[ Phear the strange title! This RP is for Gyre and Levi only. You're more than welcome to watch, though! Thank you! ]
The sun was high in the Gaian sky as Luciel strolled about Durem's bustling shopping district. She needed decorations for her newfound charge's new room, and Gyre wanted to come along for the ride. The falcon Legend was able to walk now, keeping a hold of her guardian's hand in the crowd. Her wings beat to carry her forward when Lu would take large strides, forgetting momentarily about Gyre.
But Gyre didn't mind at all. She liked the air and the atmosphere, and they were headed for the dance shop in a few minutes anyway. She loved to watch the dance videos and touch the satin clothing her idols would wear. Lu didn't mind taking her, either.
"Well, time to go to your favorite store!" Luciel chimed, loving the way Gyre's face would light up when she spoke those words.

Not more than fifty feet away, Aki was hinting at something similar to Levi. The boy refused to be carried, as usual...holding carelessly to the end of Aki's scarf. It was the only compromise they could find...besides, he liked having his guardian on a 'leash'!
"Ahgoh? Now?"
"Yup! Soon! All I have to do is stop by the book store, and we're off!"
Levi pouted, tugging harder on the scarf. He didn't want to go to the book store...he wanted to go to the import store and look for his new dagger! After all, Aki had promised...
And one always had to keep their promises!
Twisting to peer longingly across the street to the brightly colored shop, Levi soon fell behind...coming to a dead stop and yanking Aki to a halt as well.
"Hugurk! Ack! Levi, what?!"
Loosening the scarf around her neck, the elf glared down at the boy...her expression tinged with worry. What had he-
"Dah! Pishin!"
Following his pointing, Aki squinted across the street...face brightening as she realized what Levi saw. It was the guardian and Legend from the other day!
"Would you like to go say hi?"
"Ahyah!! Now!!"
Aki laughed, grabbing his hand so they could dash safely across the street. Walking was sometimes a bit of a challenge with how long Levi's new pants were, but he refused to let her peg the cuffs.
"Eh! Eh pishin!!"
Levi called out happily, pushing through the crowd towards Gyre. Aki winced...the boy had no manners. Calling Lafe a kitty, and this poor Legend a pigeon! That...or he simmply didn't know any better.
"Hello! Hello there!"

Lu stopped in her tracks. Pishin? She looked around, trying to find someone her own height that might have called out such a thing. Blinking, she scratched her head, still turning. Gyre looked over and immediately saw another Legend! Levi, was it? Gyre blinked, smiled, and gave a wave to the little one. Well, they were both little, but still.
"Levi! Hewwo!" she called happily. The male Legend sure was a happy Legend. And he was quite fast on his feet for one so young.
Upon hearing Gyre call out to someone, Luciel looked down. OH! Now it made sense. And such a cute thing he was! And here came his Guardian! Luciel bowed to her, albeit not so gracefully. But at least it was an attempt.
"Hello! Pleasure to meet you and your handsome young man here. What're you guys doing out and about? Swashbuckling?" The mancubus giggled. Gyre just tilted her head, not knowing what "swashbuckling" was.

"Hello!" Repeating herself somewhat, Aki slowed her trot...finally reaching the other pair. Levi had long since abandoned his hold on the scarf, ignoring the fluttering cloth as it sank to rest against his guardian's legs.
Face brightening as the other guardian called him handsome, Levi turned and peered upward to shoot Aki a satisfied grin. Scratching at the back of her head, Aki could only shake her head with a rueful laugh. There would be no living with him after this.
Glancing back to the pair before him, the young pirate's brows knitted slowly. Once again, he had the strangest feeling about this Legend. This...Gyre. Tilting his head, he returned the wave with a growing smile. Strange...but then, strange didn't mean bad.
"Eh pishin! Ah spons'bo! No eck!"
Spreading his hands to prove his lack of an egg, Levi's smile turned into a full fledged grin. What an exciting day! Not only did he get to go shopping (on someone else's tab) he also got to talk to the winged one!
Again, with the pigeon. Consternation crept slowly across Aki's features. Glancing sheepishly up at Lu, the elf tried to summon an apologetic smile. "It's good to see you both as well! No, heh. No swashbuckling. We were just about to do some shopping, right after I stop by the bookstore! What are you two up to?"
Levi glanced up with a touch of panic to Aki as she spoke. The bookstore! That's right...she wanted to go there before they went to HIS store. Despair settled over him...it would be forever until she left that boring place!
In a moment of hope, Levi glanced to Gyre and Lu....dashing forward to make 'lift me up' grabby hands at the mancubus. He didn't want to go to the book store...he'd rather jump ship and spend the time with the pishin instead!!
Gasping as Levi darted forward, Aki blinked in amazement as Levi cuddled up to Luciel's legs. Why did he want picked up...? Sliding one hand over her face wearily, Aki forced a tiny laugh.
"I'm....so sorry about him. Um, Levi? Sweetie, they have their own shopping to do!"
The boy wasn't listening. Gazing up with huge, entreating eyes, the young pirate peered through his dark bangs at the other guardian...scuffing the sidewalk with one wrapped foot. He wanted to go with Luciel and Gyre!! Screw the bloody book store!!

