Lord Braska
Your name: Lord Braska
Character bidding on: Sora
Your bid: 8k
Your rp response:

As his feet slowly reached the floor again, Sora took some time to look around. He couldn't see much, really nothing at all. When he turned around further, he was surprised to see a door. "Hm.. I wonder where this leads?" He said as he walked up to it. He placed his left hand on the door and gave a little push, but it wouldn't give. "I wonder if the Keyblade will open it." Sora took a few steps back and lifted the Keyblade. Nothing. The Keyblade didn't react. "I guess not...What am I gonna do now?" Sora sat down where he was and tried to think. He looked around for inspiration, but there was nothing but darkness. And the darkness began to affect him, he felt alone and helpless. He even began to feel a sinking feeling in his heart, and he closed his eyes. Then in his mind, came a face, a familiar face. It was Kiari! And behind her was Donald and Goofy! They were waving at him and calling him onward. Without his doing, the Keyblad lifted up in his hand and pointed towards the door. A bright light shone from it and struck the door which inturn lit up. Bright stars and hearts shot from the keyblade, the light from them beamed around and onto Sora. He opened his eyes and gazed upon the keyblade and followed the lights to the door, which was now opening with a brillant light shinning through. Sora quickly jumped to his feet and headed to the door. "Now, to find out whats on the other side."

You can only remember falling, for what seemed like an eternity through pitch black surroundings. You feel have awake, as if falling down a rabbit hole this must be a dream. But soon as if gravity decided to stop playing with you, your legs move towards the ground and you land. Looking this way and that you see only more blackness.

Don?t be afraid the door is still shut. . . Words seem to appear in your mind you are startled but not afraid, the voice is ageless, sexless. As if the words were spoken directly into your thoughts.

There is so much to do and so little time. . .walk forward. . . as if against your will you take a step and then notice two doors identical to each other side by side. You look around and see nothing else.

Which door will you choose? One leads to the light, the other to darkness . . .Only you can decide. . . It is as if the voice is trying to encourage you to make a decision, but there is nothing to indicate which door will lead where. Taking a breath you reach out to grasp the door handle and turn the knob.

Please indicate which door you open in a rp response. There is 2 a left and a right one. There is nothing to indicate which will lead where. When you respond you will then be either contacted by Pales or Jayoku.

How do I choose? What....what if I pick the wrong one? These thoughts flooded Sora's mind. He could feel that this would be a heavy decision, and he wanted to pick the right door. But which one is "right"? Both seemed to look exactly the same, Sora couldn't notice any difference between them. Then he picked one, the left door! He wasn't quite sure why he picked that one, but he did. And as he walked forward he whispered, "Well, here I go." Something inside him felt like it was saying that he chose well, and with all his heart he hoped he had. He slowly reached his hand out and grabbed the knob of the left door. He turned it and pulled it open, waiting to see what was on the other side.

KHFM
When the door opened, Maeko was behind it. She was quietly balancing a dagger she had summoned upon the tip of a slender finger. She looked bored, however upon noticing Sora the dagger fell with a soft tinkling sound and then disappeared. The young woman stood up a bit straighter and tried to look more imposing, as some strands of silvery white hair fell into her amethyst eyes.

"Hello Sora, I am Maeko, guardian of Light." She began, trying to sound very important and all knowing. Her voice soft and gentle, and she was trying very hard to be very serious. Though the mirth behind her eyes was all too easy to recognize. How she knew Sora's name couldn't really be asked as she wouldn't give him time to ask, she had another decision for him to make.

She pointed to a pedistal and simply spoke:

Power sleeps within you if you give it form.
Which power do you seek?
The gaurdian (shield)
The mystic (wand)
or
The warrior (sword)
You can only choose one.

As she went over his choices each item appeared floating over the pedistal, once all were mentioned they stayed there, but floated in a circle as if chasing eachother.

Sora felt confused, and wanted to know how she knew his name. But he was being rushed and again he had to pick. But this time there was three options. Another decision? Which should I pick this time? He thought to himself as his gaze moved from the girl to the pedastal with the items floating above it. He was fascinated by all the items, and their ability to float, he was also glad that he had picked the way of light, and now he felt confident in his next decision. "I pick The guardian." he said, then looked back at the women who introduced herself as guardian of light, waiting to see the result of his choice.

KHFM
Once Sora chose the shield, the shield disappeared with a bright flash of light. The other items disappeared, but with more of a gentle fade to black.

When Sora turned to face Maeko she simply grinned at him and wiggled her fingertips at him, "Thanks, Sunshine." She gave him a wink, "T's time for you to go now. Though thanks for coming. No time for tea. I'll see you again though, darling. I can promise you that."

