Whispers of the Asian Chimera: Years ago, tales whispered among a few reclusive villages in Japan about a magnificent creature called the Kiritsune Ryu. This being was part Kitsune, part Dragon, and part Ki-rin. Very little is known about the creature. She was very rare fae-being that only showed herself to a select few and has never been known to speak. The beast seemed curious about humans, but was very untrusting of them. She was a legend to the people of the area she liked to visit. Everyone wanted to catch a glimpse of the creature for some reason or another. Some heard the kiritsune ryu was the most beautiful thing to ever be seen. Others heard that she was wiser than human could ever wish to attain. Others just wanted to bathe in the wonder of the animal – a seeming blend of the great Ki-Rin, the king of the beasts, a Dragon, whose power and wisdom were known throughout the lands, and a kitsune- a troublesome and enigmatic creature
No one ever knew what happened the creature. Some say she was killed. Others say she just returned to the faerie land where she came. A few even swear she just hides in reclusion, only showing herself to those she deems worthy.
The Legend Continues:
Your Legend's Story: Long ago, a princess long abused by her father and brothers ran away into the countryside, longing to escape her existence. The reclusive and legendary beast, The Kiritsune-Ryu, a chimerical combination of a kitsune, dragon, and kirin, came to the princess's aide. The Kiritsune-Ryu rarely ever showed themselves to humans, so this was a great event. The magnificent creature promised to help the princess in hiding, and the two became great friends. Their love was strong, but the princess was careless. She once tried to sneak back to the castle to retrieve some of her worldly riches she had grown to miss. Agents of the emperor followed the princess, and she led them straight to the Kiritsune-Ryu.
What exactly happened is unsure. But what is certain is the princess died trying to protect the creature, but in vain. Both were slaughtered in the middle the Kiritsune's sacred field. It is unknown if that Kiritsune was the last of its kind, or if all others have just gone into hiding, angry of humans for killing one of their own. But since then, not a single Kiritsune has been seen since.
However, a legend is whispered: when the blood of the princess and the beast mixed as they lie dying, it is said that it turned into a flower petal, and was wisked away by the wind.

Bio: Kamiki is an attractive, fun loving young woman. She prides herself in her Rags to Riches story: she came to Gaia without a memory or a peice of gold in her pocket, and managed to work her way to success.
Who She Knows: Her lover, Sabin, and thier son, Gavin. Her adpoted daughters Kitsumai, Vulpina, and Purrpurr. Her best friend is Simon. Also all GMFC children, parents, and regulars.

Gifts and Posessions
Speckles was Kitsu's first pet. She's a leopard gecko that Kitsu raised since it was an egg.
Skye is Kitsumai's Dream pet, given to her by Kamiki. Dreams are fragile, graceful, bird-like creatures that thrive off a certain emotion - in this case, affection.

The Dream That Started It All Kamiki opened her eyes and found herself amoung a grove of sakura trees. She didn't remember how she got there, or why, but the sight of aroma of the falling blossoms was so amazing she didn't care. She felt so right in this place. Like the trees where cradling her in its protected glade.
A gust of wind sent a storm of the blossoms swirling around her in a vortex of beautiful pink flowers and soft smell. As the wind died down, Kamiki saw herself approached by a magnificent creature. She was walking on four legs, but, like a centaur, she had a human-shaped torso and arms. Her silver fur rustled in the breeze, and the golden horn curving from her head caught glimmers of the sunlight.
When Kamiki saw her fox-like face, she realized that her own shape had changed. She was in her full fox "demon form" - a large violet fox with feathered wings. She padded over to the creature, nodding in respect. Though as bid as a wolf in this form, the horse-sized Kiritsune Ryu towered over her.
The creature's voice was haunting and soft-but almost musical in its harmonic sound.
"You are the Elder Kitsune, Kamiki. You must help me. A lost soul and the pure soul of a Kiritsune Ryu has been blended. You must care for this child."
Before Kamiki had the chance to respond, the dream faded away and Kamiki jerked awake.
It took Kamiki several long seconds for her to register she had been dreaming. It took her even longer to realize she wasn't in her home in Gambino. She was in the forest outside the borders of Barton- the same place she awoke when she first came to this land. She looked down and cradled in her arms was a small baby girl-a girl Kamiki soon named Kitsumai.

I still can't explain where Kitsumai really came from. I'm sure I had to find her somewhere, but according to the Gaian Government, there are no missing centaur-kitsune-dragon-kirin babies. (o_O)
She certainly is cute, though! Just like a baby deer or horse, she can move around quite well for being so young, but her legs are wobbly and her cordination is nill. I have to be really careful abuot not letting her fall...
She's certainly beautiful. She reminds me a lot of Purrpurr when she was a baby... this mysterious, innocent little creature.
I don't know why my pregnancy is taking so long. I think I've been so stressed and so concentrating on helping everyone else have children that my magic energy levels are running low. I'm ready to have this child. My son and Kitsumai will be great playmates as they grow up. ^_^

Kitsumai's New Clothes
Kamiki came into her house, holding Mai, having just returned from the Legends HQ. Mai met Chesai, but didn't make a sound, as usual.
"Are you mute, little one?" Kamiki asked hypothetically as she set the little 'taur down on the plush carpet. Mai tilted her head and blinked, not understanding.
Kamiki pulled a large silk purple ribbon from a drawer and went over to Mai. She lifted the little girl's arms and wrapped the huge ribbon around her front several times before finally tying it into a big bow on the front of her chest.
"There we go, a little modesty ribbon for my little girl. Don't want you to get in the habit of galloping around in public in the nude! " She giggles, tickling Mai gently on her sides.
The taur examined the ribbon as it was tied, then her face lit up in a silent giggle as Kamiki brushed her nails over her ribs. With a smile and small, barely audible grunt like noise, Kitsumai held open her arms, begging to be help. Kamiki's heart melted as she wrapped the baby in her arms and carried off to her room.

Kamiki sat down with Mai on the floor. She just watched as her new little baby wobbled along the floor, not taking more than a few steps away from her "mother"
Mai was so... quiet. Occasionally, she would make a soft grunt or mew like sound.. but it was faint, and only when she seemed very frustrated or desperate. She didn't cry, she didn't laugh....
"Mai, sweetie, come here.."
Doing as she was told, Mai turned around and carefully made her way back towards her mother.
"Good girl... can you say "Momma?""
Mai looked at her and cocked her head.
"I want you to say it, Mai... can you say "Momma?"
Mai opened her mouth and mouthed out the words, but didn't make a sound.
