Roleplay
Sora (Braska)
Maeko (Pales)

You can only remember falling, for what seemed like an eternity through pitch black surroundings. You feel have awake, as if falling down a rabbit hole this must be a dream. But soon as if gravity decided to stop playing with you, your legs move towards the ground and you land. Looking this way and that you see only more blackness.

Don?t be afraid the door is still shut. . . Words seem to appear in your mind you are startled but not afraid, the voice is ageless, sexless. As if the words were spoken directly into your thoughts.

There is so much to do and so little time. . .walk forward. . . as if against your will you take a step and then notice two doors identical to each other side by side. You look around and see nothing else.

Which door will you choose? One leads to the light, the other to darkness . . .Only you can decide. . . It is as if the voice is trying to encourage you to make a decision, but there is nothing to indicate which door will lead where. Taking a breath you reach out to grasp the door handle and turn the knob.

How do I choose? What....what if I pick the wrong one? These thoughts flooded Sora's mind. He could feel that this would be a heavy decision, and he wanted to pick the right door. But which one is "right"? Both seemed to look exactly the same, Sora couldn't notice any difference between them. Then he picked one, the left door! He wasn't quite sure why he picked that one, but he did. And as he walked forward he whispered, "Well, here I go." Something inside him felt like it was saying that he chose well, and with all his heart he hoped he had. He slowly reached his hand out and grabbed the knob of the left door. He turned it and pulled it open, waiting to see what was on the other side.

When the door opened, Maeko was behind it. She was quietly balancing a dagger she had summoned upon the tip of a slender finger. She looked bored, however upon noticing Sora the dagger fell with a soft tinkling sound and then disappeared. The young woman stood up a bit straighter and tried to look more imposing, as some strands of silvery white hair fell into her amethyst eyes.

"Hello Sora, I am Maeko, guardian of Light." She began, trying to sound very important and all knowing. Her voice soft and gentle, and she was trying very hard to be very serious. Though the mirth behind her eyes was all too easy to recognize. How she knew Sora's name couldn't really be asked as she wouldn't give him time to ask, she had another decision for him to make.

She pointed to a pedistal and simply spoke:

Power sleeps within you if you give it form.
Which power do you seek?
The gaurdian (shield)
The mystic (wand)
or
The warrior (sword)
You can only choose one.

As she went over his choices each item appeared floating over the pedistal, once all were mentioned they stayed there, but floated in a circle as if chasing eachother.

Sora felt confused, and wanted to know how she knew his name. But he was being rushed and again he had to pick. But this time there was three options. Another decision? Which should I pick this time? He thought to himself as his gaze moved from the girl to the pedastal with the items floating above it. He was fascinated by all the items, and their ability to float, he was also glad that he had picked the way of light, and now he felt confident in his next decision. "I pick The guardian." he said, then looked back at the women who introduced herself as guardian of light, waiting to see the result of his choice.

Once Sora chose the shield, the shield disappeared with a bright flash of light. The other items disappeared, but with more of a gentle fade to black.

When Sora turned to face Maeko she simply grinned at him and wiggled her fingertips at him, "Thanks, Sunshine." She gave him a wink, "T's time for you to go now. Though thanks for coming. No time for tea. I'll see you again though, darling. I can promise you that."

With a faint giggle she seemed to disappear from his sight, but it was more that he disappeared from hers and reappeared upon the beaches of Destiny Island. The sun was shining the breeze was pleasant, and all seemed in place. It almost felt like the encounter with Maeko hadn't happened, but it did..

Roleplay:
Kyru (Nychii)
Maeko (Pales)

Maeko was bored, damned bored even. She was over by the pedistal, dusting it off. Soon another decision would be made, an important one ... She felt anyways. She stopped during her dusting flicking her amethyst gaze over to the door. Maeko disappeared from her prior spot to her waiting spot with a soft chime sound. The scene was quite poetic really. A young woman dressed in white with silver-white hair. It was almost like she was an angel...

Upon gazing at the young boy she blinked a bit, he had something about him that was slightly different to him, something familiar perhaps? She shook her head, silvery hair splaying this way and that before regathering composure and wearing a warm, and somewhat flirty smile.

"Hello, I am Maeko. I am guardian of the Light." She made her introduction and quietly waited for the boy to make his. She seemed paitent and friendly.

So the door had led him to light, Kryu thought to himself half amused. This was definitly an unexpected turn of events. Asides from the Guardian of Light being completely different from what was imagined, he had also half expected to be blinded or dead if he did encounter it. Afterall, he had been born from darkness...

"My...name is Kyru," the boy said firmly, trying to reassure himself at the same time seeming confident. He brushed a strand of hair from his right eye, the golden one, "...and I don't know what I am."

She gave a small shrug, "Don't try to worry yourself on that too much." Is all she said in reply. She wandered over to the pedistal and gave it a nudge with her boot, and an array of items appeared, covered in shadow.

"As you well know, your destiny or fate is often up to you. You have to make decisions." She wrinkles her nose, "It isn't my job to bring you into the light. I am just here to protect the light, as well as to ... prod individuals such as yourself into yet another decision."

She went into an almost trance like state her hand lifting up to the pedistal. "Which power do you seek, young Kyru? Do you wish to shield others and be a guardian?" The shield first became visible, "Do you wish to use the mystical powers of magic that reside in just any vien?" The wand became visible after the shield, "Or do you wish to take up the sword and fight as a warrior?" The sword became visible and she went out of her trance and stared at the boy, "Choose wisely as you may only pick once...It may help you find your purpose and thus finding what you are if you insist."