With a faint giggle she seemed to disappear from his sight, but it was more that he disappeared from hers and reappeared upon the beaches of Destiny Island. The sun was shining the breeze was pleasant, and all seemed in place. It almost felt like the encounter with Maeko hadn't happened, but it did..

Sora opened his eyes and they were greeted by the sunlight. He could feel the soft sand of the beach under his feet. Was it all a dream? It felt like a dream, because it didn't feel quite real. Then he was pulled from his thought by the voices of his friends. They were calling him to come play with them. "Ok! I'm coming!" He called back as he ran off to join them.

RP with Marukka! (Sora learns to summon his shield!)

jayoku
Marukka stood on the top of a palm tree, it swayed under her weight but she kept her balance fairly well. Moving a strand of a hair that blew into her eyes she cast her gaze about searching for on that she hadn't given a card too yet.

Sora was out for a walk along the beach, he enjoyed the fresh air and sea breeze. As he walked around the cove and neared some palm trees, he saw a girl standing on the top of one. She was clad mostly in black, and he couldn't remember ever seeing her before. "Uh, Hello." He called up to her, hoping she was friendly.

jayoku
She looked over her shoulder and down towards the sound of the voice. She smiled and then turned she jumped down and landed squarely on her feet. She looked to him and smiled a bit. "Hello Sora.. . this would be the frist time we've met hasn't it?" she said with a purr. SHe moved over closer to Sora like a preditory cat checking out her prey.

She knows my name? Sora thought to himself, as he stood in amazement of her gracefull landing. "Uh, yeah I think this is the first time I've seen you." He kept his eyes on her as she shortened the distance between them. "Since you already know my name," he gave his trademark goofy smile, "Whats yours?"

jayoku
"Its Marukka. . ." she replied as she looked the boy up and down. This was it...she could feel the recoil in her body she didnt' want to get any closer to him, and yet she must. "Well Sora, i have a gift for you." she said as a card appeared between her pointer and middle finger. "Do you want to know what this is?" she said as she turned the card around. On the face of the card it revealed a sheild on it.

"Thats an interesting name, Marukka." He wanted to ask her more questions, like where she was from and how she got to Destiny Island. But she quickly turned the conversation to a card. "A gfit? For me?" Sora was begining to get a little creeped out, how did she know his name, and why did she have a gift for him? Sora stared at the card, he could see a glimpse of a marvelous shield on one side as she flipped it around her fingers. Sora nodded his head to answer her question, "I want to know."

jayoku
"Do you remember a dream you may of had? You were forced to pick an object to fulfill your destiny. " She moved over to him and put on her sweetest smile for him, it sickened her. "This card will help you." she hoped it would also bring about his downfall. "You choose to be a gaurdian, to protect those you love and cherish dearly." She was fairly tall, since she was an teenager, but she seemed...friendly enough. It was forced.

Sora's jaw dropped! How did she know about his dream? He hadn't told anyone about it! He wasn't even sure if it was a dream. "How do you...." he stopped, "Yes, I remember picking the shield." He tried to smile back at her, but he got the feeling her smile was rather forced. "How will a card help me?"

jayoku
She placed the card in his hands and then moved a bit away from him before turning to face him agian. "The card is a manifestation of your desire to help people. With it you can summon a sheild." she explained slowly and carefully. "Iknow you name because the person you met in your dream was my ..sister." she explained hoping he would not freak out on her.

"A manifestation of my desire?" He looked over the card, turning it over and examining it throughoutly. "How do I summon the shield." He asked, with sincere curiosity. Then he looked back up at Marruka, and stared into her purple eyes. "Your sister? What is going on here? I want to know!" It felt confused and lost, like something much bigger than him and all of Destiny Island was going on.

jayoku
Marukka let out a small sigh and then brushed her hair out of her face. "My twin sister, she was the one you met in your dream." she explained slowly. "you can summon the sheild by connect with the card." looking at his puzzeled expression she went on further. "try to visualize the sheild in your hand. Use all your imagination and soul you can."

Sora tried to take this all in. "So your sister had me pick and now you're giving me a card of what I picked." Sora stared at the girl for a moment. "Alright then. I'll try to summon it!" With his left hand he tightly held the card and stared at it, taking in all aspects of the shield. Then he stretched out his right arm and made like he was holding a shield. He used all the imagination he could muster and attempted to see the shield in his hand. From the corner of his eye, he could see the card start to glow. But that was it, nothing else happened. He gave Marruka a dissapointed look.

jayoku
Marukka sighed again, "don't look at me like that, just try again." she said a bit impatiently, she couldn't bare to look at him. He had the expression of a puppy that had just been kicked. "just try to focus a little harder, and try not to clasp the card so tightly. you don't want to wreck it." she said a bit more encouragingly.

