XD I thought of a title! ))
Keilana let out a sigh as she jumped out of bed. It was about noon, the regular time for the girl to get up, but she hadn't really cared the time. The entire girl cared about was food. Her stomach growled as she stood near her bed, some drool still hanging from her bottom lip. Shaking her head and wiping the bit of spit off of her lip she turned her attention to the restroom.
Walking toward the tile floored area; she picked up some clothes from the piles on the ground. Entering the bathroom, she got dressed, got ready, and flashed a cheesy smile to herself via mirror. After putting in her contacts, she grabbed her retainer case and put her retainer on as well. "Damned thing," The black haired girl muttered to herself as she closed the container and left the bathroom.
Exiting her duplex, she made her way to the Cafeteria. The warm air felt nice on the girl's bare midriff. Her stomach growled as she took a large whiff of air. "Guh," she muttered to herself as she entered the cafeteria finally. Searching for a good table rather than getting her food she rubbed her chin. "Lessee," she said as stood against the door, wondering.

Justin saw the girl enter the room. He looked up at her slowly and then quickly looked back down at the sandwich he was eating. He took a bite and closed his eyes. 'Mmmmm...' he thought to himself "This is so good." he said aloud not even realizing it. He then looked down at the plate and saw his mashed potatoes and gravy. "Oh! Gravy! Yum!" he exclaimed still not realizing he was speaking out loud. He glanced back at the girl. She was still standing there. He wanted to meet someone on this island but he didn't know what to say. He saw some of the people here and they frightened him. So he decided to stay away. She didn't look like she had changed much if at all. So he just waited for her to do something.
((Sorry...I know I am not the best RPer...lol))

(( It's fine. :B I'm not the best either! We'll be not the best at the same time! XD;;; ))
Almost immediately deciding on a table in the back, she heard a boys voice. Her ears perked at the sound as she searched the room. Giving a small laugh listening to the boy talk about his food; her mind had immediately changed on where to sit. "Well, I found my spot," Keilana stated to herself before pulling back some of her black hair. "I'll grab my grub first," she stated to herself as she put a hand on her stomach.
As she walked through the lunchline she grabbed some mashed potatos, since they were apparently yummy, and some steamed veggies (despite her great dislike for them). She made her way over ot the boys table and gave a smile, "Hey there." Looking around the cafeteria for a few moments she looked back down, "I was wonderin' if I could, sit here... or somethin', ya'know?"

Justin watched her coming over and tried not to notice her. Once she started talking to him, his heart dropped. He looked at her and nodded. He then said in a whisper almost while looking down at his food, "Yeah, you can sit there." He was scared by this point. He was shy around girls enough as it was. Maybe this girl could be his key to his worst fear.

Taking her seat, she took the retainer out of her mouth and placed it in its container quickly. Keilana was embarrassed about wearing a retainer, so she never liked to 'show it off'. Grabbing a spoon she dug into her mashed potatoes and took a bite, "What do ya know? The gravy is good." Shaking her head she looked to Justin with a smile. He didn't look too much older than herself, "A-Ah, so how are you today?" The girl, although very sociable, was horrible at starting conversations.

He noticed that she had moved around fast in her seat putting something away. He didn't catch what it was though. "Me? I am okay..." he said with a pause then asked, "What about yourself?" He hated talking to girls as it was. He was afraid they wouldn't like him and he would be an outcast. Yet this girl actually wanted to talk. So he gained courage and then said before she could answer, "I see you like the potatoes. They are good aren't they?" he said just giving her more questions to answer to hopefully bring about a conversation.

"That's good to hear," Keilana said then hopped a little at the questions. "Ah, I'm doin' fine. Actually, I'm kind've glad that you ain't, y'know, an animal-person thing, or nothin'." She paused for a few moments taking a few more bites of the mashed potatoes. "H-Yeah, they are good. I heard you talkin' 'bout them earlier when I was comin' into the mess hall," she gave a small laugh then grabbed one of the green beans with her hand. The girl began nibbling on it then sighed, "So, how ol' are you?"

He looked at her and said, "Well, me too. I don't wanna be one of those things. I am glad to see that you're not one either. I mean...you don't find to many normal people around here. Ya know?" he took another bite of his sandwich, swallowed and then asked, "I'm sixteen. How old are you anyways?"

"I actually think it'd be kind of cool ta become one of 'em. I mean, think 'bout it. One has the chance of becomin' like, their favorite animals or somethin'. Right?" She took another spoonful of mashed potatoes, nearly gagging on it as she heard the boys age. She felt as if she were shot, but she quickly caught herself and swallowed down the food. 'Well, at least, it'd be legal,' the girl thought to herself as she gave a smile and pulled back some of her stray black hair. "I'm thirteen years old. I'll be turning fourteen come November," Keilana bit her lip trying to think of a quick subject change. Snapping her fingers she smiled, "Ah, do you like video games? I do. I brought my DS with me.."

He bit into his sandwich one more time. He looked at her and his eyes widened. "What!?! I love videogames! I brought my Gameboy...well...my mom packed it for me while I was sick." he said looking down at his food. He started to feel a tear run down his face. He wiped it off quickly trying not to let the girl see him cry. He just dug the spoon into the potatoes and gravy and stuck it in his mouth. "Actually, I think it would be nice to be my favorite animal. A Harp Seal. That would be perfect. Better than perfect." he said quietly. Still looking at his food he still felt tears coming on, but he held them back.

Shifting a little bit in her seat she smiled, "That's so sweet of her. What games did you.. she... uh pack?" Seeing the boy wipe something from his face rather quickly, she nodded to herself. She sighed a little and took a sip of water before returning to her normal bit of smiles. "H-Hey, what exactly is a harp seal? Could you describe it or somethin'? I think I've seen 'em, but I'm not quite sure that I have. They sound adorable if anything."

Hearing her question he blinked a few times and looked up at her hoping that she didn't see him cry and he said, "Well, I have a few Pokemon games. I have always been interested in them. I know I'm are a little to old to be playing them but they are so addictive." He took another bite of his potatoes and sandwich and then said, "Harp seals are adorable! They are cutest when they are babies but they are still great nontheless. When they grow up they become gray and have black spots. But yeah, they are still one of the greatest animals. They are so graceful. I love them. If I had to become an animal on this Island I would so go with a Harp seal!" He was excited that he got to share some information with the girl. He wasn't so shy now that she was talking about things he liked.

"Pokemon, eh? Old school rules," Keilana said with a small laugh as she pulled back some of her stray hair which always seemed to be in the way. Grabbing a green bean she placed it in her mouth like a piece of wheat. Listening to the boy talk about the animal she got excited herself, "Well, they sound adorable! I don't think I've seen 'em, but I wish I have now." Looking to the ceiling she ate the rest of the bean. "So, let's see, do you like," Keilana paused for a few moments to think of something else, "puns?" A smile grew on the girl's face as she asked this. She herself loved puns.

He thought to himself and wondered, 'What is a pun?' Then he decided to speak up. "What is a pun?" he asked her. He was confused and wondered and was happy that he may learn something new today.

A twinkle seemed to be caught in her eye before she rubbed her fists. A grin on her face as she finally giggled, "A pun? Simple! A pun is like punishment for your ears." Keilana gave a large laugh. "Hee hee. Get it? Eh? Eh? Punishment? Heh!"