This was too cute! Luciel couldn't help but grin as her leg was being thoroughly loved upon. Bending over, she playfully messed with is hair. "If Aki doesn't mind, I wouldn't mind taking you with me. We're just on our way over to the dance shop. Gyre loves to dance, and they have other costumes as stuff as well."
Standing up, she turned to Aki. "You're more than welcome to come with us, too, Aki, after you're done at the bookstore." The mancubus loved company. She didn't care either way.
Gyre watched as Levi pouted. Poor guy. The falcon Legend was more of the patient type. As long as they eventually got to where she wanted to be, it was fine with her.
But, she wasn't a pigeon. Where did he get such an idea? Gyre smiled and shook her head. Silly boy. She pointed to Levi to distract him from bothering the grown-ups while they...did whatever they were doing. "Pie-wat." she said, and then pointed to herself. "Falkin."
Maybe that would explain it? And what was "swashbuckling"?

Levi listened carefully, looking from Aki to Luciel with wide eyes. Did that mean...he didn't have to go to the bookstore!?
Aki chuckled, adjusting her scarf as she gave Levi an appraising look. "Well, if you two are sure you don't mind him coming along....he can be a bit of a handful. I'll meet back up with you as soon as I can! Maybe I can return the favor and watch Gyre for you someday!"
Bending down to give Levi a kiss on the top of his head, which he promptly tried to scrub off, Aki whispered to her boy. "Be good, little scallywag...this is a more important test of your responsibility than an egg ever was!"
As Aki straightened and stepped back once more, the young pirate stared at her with wide eyes. Test? Another test? He thought he was done with those!! Sighing dramatically, he shrugged. No help for it then, he'd simply have to avoid getting caught.
Actually being 'good' never occured to him.
"Falkin? Nah pishin?" Tilting his head at Gyre, Levi trundled towards the other Legend...leaving Aki behind. "Wha dat? Dansh?"
Aki waved, watching Levi wander away. Nervousness settled into the pit of her stomach, but she did her best to ignore it...waving to Luciel with a smile instead. Oh, she hoped he behaved himself!!

Waving to Aki, (and smelling her anxiety), Luciel calmly explained. "Everything will be fine, Aki! Don't worry!" Of course, saying that might only serve to make the elf worry more, but thinking ahead wasn't something Lu was very capable of. Thinking it over, she decided that saying anything wasn't the best idea she'd ever had.
Bending over, the mancubus scooped both Legend up. Levi sure was a cute one. As the guardian began the walk to the danc estore, Gyre continued to explain. Flapping her wings for emphasis, she tried to prove she wasn't a pigeon.
"Pidgins are gray. I am bwown." She stuck out a wing. Yup, no gray here!
Luciel chuckled. She tried to show Levi what dancing was without sing too big a vocabulary. She twirled them both around once, very gently.
"Dancing is...moving to music!" Maybe that wasn't a good explanation either...

Aki watched for a moment longer, smiling at Lu's reassurance. Turning to cross the street, heading for the book store, she took one last look before ducking inside. She'd have to find some way of thanking Luciel and Gyre...Levi could be such a handful when he wanted to be!!
Levi, meanwhile, was proving Aki wrong. Bouncing happily on Luciel's hip, he peered at Gyre with suspicious interest. "Wha? Pishin noh gre!! Shee?" Pointing to a raven perched atop a street light, Levi spread his hands. There was a black pigeon!!
Grabbing Lu's shoulder as they unexpectedly twirled, Levi chuckled...gasping at the motion. Dancing...that didn't seem so strange! It almost seemed familiar...like a dream he once had! Drumming his heels against the other guardian as they neared the shop, Levi laughed in pleasure.
"Uhgin! Uhgin!" He doubted the woman would comply, since they seemed to be at the store they were going to. But still...never hurt to ask!!!

