In order to eliminate the filling of the off-topic topic with the current anti-mod feeling that is running through the guild, I've bumped this back up. Please use it to state your arguments and problems with the moderation on Gaia. Mind you that the rules still apply here so keep it within limits and any harassing of the moderators for their actions will be dealt with.

I don't have much to say about this... but I'm sure a lot of people here know who I am or who I used to be. Well as some of you know and some who don't I feel I've totally been screwed over by Gaia's mods and their arbitrary rulings.

I'm kind of in a hurry about things so I'll just post a few examples.

Remade a thread which was trashed because of the abusive nature, and the flame war it spawned.

Had prior disciplinary measures (of at least 14 days, according to WhiteJoker) before mod.tools

was available.

Hello,

My main account, Orlan Drake, was recently permanently banned from Gaia for what I was told was "Trolling and Prior offences". Before I was banned I recieved a PM notifying that a thread of mine which was apparently borderline trolling. In that PM it was stated that I had a "Previous 14 day ban not on record" which is completely and totaly false. I have been banned before but never for 14 days. I was banned for three days almost a year ago but never for 14 days. I check Gaia at least once everyday and never have I been banned for that long.

Also, the mod who sent me this PM was Kansai_Gal

After that my trading pass was suspended and when I came back later that night and I was banned. I recieved an E-mail a few days later telling me it was "Trolling and priors"

I've talked to several people and they have all called this a wrongful ban and that I should take it up with you.

Personally I'm at a loss and I have no idea what to do. All I know is what I've been told and that this 14 day ban nonsense is a lie.

All things considered, with the accumulations of warnings over time, it is not surprising your account has been banned permanantly. However I will request those involved to

read your message.

Well I'm just checking to see if any progress has been made in so called miscommunication. Once again I have never recieved a 14 day ban, which is what I should be recieving now in place of a perma ban, only a 3 day suspension roughly a year ago.

The ban will not be reversed. The amount of past warnings should have resulted in more bannings, so the result is permanent.

Thoughts like your thread being deleted had absolutely nothing to do with anything you posted, and as such shouldn't have gotten you warned, banned, or anything else. Wouldn't Kyle also be banned if that was normal procedure? I have already done some poling around about this and it seems that one of the sticking points was that you didn't get permission from a moderator to restart the topic.

I once got in major trouble for defending someone from a crazy n00b. It was a 12-hour suspension, I think. The n00b didn't even get in trouble and they were just abusing the hell out of me and the kid.

I was appalled.

But it was for a picture that someone else posted.......

Well, I don't know about you, but when I see Joe n00b remake his Inuyasha topic for the umpteenth time, he's not getting banned by the mods even temporarily. gonk

Well, I don't know about you, but when I see Joe n00b remake his Inuyasha topic for the umpteenth time, he's not getting banned by the mods even temporarily. gonk

That's cuz he doesn't know better, seeing that we're capable of progressive thought, we are exempt from whatever protects him from his repeat thread being binned and he getting a warning from a moderator.

I got a warning because I didn't use emoticons in my post. I don't use emoticons, it's not masculine.

Yeah, pretty much. But it wasn't an entire thread. Just one post.

Lack of emoticons makes a post seem aggressive.

I got warned when my friend hacked into my Gaianm account and posted a cybering thread in the personals.

Apart than that, I haven't gotten warned.

Well that one is understandable because advertising other threads was stated as being against the rules and would result in warning/temp. ban.
