What the title says.
What do you think the future will bring for the band Nightwish and fans alike?

Maybe go a bit more in-depth and say what you think is going to happen too. This guild sometimes has dry spells. sweatdrop I have no idea, personally, on what the future will bring for both. I'm hoping it's nothing but good, though.

Er, hi...
I haven't posted yet here in the guild so - Jibs you will love me for trying to make this place more active!
I think Nightwish is going to put out at least two more albums (with two different singers) before they ask Tarja back. I don't know why Marco is still playing with them - doesn't he still play in Tarot? (a band I know nothing about really). I can also see Tuomas starting to compose music for movies if he hasn't done so already - or writing a full-length operatic musical.
Emppu and Juka, well I don't know. They're just really cool.

Erm no.. I don't think they will ask Tarja back, and honestly I hope they don't.
But you know what would be awesome? A new album without female vocals, Marco on clean heavy vocals and Tuomas on deep death vocals, that'd be awesome.

They need a female singer, that was what made them famous, unfortunetaly the egos involved didn't agree, marcelo became controling, tarja, submissive and diva like, and tuomas, just well himself. About the singer, Cristina Scabbia Turned them (lead from Lacuna COil) down because of the open letter deal. So that is up in the air, I also heard Tarja was planing on starting her own metal band, that should be interesting, eh?

I bet Tarja doesn't know the first thing about metal... She said herself on a DVD I have of them, "Sometimes I still forget the lyrics to our songs".
The b***h.
Marco and Tarja's voices blended so well together. The rendition they did of Everdream on "End of an Era" was so good. And when they did Phantom of the Opera.
Also, Nightwish with guy vocals is a lot closer to "Just another metal band". There's something that made Nightwish a very special band from the get go - and I think it was the way Tarja was a vessel to sing what Tuomas really couldn't. I honestly wish they could come to their senses - but I know it'll probably never happen that way.
As long as Tuomas makes it as a composer for epic fantasy films - and Emppu and Juka and Marko play thier instruments in studio I'll be set.

Well I know what you mean when you say Tuomas can't sing, and I agree, I remember 'Angels fall first' in 'Beauty and the beast' He sounds like Apu from the Simpsons haha. But have you heard their EP 'Wishmastour' ? He sounds way better, and when they sing 'Devil and the deep dark ocean' His voice is death-like and that sounds way better than his clean voice.
I still think an album without female vocals, just Tuomas and Marco would be awesome.

Agreed. I also think they could call in a favour from Juha Kylmanen of Reflexion (who Tuomas works with on an amazing side-project). Juha and Marco would be amazing (and kinda hawt... sweatdrop ).
