I dunno where I got the idea... maybe I've been playing too much Mario Party. Anyway. I want to draw Princess Peach.

But not exactly the Princess Peach we've all come to love. No, no. A much darker, eviller, saucy Peach. Don't ask why. :s

I have this picture in my mind of what I want to have in the end, so I'll try to explain it.

Peach will in a black and white dress, considerably shorter than her normal pink puff dress. The crown will rest on the side of her hair in a Lolita fashion. I'm not exactly sure about the hair yet... maybe black. We'll see. Red lipstick... maybe some high-heels. I want to make sure that people do realize she's Peach, but I want her to have her own dark-vibe.

She'll be on a tiny grassy island, similar in style to the ones found in any Mario game. Scattered mushrooms.

For the background... not sure. Maybe just space and planets or something?

Now, I'm going to be posting my progress in this thread. If you have ANY suggestions, please share them. I want the end-result to look as nice as possible. D:

So far I just have the basic pose. I might make her a bit thinner, and add a longer neck.

So I got the preliminary face down... I think the hair looks Peach-y enough. If you see anything off about the face, once again, point it out. Or do a draw-over. biggrin

But can you make it look like Princess Peach with black hair? O_o The blonde hair is so recognizable to meeeee~

Myabe you could just give her black tips or a red stripe or something of the sort. heart

Yeah. I'm not sure about the hair colour yet... I know for sure I'm going to keep it in the Peach style, though. :3

humm, I think you should draw her more comic like - I think she's most recognizeable because of the form of her hair and eyes. And maybe just light grey for the hair? ^^ It would be light as the yellow is, but at the same way "gothic".

Yeah, like I said I'm gonna keep the shape of her hair the same. Grey sounds like a good plan.

I don't like the shape of her sideburny-hairs. They seem fake...ish? Somehow. I don't know. Her hair almost looks like it's facing forward but her head is at a slight angle (?) It's hard to tell, actually, if she's supposed to be looking right at me or if her head is tilted a little. The eyes and her sideburny-things say "Tilt", but her chin and the rest of her hair says "Looking right at you, you blithering fool", because that's what I think Saucy! Peach would say.

I think she looks adequately like Peach, though. I don't think you need to make it more "comicky" or anything, personally.

It's hard to tell, actually, if she's supposed to be looking right at me or if her head is tilted a little. Alrighty. I'll work on those side-burns. XD I think I meant to make her head tilting slightly... so I'll work on the hair a bit to make it look tilty too. :3

If you wanted to keep her recognisable as peach, but still want a more rocky, or goth lolly feel to it you could always try a more white blonde or a platinum blonde colour (:

Fixed hair up a bit and added a crown. I hope the hair conveys a more tilty perspective. I keep typing titly. :s

I love the face. Great so far. I can't wait to see it done, although I'd like it if you kept some of her costume..like a shortened version of the puff. Cool.
