently hidden away in the pockets. The rest of his rather toned figure was left revealed, drawing the exact opposite sort of attention from the women on the beach than what his usual female companion was recieving. He lifted one hand and ran it through his hair, offering one of his sly smiles to one he caught gaping. She smiled back, but then looked warily at the awkward creature at his side.
Nero was toddling along beside his father, clad in a sweatshirt that fell to his knees and beneath that a pair of fitting green trunks. He was enjoying the feel of the warmth that radiated all around him, and was wearing a rather content smile. He nestled his head into the side of his caretaker, glancing around excitedly. He loved the beach...
"I-I see 'e-em!" The child declared merrily, just missing Simon as the boy disapeared into the water. He darted forward, his guardian following in a much more leisurely fashion. "Hey, Bree." He shot her a smile as they approached, and Nero threw in a delighted, "H-hullo!" Before casting a glance towards the water where his friend was last spotted.

Bree's ears perked as a noise met them, just as she finished reaching the lotion like substance to her toes. Not that she sunburnt that easily... It was just good to get it everywhere. It added a nice sleak look, and essential for the beach goer. That and she still could get sunburnt, which was not pleasent when she did. She lowered her leg back out, giving a grin and a "Hey." In return, and then a different sort of smile to Nero "Hi." She noticed the glance away, "Simon will be back in a second, he's exceited to see you." She added, and he was. Silly best friends thing going, but it was nice to see the happy side of the boy. he was always so serious and angry.
Simon did indeed pop back out of the water after a second or two. Ah, nice. Wonderful. He turned back around, spotting the familiar group. They were here already? "Hey!" He hollared, reaching a hand up to whipe some of the saltwater off his face. It didn't hurt his eyes like most people, but it still got troublesome. With that he started making his way back to shore, trying to ignor Bree's actions.
Bree shifted, Simon poped out right on que. Woo. Now... She looked up to Axel, giving a nice innocent smile and holding the sunscreen. "Think you could?" Her tail gave a single wag.

Axel smiled warmly down at Nero, feeling the boy's excitement which just seemed to radiate from him. He ruffled his charge's hair, and earned a bright smile in return and a light and playful pinch from the claws that could break his whole arm already. Nero started as he heard a voice yelling towards them, and then his face lit up. "J-Jekel!" He hesitantly moved away from his father's side, which he had still been nestled into, and then began trotting over towards the shoreline to wait for his friend.
He stopped, rocking back and forth on his heels in anticipation. "H-hullo!" He couldn't help but look uncertainly towards the vast ocean set before him. That was a LOT of scary water... Jekel seemed fine with it, though..
Axel smiled and arched a brow, "Of course." He took the offered sunscreen and went down onto his knees, hand casually brushing across the front of her stomach with its fingertips, "I'm assuming you got the front already... Turn."

Simon grinned a bit, ah finally someone that used the better of his name. Simon was so.. Nerdy. Jekel sounded cool. Like him. He was totalyl cool... Or atleast thats what fueled his actions now adays, being cool, looking tough, being "the winner" in just about all aspects that he could.
He finally reached the end, stopping just at the shore line so the waves could casually stroll up and lap at his feet, leavig that strange sensation of melting into the sand. "The water's real nice today." He noted, giving an awkward and toothy smile. "And no one swims near me, so we have the whole thing to ourselves." He added a light laugh to that, brushing a strand of hair out of his eyes. He wasn't sure if Nero still hated the water as much as he remembered, he barely remembered that experience at all by now... Just the retelling Bree had given. The whole thing had been a bit foggy after he got mad anyways. All that was left now was a permanant mark in his brain, no biting.
Bree couldn't fight the smal smile that had formed on her lips, even if she wanted to. It was almost a playful look, as fingertips grazed her skin, allowing a soft chill to run through her. She turned, as commanded to. "Yea," She settled into a seated position infront of him, "But you can double check, if you'd like." Her eyes scanned over the beach, noticing how both genders seemed to look equally dissapointed at the two.

