The Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy, signed in 1993 by former president Bill Clinton, was implemented as a compromise with Congress which opposed a complete repeal of the ban on gays in the military. It is pretty much a way to keep people happy. If they don't ask about your sexuality, then they can't tell you that you can't be in the military.

Bone smuggler: Nickname for a drag-queen
Lemon: Another word for Lesbian
Switch-hitter: people who don't know they are gay yet
f**-Hag: A (usually straight) woman who socialises extensively with gay men.
Bug Parties: a party for men looking to get themselves infected with HIV (I think...this one was hard to find and may be wrong)
Twink: An attractive, boyish man

Who is Gene Robinson? I'm not sure of the name, but I'm pretty sure that the date of his approval within the church was Tuesday, August 5, 2003.