Sora nodded his head briskly. "Alright!" He took a breath, then loosened his grip on the card. He focused on summoning this shield, more than he had focused on anything that didn't have something to do with Kairi. Then he saw it again, the card began to glow. But his time it grew brighter! He smiled. The card was glowing even more now, it was hard to look at it directly. Then it shattered! A million little pieces of glowing card floated through the air for just a second. All the pieces started to gravitate towards Sora's right hand. And with another bright light it materialzed into the shield that was on the card. Sora's eyes glowed with happiness, "I did it! I did it! I summoned the shield!"

jayoku
Marukka had to sheild her eyes from the intensity of the glowing bits of card. when it materialized in Sora's hand she could only mentally roll her eyes. Excellent another goody two shoe was able to summon the weapon. "Great. . ." she said even though her tone seemed to be less than impressed. "just a warning, those who have a higher strength of heart will be able to dimiss your weapon." She commently seriously, "and the weapon will only last as long as your heart is strong. the more you practice summoing it the faster teh response time will be."

Sora was excited now, though he still wasn't quite sure what was going on. And he wanted to know more about Marukka and her sister. "Alright then, I'll just have to practice untill I'm really good at it!" But then he thought about what she said, "Why would someone with a strong heart want to dismiss it? Its a good weapon, isn't it?"

jayoku
Marukka tried to hold back a malicious grin, "My poor innocent boy, not every person with a strong heart is necesscarily a good person." she explained. "I am just giving warning, you want to have control over the power, having anyone dismiss it during battle is a bad thing." she said idly bringing up a hand towards Sora her fingers flexed in the very slightest as the sheild then burst into countless shining lights snf reformed into the card in sora's hand. "See?"

Sora stood and stared at the card again. He could feel that she was powerful, at least more powerful then him, but he was still sad that she had returned the shield to its card form. "I guess I really will have to practice it more. But....." he paused for a moment, "Why do I need the shield, theres nothing bad on the Island."

jayoku
She didn't want to warn him, but she knew if she didn't her sister would. "Sora, it is not time to worry, but something is going to change, fate is not something you can avoid . . ." she said her sentence drifting off as she recalled her own path. "Practice perhaps with others, I have already given a card to your friend Kairi. . ." she stopped and then looked at Sora. "Perhaps you should learn how to dimiss 'others' cards. . ." she said slowly, relunctantly.

Fate...What is going to change? He asked himself feeling just a little nervous. Then Sora's eyes widened and his jaw dropped. "Kairi too!?" He would feel bad for dismissing anything of Kairis' but he felt a tone of seriousness from Marukka, and knew for some reason it must be done. "Okay," he looked down at the card again. "Its true you can't run from your fate, so I will practice, and be ready for when it comes."

jayoku
"Good boy," Marukka said as she withdrew three throwing daggers fron her boot. "these are my weapons. . ." She said turning the blades which glitned dangerously in the sunlight. There was something malicious about them, the very edges seem to dance with the lust for blood. "I want you to TRY and dismiss them." she said a snug smile on her face. "Picture in your mind the card they belong to.. . use all your heart." she said, though she knew he wouldn't be able to do it on his own, she would let him dimiss them anyway,

"Alright!" Sora said as he took a firm stance. He focused in on the three daggers she was holding out for him. Then he pictured a blank card that looked like his. He tried picturing all the daggers on the card......nothing seemed to be happening. He gave a stern look, then tried again.

jayoku
Marukka knew he wasn't strong enough to do this without help, and so she lessened her hold on the summoned weapons, quite a bit until they started to glow faintly and dematerialize very slowly. "Good. . " she lied, "now focus harder, think about not wanting those weapons at your throat, or stabbing into a friends back, dimiss them from reality and back into a harmless peice of card."

Her words invoked images in his mind, pictures of the daggers at Kairi's throat and Riku's back. "NOOOOO!" He screamed at the draggers, letting out a burst of energy! And the daggers too bursted. They return to their card form. Sora stood still, tired now.

jayoku
Marukka nodded her head thoughtfully the impact of the explosion fromt he daggers had left her fingers tingling for a bit. He had some power this boy, "Very good," she said wearily. "but you should rest, summoning and dimissing cards are tiring." she commented with a dismiss of her hand, she placed the card in her left boot. Noticing something gold and glittering in the sand underfoot she picked it up and dusted the sand away. The golden token replused her and she tossed it towards him. "here. . . you never know when this could come in handy."

Sora agreed with Marukka, he was tired and wanted to rest. "I think a rest would be a good idea." He said as he looked back up at her. He watched her put her card away and then pick up the token. He reached his hands out for it as she tossed it his way. "Thank you. And....thank you for helping me get ready for my destiny." And walked passed her, in the direction of his house. "I won't forget, and I'll keep practicing!" Then he turned and run off for home.

jayoku
Marukka watched him leave and then sighed, that boy certainly was trusting. He may leanr to regret it. Turning she then faded away and headed for her own home for a good rest.