Nero smiled nervously, looking down towards the water. "I-it... U-um..." And then he clammed back up, somewhat embarrassed of his own timidness. He ducked his head down shyly and shuffled his feet in the sand. "N-nevermind.. B-but, um..." He looked back up, his wider set of eyes setting back on his friend. The smaller pair slipped to a close. "I c-can't swim... R-real well, s-so.."
He had somewhat overcome his fear of water after a year or so of being sponge-bathed. Atleast he was back to showers and baths, and the water couldn't be scary if you could use it for nice things like those, right? Right. It was just in his head. Just like his daddy had told him a lot of the things were. Just in his head.. Although an image of crimson stained water was so vivid in his memory...
He shrugged it off and took a few more steps forward, until the water was just touching his feet before rolling back to the ocean. He bit his lower lip uncertainly, and then smiled apologetically up at Jekel. He wished he was as good as him as swimming, then he wouldn't hold him back...
Axel smirked slightly, "Sounds like a good idea." He poured some of the lotion into his hands, and then went immediately into caressing them over her shoulders and back, more of a gentle massage really. After covering that area he let his hands slide down to her lower back, and then stroked to her sides, coming to rest for a moment on her hips. Slowly his fingers traced along the line of her bathing suit bottoms, and then upwards over her stomach. He'd behave, sure... But that wouldn't stop him from being his bastardly self. She had offered him this position, after all.. He'd make the best of it.

Simon shrugged at that, "Whatever, You'll learn." He said, rather easily for someone who was above average at swimming. No worries, right? Thats what learning was for.. No one had to be perfect, they just had to give it their all. And admit when they weren't perfect, unlike that b*****d Laial... But that t**t wasn't here now. Just Nero, who was awesome and wasn't running away screaming. Okay so Simon didn't get out much, the other D-corp children wouldn't likely do that... Just the humans on the beach who had no idea who he was, but that could still get to someone, especially considering how often Simon wanted to go there. And Yeesha got sick or something, so Nero was pretty much the only person he thought of as a friend.
He waited patiently, already in a good mood from the beach, watching Nero edge forward, then fall backwards. Even if he was being held back there was only so much you could do in the water alone... So, after a moment or two, his pateience wore out and he held out both hands for Nero to take. "Come on, we'll go in slow, alright?" He couldn't help but give a few tugs on his friend to try and draw him back to the water, but still refraining from any more. He was trying his hardest to be considerate to Nero's feelings...
Bree felt no need to watch the boys at the moment, instead letting her eyes slip shut as Axel casually worked the sun protecting substance in. Arching her back tauntingly for a moment, her tial shifted as he got closer to it's general area. Everythign was going rather nicely, until she heard a loud "Hey! No dogs on the beach!" Echo up over the various noises. Eyes poped open irritably, ears lowered. She hated that, and hated when people pulled it against her. But, to her suprise, no one was looking at her... Curiously, her eyes followed the crowds only to catch sight of a pair of scruffy old wolves bounding along the sand straight for her. Her eyes widened, turning her body to make sure she was seeing right "Mom?! Dad?!" Was the only thing out of her mouth just before they colided with her. Oh goodness, what were they doing here?
That really left the crowd a tad baffled, as one was promptly poking and licking at her face, and the other, had given her a sniff then promptly turned to stare straight at Axel in an expectant mannor, if one could receive that from a wolf.

Nero took in a deep breath, and was soon up on his feet, claws very gently closing over his friends hands. He glanced at them uncertainly, not quite used to anyone besides Axel being willing to hold onto them. They had the power of a steel bear trap already, and he was still growing. He finally looked up, "O-okay.." He gave a crooked little smile and began to shuffle in towards the water.
His claws tightened their grip just slightly as the water reached up to mid-calf, although it didn't seem to be the cold or anything that was bothering him. Actually, he could barely feel it. It was just the feel of the water encasing him. It made him kind of nervous. "Y-you sure i-its gonna be o-o-okay?" He looked to his friend with an expression of nothing but blind trust. His tail lifted slightly behind him in an unconscious effort to stay away from the water, and his extra legs curled in towards his belly.
Axel was turning his eyes towards the ocean, in his perpetual state of over-protectiveness when suddenly there was a shout. He blinked, watching as two creatures bounded straight towards them. He remained completely motionless as they neared, and even so as they took out the girl he had just been rubbing suntan lotion on. He remained entirely silent, seeming not baffled but inquirious, one brow arching curiously. He knew that Bree was obviously something with wolf in her, but... He thought back to the words he had just heard her exclaim. "Mom" and "dad", eh?
He shifted back away from her slightly, and looked towards the wolf staring straight at him. He straightened himself up, staring back with no sign of fear or uncertainty in his expression. He wasn't certain if the creature spoke english, so he simply offered a small nod and wondered if the creature would understand.