Everything will be just fine. Luciel thought to herself. Levi was so cute, how could he possibly do something wrong? But then again, Gyre was cute, and had taken to biting her many a time when she first arrive din her care. Best to be wary, but still.
Gyre turned about to look at the 'black pigeon'. She blinked. That most certainly was not a pigeon! Those thingies were around the house every once in a while, and Gyre remembered asking about them. "Waven. That's a waven." she explained. And she should know! She wa s abird herself.
Stepping through the threshold of the store and greeting the owner with a wave of her head and a smile, Luciel set Gyre down. Immediately, the falcon Legend toddled off in the direction of the ballerina display. Above the dancer's shoes were the tutus. Gyre pointed to the one she liked - the pure white tut.
Luciel pointed it out to Levi. "That's a tutu. A dancer dress." Upon hearing Levi's request for another twirl, and seeing it as ample opportunity to demonstrate what ballerinas did, the guardian happily twirled Levi around again. It wasn't an unusual practice in a dancer store anyway.
"That's the one you want, Gyre? We have to come back when you're older. It's beautiful..."

Laughing as he was spun once more, Levi arched his back...the universal toddler sign for 'put me down.' Sliding to the ground, patting Luciel's thigh as though she were a horse in need of praise, Levi peered at Gyre.
Was that...a dress? The 'raven' lesson slipped away, replaced by that same creeping suspicion he'd felt upon his first meeting with this strange Legend. Why would Gyre want something like that?!
"Um...hmm. Dah?"
Pointing away from the dresses, Levi ambled towards a rack of bright embroidered scarves...tugging a green and gold one from the rack. Tying it around his waist, he spun all by himself...promptly losing his balance and ending up on his bottom with an oomp!
"Eh! Hart." Hard indeed...how could you keep your balance while spinning aorund like that?! Getting back up to his feet, Levi offered his hands to Gyre. "Uhgin! Co mah!"

Aki, meanwhile, browsed the bookstore as swiftly as she could...running her finger along the spines in search of the titles she was after.
"Dream interpretation, lucid dreaming, dream weddings-wait. No."
Still muttering to herself, Aki turned to the nearby table....flipping to the cross reference section. Dreams, messages, occult, astral projection....dream walking could be anywhere!! With a sigh, she flipped the reference shut and made her way to the occult section.
Hopefully she found the right books soon...she knew Levi was probably already up to his neck in trouble!!

Luciel just stared. Poor thing was twirling around like those teacup rides at the amusement parks. At least he was staying in sight. She shook her head, walking over to the books and instructional videos. She was limbre, but she couldn't so half the things featured on the front of the tapes.
Gyre turned around to watch Levi take a tumble. She giggled, and observed as he extended his hands to her. What was this all about? She didn't care much about whether or not it involved breaking things or getting in trouble. Levi wasn't that bad at all. In fact, she kinda liked the little guy.
"Again?" she asked. Co mah? She took the little pirate's hands. Maybe he wanted to dance with her? Since he didn't know much about it, the bird Legend appointed herself leader.
"I leed!" she announced and tried to stand on her tiptoes, like the ballerinas did. She wobbled, but held onto the low shelves with one hand for balance.

Chuckling as Gyre reached for a shelf, Levi took the Legend's hand once more...holding them both securely. Peering through his drifting bangs, he offered his widest smile.
"Leed? Wha? Noh, pin!!"
He didn't want to wobble, he wanted to spin and spin and spin! Still holding tight to Gyre's hands, Levi did just that. Planting his feet, using the weight of the other Legend to balance himself, Levi shuffled to the side faster and faster! If Gyre kept holding on, soon they would be going to fast they'd sail up into the air! Or so Levi thought.
All he could see was Gyre's face, directly across from his. Laughing with sheer glee, hair whipped to the side with the speed of their spinning, Levi tried not to focus on the whirling colors of the shop that blurred behind his new friend. They made him dizzy!!