RP with Kairi! (Through PMs)

Off on his own, Sora had been practicing to summon his shield, just as he had done for the past few days. He found a nice secluded cove under the dock that could easily be covered by a large rock. Within this cove he stood practicing until he either got bored with it, wanted to eat, or play with the others. But he was determined to be good, very good, at summoning his shield.

It seemed to be easier for him now, though it still took a while to summon it. As the shield shown brightly, then returned to his card form, Sora sat down and closed his eyes for a moment. He really wanted to practice with someone else, but he hadn't seen any of them much lately. So he stood up, and went back to practicing.

Unknown to Sora, the light from the summoning could be seen peeking out around the rock that covered his cove.

Relean
Kairi was on one of her walks as usual. She was watching the see wondering about the girl she had met before. She was dark...why would Kairi ever follow darkness? She shook it off a bit. She didn't care what door she choose she would make her own path and she knew it was light. Her heart wasn't weak.

She sighed to her self a bit as the wind blew her hair into her face making her head turn away from the waves she was watching. She then spotted the light and decided to check it out. She walked over to the small cove and peeked in before stepping into it. She stood behind Sora now.
She watched him a bit quietly wondering when he would notice she was there.

Mid-summon, Sora thought he heard something behind him. He quickly turned around, losing focus of the shield which returned to its card form and he let it drop to the ground. The second he saw who was behind him his eyes lit up. "Kairi!" He smiled, "I'm glad you're here. I wanted to ask you something."

Relean
Kairi smiled and waved slightly. She was glad to see Sora. It was less windy in the small cove too which she was also happy about. She took a step forward. "Well, I'm glad I found you then. So what did you want to ask me Sora?" She asked looking down at her feet for a momment before looking back up at him.

"Well, you see.." he started. "I heard you have one of these too!" He bent down and picked up his card again so that Kairi could see. "I don't know whats going here, but we both have a card, and I'm pretty sure we were both visited by strangers who taught us how to use them." He looked down, partly in frustration and confusion. "Marukka suggested that I practice with someone. I don't know whats coming, but I don't think it'll hurt to be prepared. What do you say?" He looked back up at her earnestly, "Practice with me?" Then he gave her one of his trademark "cheesey" grins.

Relean
Kairi blinked a momment and looked at the card he held. It was different than the card she had. She wondered what door he took, what path. She chuckled thinking of course Sora got the right door. She riffled through her small pocket and pulled out her card.
"Yes I got a card too. It's a little different but, praticing would be fun."

Kairi closed her eyes for a second as she held her card in her hand she focused hard and in a flash her wand came to her hand. She was pretty quick at this because, she had the will for it. She opened her eyes smiled at Sora keeping her wand in her hand.

Sora stood stunned, kairi's card was beautiful and it produced a majestic wand. "Wow, thats awesome Kairi!" He wanted to show her that he too could summon his quickly. He focused on his shield and seconds later it appeared in his hand. "Now this is the part I don't like, she suggested we dismiss each others weapons." And with that, he tried focusing on Kairi's wand, and tring to picture it back in its card for. It took a little longer then his summonings, but it soon began to glow and burst! Then it returned to its the card. "Sorry." Sora felt bad for dismissing something of Kairi's, but he knew it had to be done.

Relean
((It's okay I understand.))
Kairi smiled. "It's okay it's pratice after all..." she looked at Soras shield and made it return to the card. She blinked as she thought it would of taken her longer. She looked down at the sand agian and back uo at him. "What do you think is going to happen? I just hope we can all stay together..." she sighed a bit softly. She didn't want to be without Sora and Riku...

His shield dissappeared quickly, he wasn't really focusing on it anymore. He was focusing on Kairi. "I don't want to be without you and Riku either!" He stepped closer to her, "No matter what happens, I'll always protect you kairi." He lifted up his card, and summon his shield. "Now try again." He knew it wouldn't be as easy as the first time, cause now he was concentrating on it.

Relean
She smiled. Sora had always been so kind. He was silly at times but, so was everyone. He didn't seem as rude as Riku either. Not that Riku was bad just a little rude at times. She shook her thoughts away and looked at the summoned shield. Her gaze was intent on it as she willed it away. It took a little longer this time then the first.

Sora was surprised it was still so easy for her to dismiss his shield. "Good! Now let me try again!" He grinned and put his card back into his pocket and prepared to dismiss her wand once she summoned it. He liked her wand very much, and almost wished he had chosen a wand. But he was stilly happy with his protective shield. He wondered if she could cast magical spells with it, he decided he'll ask afterwards.
