My Birthday's coming up, and I'm at a lost as to what I'll be getting.
Right now, there are only three games I have actually asked for:
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes (Recent MGS fan from MGS3...)
Harvest Moon: A Wondeful Life Special Edition (I'm not absolutely sure if it came out of Japan. I just want it for the cute loli Lumina...)
Lost in Blue (DS)
I'm primarily drawn to Action and Shooter games. Long action games, mind you. Infact, I love long anything, really. I can't stand games where 1player lasts about 5 hours. Feels like I wasted my money.
Also, if you give me a good enough and indepth strategy game (Turn-base or real time), I'll play it.
I also have a pretty high-end computer, so don't be afraid to throw out some higher-end PC games.
Things I will NOT play:
Real-Time or Turn-based Anime RPGs. The only exception is strategy games as I said above. I'm sorry, but I simply hate them with a passion. There are only two exceptions: Tales and MegaTen. But I already have all of the english copies of both those games, so don't bother listing them.
MMORPGs. No. Just no. Don't even bother. I will throw them in the garbage if I get them. Won't even bother holding them in my hands long enough to sell them at Gamestop.
~~If you want to recommend a rather popular game and you think I'd already have it, list it anyway. I tend to miss out on Cult-popular games (Like Disgaea, but I doubt I'll find that soon.)

Blood Will Tell
Most underated Action game on the PS2 and fairly cheap as well.
Blood Will Tell is the story of a boy betrayed -- a boy given up to demons in 48 parts for the promise of power. This child of fading humanity was abandoned by his father after the pact with darkness went awry. He was later found by a merciful and sympathetic inventor who blessed his broken body with a stunning array of half-magical prosthetics. Now his arms, legs, ears, and 42 other miscellaneous appendages and organs have been replaced with mechanical devices like detachable hands that hide built-in swords and knees that open to reveal devastating cannons. You take command of this reformed champion samurai and venture across many ancient lands to vanquish 48 demons and lesser-demons, all inspired by Japanese mythology. Your quest is to reclaim your humanity and reap the rewards of vengeance.
So Basicly its A mix of DMC/Onimusha and Beyond good and evil
Hard as hell to preety long and has good replay value. its kinda fun seeing the main chacter rip his leg off and firing A big a** Cannon at A demon.

Nono, pick up the first and third Onimusha games. They were both great, but the second sucked.
The Jak series is also high on the list. The first game was more Mario-like, while the second and third were more action/shooter like. But all three were very fun.
Consider Ape Escape, as well. I loved the first one, and had plenty of fun with the third. Who would've thought that a game about catching monkeys would be so addicting? Ape Escape 3 also has the greatest bonus feature in 'any' game. Mesal Gear Solid.

MGS: The Twin Snakes is ******** amazing, especially if you never played the original. I strongly, strongly suggest getting it. The story alone is well worth picking it up, but the MGS2 graphics and combat system make it very...just freaking buy it.

my nastalgia and old school tendencies are flaring.... so here are a few great games.... btu they may be a little hard to find
Xenogears
Simply put one of the best turn based RPGs out there, the Mech based fights require planning and strategy as yoru attacks actually consime fule and some bosses even drain that fule. The story is simply top notch and the characters possess a depth that is quite rare in most current RPGs (with the exception of Shadow Hearts and the SMT titles that is)
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
A great entry to the Castelvania sereis and one that stands the test of time with flying colors. There is a definite reason that many fans claim this is possably the best Castlevania to date and it shows.
I would recomend the Persona games...... but you said you already have all the SMT entries...... but if you only meant the SMT titles proper, then definatley take a look at Persona and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment
and the supreme irony..... they are all PS1 games

My Playstation 2's on its last hinges, but I'll definately look at all the PS titles you guys have shone me.
I only have DDS and the English SMTs. But I've been meaning to get the Persona games for a LONG while. But like you said, they may be hard to find...