Kyru stumbled back a few steps surprised. The meanings of each item engraved in his mind. Just like before, he would have to choose and not just between two like before, but three. Each held a different fate, a different destiny. Now he'd only have to choose...again.

Man...I hate choices, he thought to himself silently. So the light and the dark are alike in a way. They've both promted him forward with their riddles. They're both one and the same. He frowned slightly as he walked forward considering each item.

The shield...the Guardian. What had he to guard? He had been born into this world with nothing. He had nothing guard, nothing to protect. What use was a shield to him?

The wand...the Mystic. 'Magic,' the word appeared in his mind. Power, the power to save, the power to destroy. What had he to save? To destroy? His memories were scatter, not lost. They didn't need to be saved, just found. And 'destroy' images appeared in his mind, sad and probably best forgotten but they've returned. No, he didn't need anything that would destroy.

The sword...the Warrior. Whatever lays ahead, he was ready for...he'll fight. Yes, he'll fight to pave a road through this treacherous terrain, his road, his destiny, his fate.

"I choose the sword," Kyru walked forward and took up the weapon, his fate was sealed.

Maeko nodded and crossed her arms over her chest, looking almost thoughtful, "Your path, like anyone elses' will be difficult. Just remember, if you need help don't be afraid to ask it of your friends. Yes, you two will make friends where you are going. It'll be hard not to." She gave a light grin and a wink, "We will meet again. I am sure of it."

By this time the other items had disappeared as well as the sword.

"Don't worry. You will have a fine weapon of your own. One meant for a determined warrior such as yourself." The tone of her voice was sincere, not mocking. "Perhaps I will present one to you at a later date. I specialize in such things."

With that she waved at him, "Good luck." Then she faded from her view, though it was more like she disappeared from hers. She turned her back to the spot where he was and seemed to contemplate...

Suddenly, the next thing the boy knew he was ankle deep in the waters of destiny island. The chill seemed to be what woke him from the supposid daze he was suddenly in. Whatever that was it seemed like a dream...

Roleplay:
Marukka (Jayoku)
Maeko (Pales)

Marukka sat on one of the palm trees watching the waves flow in and out on the sandy beaches of Destiny Island. So far it had been quiet...and this disturbed her greatly. she could feel the menance drawing all around them and yet htey havn't made a move as of yet, what could they be waiting for?

Maeko walked unto the scene, literally fading in as if walking out from behind some invisible curtain. She stopped under the tree where her sister rested but said nothing for a moment or two, "I could look for whoever we are supposed to find here, but I think you're having far too much fun, if you want to admit to it or not." She said airily.

Marukka didn't look down it was her sibling instinct that alerted her to her sisters presence even before she had completely materialized. "I am having fun . . ." she said her voice void of emotion, "though that riku kid seems to think i am out to kill them all . . ." she smiled as she said these words.

She leaned on the tree and smirked, "Maybe you are, but I wouldn't let you do that. You know it too." Maeko stared straight ahead, "Mother would disapprove as well me thinks. It isn't what we are here for you know." She glanced up at her sister a look of concern passing her gaze, as much as she enjoyed antagonizing her she was worried about Marukka, especially lately.

Marukka went silent as her siste rmentioned their mother. Her random disspaerance had often caused her nightmares when she was younger, and tormented her more often now. "It wouldn't be much fun doing that now anyway . . ." she replied lamely.

She shrugs, "What fun is it to outright kill someone when it is better to slowly torture them throughout their life?" Maeko straightened her posture a bit, "I have been doing some reasearch. About that keyblade thing. Still not finding much..." She scrunched up her nose slightly, "Wonder what I am missing." She glanced up at her again, the inevitable insult was bound to come, or was it?

Marukka finally looked down at her sister her eyes sparkeled with a touch of malice but even as shestood up and prapared to jump down she replied. "You seem to know the way i work sister of mine , it is a shame you don't act upon your instincts . . ."

She looked down for a moment and sighed, "Maybe it is because I fear hurting you. We may be different but we are still sisters. You and I. We were close once. Long ago." Maeko said softly, "Sometimes I see the old you before you turned cold. I don't want to lose whatever there is left of you." It almost seemed like a plea.

Marukka choose to ignore her siblings words though deep somewhere in her soul she felt a twinge of sadness but she didn't reconize it or show it. "Fear is something you should over come. Less it comes back to kill you." she said as she landed and started to walk away.

She stepped after her, "To kill me is to kill yourself. Is that what you want Marukka?" Maeko asked after her, she felt almost desperate, pleading after her sister like this. "I do not want to die..There is so much we need to do."

Marukka stopped but didn't turn to look at her sister. "you probably already know the awnser to your question, I don't need to say anything. " She looked back to her sister and tossed her 4 cards, 3 of which were blank and one that had a image of a feathern quill pen on it. "I want you to find out the reason why these 3 cards aer blank, as well give the card with the pen on it to the owner. . .I believe you met her. . .Namine it was?"

She caught the cards and blinked over at Marukka and raised an eyebrow, Namine..Namine...Ahh the confused girl, "Yes..Namine...Much like Kyru, confused about who they were...and their purpose." She shrugged, and looked the blank cards over, that was queer, "I'll see what I can do.." Maeko didn't reply to her sister's first comment, how do you reply to one that was now practically a stranger to you

Marukka took a deep breath and then released it slowly. . "We need to get ready, despite the fact i don't care about anything that happens here, the darkness is coming. it is closing in around the island quickly. "
