Gosh it's been a while. Anyhow, they're both back, and together again...and just think of the possibilities!
...on the other hand, don't. *shudders* >.o
It was a nice day, albeit a slow one. Aspyn was asleep in the sun, on her back with her legs sprawled in all directions. Being a restless sleeper, she mumbled something to herself every few moments, creating quite an interesting scene for anyone who didn't know her.
"...don't touch the glitter, Chiyo...nononoahhh."

Tam, who had originally headed outside to find her mother and sister, saw instead- quite a sight. A pink skullmonkey, basking in the sun... and dreaming in it, as well. She laughed at Aspyn's slumbery mumblings, and trotted over to where her friend tossed, and whipped her tail in her face, hoping to tickle her through the holes in her skull.
"Hey, pinkie! Wake up!" She laughed, plopping down on the grass, crossing her tartan paws in front of her.

Aspyn's eyes shot open and she got an eyeball full of red and black tail-hair. Crying out, she jumps up. "Arrgh! Whossat...Tam?!" she squeaks. But, seeing her friend, she shook the sleep off and grinned, one eye squinted to clear away the fur. "Who you calling Pinkie, girlie?"

"I'm callin' YOU Pinkie." Tam laughed. "Look at you- it's like you upended a bottle of polish all over yourself." But even through the sarcasm, she paused, and reached forward to hug her friend. "It's good to see you. It's been a long time."

Aspyn laughed. "Or Pepto Bi--" and then she was hugged. It surprised her, and at first she didn't know how to react. But Tam was right, It HAD been a long time, and she'd missed her Tam more than she could say. SO she wrapped her arms around her as well, and squeezed, smiling. "It's so great to see you again."

The hug seemed to 'catch up' with Tam, in that she realized that she was being so open and real- even with a friend that she hadn't seen in forever- and she pulled back, padding her paws on the ground.
"Well..." she said, stalling... "wasn't that speeeecial." Then she grinned, back to her sarcasm. But curiousity couldn't help but come through her regular demeanor. "What have you been up to? Where have you been?"

Aspyn leaned back again and blinked rapidly. She hoped Tam couldn't see her eyes. She grinned and nodded, wiping an eye with a paw mumbling something about dust. "Speeeshiial." she mimicked. Then she looked up. "...well...nothing. Truly. It's wierd how nothing seems to hapen much around here now. Like everyone's asleep or something." she shrugged. "What about you, missie?"

"I know," Tam remarked, looking out over the calm lake. Even that was still, as if it mocked the quiet atmosphere of the headquarters. "Not that I've been around, either. We all went on vacation... can you imagine me, stuck in a van with a little kid all week? Milla laughs allll the time. ...How's your little sister?"

Aspyn giggled at the mental image. "Chiyo's well," she said. "Her speech is getting better each and every day."
