Hello, again, this is your airline Captain, Harra speaking, oh, wait, we aren't on an aircraft, nevermind... OK, this is your Guild Captain, Harra speaking. Now then, I know that several people like to write, whatever it may be, they like to write, so... in honour of that, I have opened up a new subform for writing stories! There are only a few requirements, OK?
arrow First of all, please, be literate! Use a Spell check or something before posting, understand? If I find many spelling mistakes in your post, I shall delete it (but if there are only a few, I shall just correct them, OK? And if I don't know how to spell the word anyway, I'll just leave it), if you don't have a spell checker, you better have an editor who does, and of your editor doesn't have one either, oh boy, you better hope that I don't catch all of your mistakes! Also, please use " " marks when speaking italics when thinking to oneself, or when talking with others via the mind, and when highlighting certain words I have nothing really to say about bold and underlining, please, don't use any striking though!
arrow OK, we need limitations, lots of 'em! First of all, we have younger members in our Guild! Therefore, we trust you will put what age would be appropriate for reading your story. Please, if you write anything more than rated R, we will delete it, also, no going into detail about 'Inner Dragons' at work! I think I have already explained 'Inner Dragons', and I don't want to see them at work, OK? You can say they went to bed, and give hints that that's where it's going to go, but that's all, OK?
arrow Let us see, let us see...oh yeah, there are three types of stories you can do:
Origional Fiction- Your own story, your own characters, maybe even your own setting? Do what you want with this, pretty free reign...
Fan Fiction- Oh, the fun of Fan Fiction! Not as free reign as Original Fiction, we prefer you stay in character, and not create new characters in your Fan Fiction. Pretty much, Fan Fiction is a story on a movie/book/TV show, etc.
Role Play Fiction- Sometimes is the same as Fan Fiction, sometimes different, RP Fiction is when you write a story on an RP in this guild, it's pretty much a mix between Original and Fan Fiction, only, we ask that in RP Fiction, you stick with the characters already in the certain RP, and ask the owners of the characters and RP if you can write a story about them, OK?
Poetry: I forgot to add, we have poetry as well, this is pretty wide ranged, we don't ask for rhyming, if you don't want to, you don't have to! Pretty much, we ask that while you express yourself in your poetry, we ask you keep it PG13, anything more can, and will be deleted!
arrow Post only one chapter at a time, OK? Then, when you post up that chapter, post again right after that saying if you want comments or not, wait a day at least before posting the next chapter (only if you want comments!) Allow a few comments before posting again, also, ask for ideas from your readers! Often, they have really good ones, and have their own ideas as to what'll happen next!
arrow Also, we have a rating system, several, actually, and this is how they play out:
A number system: Out of 10, you choose a rating for a story, 1 being the worst thing you have ever read, 10 being the best, seem OK? Probably the easiest one of them all...
A percent system: Similar to the Grading System, you choose a percentage for a grade on the story, 0% being the worst, and 100% being the best.
A grading system: Used in duet with the Percent System, the grading system uses letter grades to calculate the quality of the story, here is a table of all the three and what they equal to:
A/9-10/90-100%
B/8/80-89%
C/7/70-79%
D/6/60-69%
(Don't ask me why there isn't an 'E' in the grading system, this is just how they do it at my school!)
F/5 and below/0-59%
arrow If there's anything not up here that you think should be, PM me about it, and we'll talk, OK?