Even if Simon knew how much power his buddy's claws held, which he didn't, he would have acted the same. Nero was completley unthreatning to him, for obvious reasons. Maybe if he knew a thing or two about scorpions he'd be a tad more careful, but as it was he had no idea, and was just fine with all of his friend's differences. Afterall, Nero didn't seem to jump away whenever Simon smiled with that mouth full of razorblades. And as an added bonus, Simon's skin was thick, so the slightly sharper than normal edges of his companion's claws weren't any more troublesome than a tickle.
He continued out slowly, again fighting the urge to just jump back in, until Nero tensed. So he stopped again, starting to lose his big grin to a more neutral look. "Ofcourse. I mean, even if you do start drowning i can breath in the water and come save you, right?" He reassured "And I'm real fast!" Mn, okay, now he was just bragging. Boys will be boys, as they say.
Bree had taken up a expression much like an embaressed school girl, a bit pouty as she tried to shove her 'mother' away from her. "Ge'off." She managed, causing the female to fall back and look around, sniffing a bit. The man that had been chasing the two canines caught up then, "Mam, no dogs on the beach."
Bree gave him a frown. "They're not dogs, they're wolves." She corrected, firstly, "And what are you going to do, hm? They'll just be here a few minutes." She gave the man another glare, causing him to grumble and agree for a 'few minutes' then they had to go, or he'd kick them all off. Jerk. Bree snorted some as he walked off, looking back to Axel a bit awkwardly. "Uh..."
Both the canines had now taken to staring at the man that had been so close to their daughter, though the one seemed to have stopped staring so intently, ears now flicking around ot pick up some of the other noises of the beach goers. Then they looked back to Bree.
Bree gave a shrug, "So yea, these are my parents." She gave a half hearted introduction as she tried to answere the questions runnig through her head. Like why were they here, how'd they get here, how'd they find her? Things like that...

The scorpion lad looked to Simon with uncertaintly in those wide eyes of his, and then allowed a smile to come across his face and he nodded. "Y-yeah, I g-guess so!" Maybe this wouldn't be so scary, after all. He began to move forward again, much more confidently, taking strides rather than the shuffles he had been limiting himself to before. "L-let's go. I-I think.. M-maybe I can d-do it.."
His claws did tighten a little bit on his friend's hands, however, showing his nerves were still a little bit jittery.. Well, as long as his friend was there he didn't have much to worry about, right? Eventually his feet lost touch with the ground, and he immediately found nature trying to drag him back to floating on his back like what would happen to his feral counterpart. He released the other boy's hand to wrap his arms slightly around one of Jekel's in an attempt to keep himself balanced.
Axel glanced in Bree's direction, chuckling softly at her embarassment. He settled back, folding his legs indian-style. A man came running along not long after, and he offered the weirdo an arched brow and a flip of the bird as he walked off. "Whatever. a*****e.." If he gave them anymore trouble, the thief had no problem with pulling out the knife he always kept on him and waving around a few ambiguous death threats.. Oh wait, no. They're in public, with the kids around. Damn.
He gave a nod to both the canines, "'Lo, I guess.." He looked to the ocean now, watching the kids as they ventured into the water. "Looks like they missed you a lot. Must be nice having parents, I suppose." He had never really had "parents", persay... But that was another story, one kept with the skeletons in his rather frightening closet.

See, there we go. Life was good. Water was good. Simon slowed as they reached just below shoulder deep, kicking off the dirt below every time awave swooped past them. "Just jump over 'em." he urged, allowing Nero to take his arm. Not like Nero could push him under and drown him. His tail shifted, adding to his balance as the waves pushed them this way and that, towards shore, to the left, to the right. The ocean felt nice though, the weightlessness of it all... And the smells, the sounds. He grinned out to the water, looking around. "See? Pretty cool, huh?"
Bree settled back, again looking awkwardly between her parents and the man infront of her. Not too many men took well to the whole 'Hey, guess what, you're into beastiality' too well... Maybe that just hadn't dawned on him yet. Anyhoo back to the... problem at hand. "Yea... Nice." She eyed them, okay she loved her parents, she had even extended their life, but they had ruined her lovely alone time... She offered the two a nice scratch behind the ears, following Axel's gaze out to the water. "This is Axel and... The two boys are Simon and Nero. Simon's mine, Nero is his." She decided against going into HOW she obtained a child, not a good thing to discuss with them. Thoguh they seemed to perk up, and move to see said boys. As if to say 'What? We have a grandchild?'

