Ch.2
That day was unlike any other. There were people in uniforms all over the place and
neighbors passing whispers and wearing shocked faces that only lasted for so long. Lines of yellow tape surrounded
the door to
enter Jeremy's apartment. I really didn't care about all the people in the hallway and outside, I didn't try looking for my mom and dad, all I was doing was running around everywhere waiting for Jeremy to pop out somewhere. When I went outside, I finally spotted Jeremy(which wasn't very easy let me tell ya!) He was sitting in the back of a white van that people call ambulances(i think....), looking down with bandages all over him, his head hanged over his shoulder with his black bangs covering his blue eyes.'Is he crying?', I thought as I approched him that day.
His head shot up suddenly,starteling me a bit, making me jump. 'Yep he's crying!',I shouted in my mind when I saw his watery eyes....freash tears running down his face, flowing against his pale skin. He sat there breathing hyperly, sniffing every moment, and having little fits to stop crying. He looked like such a mess, like his mom. "J-Jeremy....what happened?"
He was calm as anyone can be when they cried but when he started talking to me he couldn't hold himself back anylonger,"M-my mom, s-she's...I*gasp* she was gonna hit m-me again, b-but some guy came through t-the window.......and..and she..and he
grabbed my mom and threw her across the r-room.", it
took a while for him to tell me everything that happened."I d-d-don't know what h-he did to my mom 'c-cause he th-threw me i-i-into the closet.", the second he finished he jumped off and hugged me tight. I was a little freaked out at first since I had never hugged anyone befor, but after a while I hugged him back. "I-I don't want that t-t-to happen to you.", he said. Right now, I was happy that Jeremy's mom was dead, but I was so angry that she had caused him so much pain. I hated her with everything I was, because Jeremy was my only friend in the world, and the only person who cared about me.
