One of the worst things I hear about Green Day is "I hate Green Day because they're so overplayed!" As if that's a reason to hate any band! The worst part is that the Green Day songs that get way too much airtime are ballads that don't represent Green Day's real sound at all! Before AI, everyone thought of Green Day as "that band that sings 'Time of Your Life,' which is sooooo overplayed!" Notice they don't even know the real name of the song stare .
Discuss: ~Songs that are played too much vs. songs that should be played more, or songs that should have been played but sadly most people have never heard (like "Letterbomb" and "Deadbeat Holiday) ~People who call "Good Riddance" "Time of you Life" ~People who bash Green Day just because the stupid radio stations don't know when to stop playing certain songs. ~People who misinterpret "Good Riddance" and don't realize it's a breakup song!

Yeah, I agree. but one reason they are overplayed is becuase like 4 people keep calling into the radio station and keep requesting it becuase its there 'favorite' song.
IF ITS YOUR FAVORITE BYE THE CD OR DOWNLOAD THE SONG ON ITUNES MORON!
But about Good Riddance being a breakup song: My mum was on my grades 8th grade graduation committe, they had to pick a song for us to walk into. But she wouldent tell me. It was Good Riddance. I walked in im like 'what the hell? your breaking up with us?' So afterwards i walked up to my mum and shes like , 'so did you like the song? I picked it' [[she obviously doesnt relize its a breakup song]] and im like 'well, so you guys are like totally dis-owning us, cuz thats a breakup song' And shes like 'oh...' It was interesting. Sorry for rambling, i think im done

Not so much now. Yay. I'm actually starting to like the album more than the time it was overplayed.

I say that the radio stations should play the hits and other songs of bands.

if anyone ever tells you green day is overplayed, ask them if they've heard on of the song off nimrod or 38/smooth etc
the only overplayed songs are the ones on american idiot like boulevard of broken dreams and wake me up when september ends, which in my opinion arent as good as the old songs.
rock on!