Nero blinked all four eyes, and luckily the thin film over them kept out all the water. He nodded, and everytime he could he'd try and get a kick off, although it was harder for him. He was a bit shorter than his friend. He glanced around, finally beginning to relax. "Y-yeah.." He smiled. It was pretty nice, really... He reluctantly let go of his friend's arm, and instantly he was beginning to float backwards. He allowed himself to float amongst the waves on his back, closing his larger pair of eyes and just relaxing for a moment, bobbing up and down with the lighter waves. "I-it's nice." Much better than the pool.
Getting off of his back was another problem, however. Once he decided he actually wanted to do stuff, he had to struggle a bit until he managed to roll over. He found himself face down in the water, staring unblinkingly into the minor depths below him. He blew a few bubbles in confusion, and then continued to force himself upright until he managed to stop floating. He was a light little guy, and had a sort of place in his body where it was basically pouches of air which worked in the water like some strange floatation device. Had he been a feral scorpion, it would have killed him, however he had some characteristics of a human so he kept alive. He huffed.
Axel didn't seem all too phased- perhaps it was because he had been faced with much worse. He was used to the unordinary. Besides, for a wolf she had a very nice female-humanoid body. It's not like he was into ******** animals that looked like ANIMALS. Besides, she was much better conversation than these canines. It was better than that one three-eyed whore from when he was much, much younger... That girl had some frightening secrets. He almost shuddered thinking of them. Eck.
He folded his arms over his chest and continued staring off at nothing, allowing her to get her parents caught up.

Well, atleast Axel wasn't overreacting, which only put more points in his favor and more against her parents being there in the first place. So much for her day's fun time... She mulled this over a moment, before an idea hit her, and her ears perked up. "Uh, mom, dad, lets go okay? We've got alot to catch up on... Axel," She turned to him, smiling sweet and innocently, much opposed to her nature. A show for her parents typical of a woman like herself. "I'd hate to take Simon so soon... He was looking forward to it, do you think you could watch him and drop him of tonight? I'd really appretiate it..." A small smirk followed, carefully placed out of the line of her parent's eyes.
Simon smiled, relaxed for the moment until something riled him otherwise. There was just something utterly calming about the gentle sweep and sway of the waves, it's cool and refreshing feel, the pressures and so on and so forth. He couldn't find one thing about the ocean that he didn't love, other than he could barely be around it. The shark-boy allowed himself to get caught up in this line of thought as Nero let go, finding him to be in control of it all, and a strangely floaty fellow. It wasn't until the sound of a rush of bubbles caught his attention that he snapped back to reality, automatically grabbing Nero's shoulder to try and drag him back up. In the moment, Simon wasn't sure who got the scorpion out of the water, but either way he was slightly concerned. He wouldn't drown, but Nero could, and the huffing didn't make him feel good about that. "You okay?" he questioned, slightly guilty from not paying attention, which quickly manifested itself into a snapped "Be more careful, geeze."

The man's brow arched curiously, "Hmm..? Well." He paused a moment, and then let a casual smile spread across his face, "Of course. It won't be a problem." He settled back slightly, letting his fingers run through some sand in an idle sort of manner. She was some kind of woman.
The scorpion stared at Simon for a moment, eyes almost owl-like in his current shock. And then he turned a slight reddish color and turned to spit out some of the sea water that had found its way into his mouth. "Uckk." He wiped at his mouth with the back of his wrist, offering a small smile. "U-uh huh. I-I'm o-okay.." He was a little bit more of a trooper than he had been when he was younger, although he felt the hair beginning to stand on the back of his neck... This ocean definately had scary potential... But he'd let it go, for now. "'K-kay.. S-sorry, I-I will." He promised solemnly, drawing in a deep breath of the air he suddenly had a keen appreciation for. He was struggling to keep himself in an upright position, his body trying to throw him onto his back or belly again. His body certainly wasn't made for water.

"Thanks." She smiled sweetly again, turning to throw a Tshirt over her swimsuit and lead the two canines away from the beach and back towards her car. Still... she was inwardly moping about the loss of the day, but atleast she could make that up later.
Simon sighed, watching his friend's expression. he wasn't sure wether to feel bad or get mad at him, or both, which was always what ended up happening. He gave a grunt, and glanced away for the moment, trying to restrain himself from saying anything too mean in his worry. But now what? All he could think of was to scold Nero and-- Wait. "Ah!" he exclaimed, perking back up to the previous excitment about the water he'd held earlier. "I'll be right back. You'll like this." With that, he ducked down under the water's surface to dissapere for a good few minutes.
