Um.. I guess I should start with prebirth.
My mother had an ovarian problem. She was on birth control pills since she was 16 and her condition worsened. My mother was claimed barren by many a physician. She was physically unable to produce children. My mother was God-fearing, but not a Christian per se. When she "got with" my father, okay, let's call a spade a spade, hm? Mommy had sex with daddy out of wedlock and somehow a barren woman conceived a child. Crazy, no?
Now, my father wanted this child aborted because he had another child, a son, for another woman and didn't want to put up with this burden. He offered to pay for the abortion and everything. My mother told him no, and that was pretty much the last of my father for many a year. My mother had me, but there were complications. I was a premature 4 lb 6 oz baby. I was born under 8 months if I remember correctly. The doctors told my mother that there was a very slim chance of my survival. I was incubated for 2 weeks and my name was given "Asha". It was taken from Asher, the Jewish tribe, the name means "happy"/"blessed"... Asha also means something else: "life". Sidetracked a bit.. but.. continuing Gee Dee.
I survived (well obviously). I grew up knowing of my Heavenly Father. He was my Father, I hadn't any other figure so He was a very big part of my life since I was a child. At 2, I convinced my mother to become a Christian, as well as her boyfriend at the time with whom she was living.
I, myself, became a Christian at a wee 7. I found that Christianity offered everything that every other religion posed as null and void (by the way, I'm Jewish by law - cough cough- ). Supreme love. Somebody loved me so much that they'd die for me?? Wow! And it was all a gift. I don't have to work my way there. (Just pointing out that good deeds are a sort of follow up to being a Christian).
I have found peace, love, joy and completely and utter blessings in my life and I live up to my name (10 years later almost). xd There have been my own personal revelations in my life of Jesus Christ, but I shall not waste anymore page space on myself.

Your mother was barren, had sex out-of-wedlock (a sin against the body, and God), and still she bore a child. He had heart mercy heart on you and your mother. You have been called by Him, surely. 3nodding