"Finally! Dream walking!!" Snapping the book shut, Aki tucked it under one arm happily. It had taken forever to find, but perhaps it would give her a good lead!
Heading for the register, the elf slowed as something caught her eye. Those were unique looking books! Peering closer at the stamped and embossed leather covers, Aki realized that they were journals.
Going to one knee, gazing at the bottom shelf, Aki smiled. Well, this would be a very nice gift!! Al she had to do now was pick one!!

Luciel yawned. Okay, she can't do that...or that...or that... How depressing. All these things would take practice. Bleh. And practice took patience, which she did not possess right now. Turning around, the guardian caught a glimpse of the two Legends spinning around in circles! Just watching them made her feel dizzy.
Gyre was having the time of her life, though, loving the feeling of the wind rushing through her hair. Flapping her wings made the experience even more enjoyable, but it did make them go faster.
"Wheee!" she cried happily.
Luciel saw it coming, though. If they continued, they'd either fall, or knock something over. Stepping closer to them, Luciel found the opportunity to grab them both before they crashed into anything, or got hurt.
"You guys are more than welcome to spin around when there isn't anything valueable to break." Turning her head to her own Legend, Luciel calmly explained.
"Now, Gyre, I'm going to buy that tutu for you, but you must promise to not break anything, okay?"
Cheerfully, Gyre nodded her head. Fine with her. She's getting the tutu she wanted!

Staggering away as Luciel seperated them, Levi stared up in swimming confusion. The whole store was still spinning, even though he wasn't...silly store!! His confusion, however, stemmed from something entirely different.
Luciel was going to buy Gyre the tutu?!
Staring at them both as he staggered back a few more steps, bumping gently into a shelf, Levi shook his head at Gyre. That wasn't the right outfit...it was for a girl!!
Neither guardian nor legend seemed to be paying much attention, however. Tightening his newly acquired belt, Levi shook his head...wiping his mussed hair out of his face with the back of one hand. If Gyre wanted to be a sissy, there wasn't much he could do about it.
The issue didn't hold his attention long, however...few things did. There were a bunch of things to look at...no point making funny faces at someone elses fashion choices!!
Picking up a hefty padded plastic loop, Levi stared at it curiously as Gyre's guardian chatted with the person behind the counter. Peering at the picture on the box, Levi stuck one hand through it...giving his arm an experimental twirl.
How odd. It was like a REALLY big bracelet! What did bracelets have to do with dancing?! Shrugging, he made his way back to the pair...pausing to poke at a basket of assorted bells.
-ding ding- -clink clank- -GONG!!!-
Chuckling at the variety of noises, little hands curling into fists as he giggled, Levi finally caught up with his two companions at the counter.
"Hokay. Bowd. Ahgoh."
A dance store was only entertaining for so long!!

Eyes lighting up as she spotted the perfect thing, Aki lifted the journal carefully from the shelf...running her fingers over the delicate embossing. Perfect!! Stopping to grab a little quill writing kit from beside the resigter, Aki offered the attendant a smile and set her goods down. It really was perfect for Gyre, at least she thoug-
"Cash or charge, madam?"
"Oh, um...cash please!"
Smiling apologetically, fair cheeks blushing pink, Aki dug around in her purse for her money clip. She didn't notice the clerk's eyes go wide as she flicked past a wad of huge bills...finally handing one over. Ever since the Kofula incident, she'd gotten used to the idea of have extra 'spending cash.'
"Thank you!"
"Mmhmm, thank you! Have a good day!"
Tucking her change away, Aki folded the top over on the little paper bag...pushing the door to the shop open and squinting in the light of the afternoon sun. She'd been gone for quite a while...
Oh, how she hoped Levi was okay!

Luciel finished paying for the items and looked down to catch a glimpse of Levi and his conqest of the bells. She smiled, giggled, and picked both of the Legends up, placing the plastic bag around her wrist so she had both arms free.
Levi sure did have a short attention span!
Gyre clapped her hands happily. She could finally look like the ballerinas on the video tapes when she grew older! But for now, she was content with tying white scarves around her waist. She was still too small.
Levi did look at her funny, though, and to that, she raised an eyebrow. What a strange boy he was.
The Guardian walked out into the street finally. That wasn't so bad at all! She breathed in the fresh air and looked about for Aki.
