Who can honestly say that the way they act, and the things they wear, are original? D: I've been wearing black and I guess what's classified as 'Gothic' nowadays ever since Sixth grade >_>; I'm not going to change my style of clothing just because of some stupid labels/trends people have put ME into. If someone asks if I'm Gothic, or Punk, I will say no. Then I'll get a look like: confused What were they expecting me to say, yes? Why did they ask if that's what they assumed? D: I try not to wear brand names as much as possible. There are black clothes that look awesome without being bought at a store like Hotopic.
I guess, I feel like I am not original in the way that I dress, but I don't feel that it's my fault >.>; I remember in sixth grade, when NO-ONE wore black in the entire school but me, a lot of my friends, and a few random kids.... then slowly, everyone became either a "Gothic" or a "Skater" D: It was upsetting.
The way I think? Completely original : D I'm all me.

i'm always called gothic.(even by my parents...) and then my friends call me punk. and my other friends call me an indie. i just tell them all to call me weezer(my nickname) instead. there are so many labels people call each other, but everone calls themselves 'gangstas' or 'preps'. i don't know. it gets a little tiring, but i don't think it will stop anytime soon.

I usually just wear what the ******** I want...wich is usually a T-shirt and jeans....and I guess I would be considered a metal head because of my long hair and the music I like.

I'll admit my style is very unoriginal, simply because I veiw 'original' as a very bullshity term.
Nothing is original at this point because everything has been done.

Yeah, that's exactly what I mean. No-one dresses original anymore, simply because there are too many posers in the way. I mean, I'm not claiming to be anything, even thought I wear all black and such. It's just that, things like Gothic and Punk died somewhere in the 80's--- now it's being 'redone'. And it's not looking pretty. Bands that were Gothic and Punk in the 80's aren't even recognized. If someone wears all black, or a whole bunch of studded jewlery, they are automatically Goth or Punk. :/ Punks actually wore torn up clothes and saftey pins. They wore Raver colors in their hair, and were complete Anarchy. Who, (whomever claims to be punk) actually dresses like that? Who (whom ever claims to be Anarchy) actually KNOWS what that means, and KNOWS that they'd be getting arrested, doing drugs, and causing all means of havoc necessary if they were REALLY Anarchy? Scratching an 'A' with a circle around it into your arm, or into a school desk doesn't make you a badass, SORRY.

i should tell that to my "hardcore" friends. the reason they don't hang out with me that much is because i'm not "punk enough".

Compared to almost every girl in my year who now loves rock music in my year I am original. The girls just turned recently when they dated rock guys =S
I like the girls, but they don't really know anything.
I think I am quite original - because we don't have the money to buy the band merch. and I wear the weirdest clothes.
As much as I wish I had clothes from Alternative clothing shops - I don't.
I wear clothes that are handmedowns from my mum and charity shops. It's ok because in the clubs - not many wear clothes that are not from the ocal alt. clothing shops. Except me.
I'm original in my school - I have not met anyone else in my school who is like me. I love anime, final fantasy and nature programmes much more than music. I have final fantasy music in my mp3 player, I don't pine about love or think I am in love when I go out with guys. I am the person in my area that isn't a ned.
In originality in music - at times I am.
I listen to everything my parents have and I like it. So I've been listening to stuffs from the 60s to the present. I love every genre of music except urban, r'n'b, techno, dance....that is it.
I am probably not original in a lot of ways - but I am compared with loads of pupils in my school.

No one can be completely unoriginal the way you act has a big part of the way ypu dress as well, If I dressed goth and acting perky and full of coffe would I seem all that goth? Your personality has the biggest impact on your originality, personality is something you can't "wear". If you talk to one long enough, even if they try to hide it, it will show some.

Well, I try to be.
I change alot and I guess you could call that "my style"
god damn, I hate it when your parents call you "goth" or "punk"
psh, I rather be called goth or punk
than what my parents call me.
s**t, my parents call me "emo",
wow, that ticks me off so much!

basically, whatever i feel like wearing that day, though my style basically stays the same. i find that i am pretty 'original', especially when i buy earrings....no one ever has the same earrings as me and i get complimented on that. i basically stay away from brand name, cept for Jacob Connexion.....the clothes there fit me really well smile ....next best step if you want to at least try to be original.....learn to sew and design your own stuff

Being essencially curious
I remember asking a pair
of my aquaintances
what I was to them.

"Well, you're you,
I guess."

was their response.
I haven't really been labeled,
not just in this occasion.

It makes me feel
so happy and light inside
to have that slight
nonconformist in me...

..Or maybe I'm so bland
that there's no word
to describe it! O.O
